In the "history" dropdown, there is an option to "restore previous session". i want to take this option away completely.
i am not talking about crashes or my home page. i am talking about the option in the history drop down that enables anyone who comes behind me to restore my session after i am gone.
cor-el, i have read multiple threads with this question, and you always seem to post these links. i do not think that you are understanding the question properly. i read the first link you posted, and the most relevant item was "disabling session store completely". so i went into about:config, and did what i was told. i set the preferences browser.sessionstore.max_tabs_undo and browser.sessionstore.max_windows_undo to 0. '''this doesnt work'''. after i do this, i close firefox, and reopen. in the history dropdown there is ''still'' an option to restore previous session, i click it and it restores session.
diego, your answer isnt what i was hoping for. i would like to remain signed into the pages i frequent. such as gmail, youtube, ect. your solution signs me out of everything every time. so, though technically it works, this isnt the option i want to use. but after tinkering with the options in this section i figured it out for anyone else with my same concerns:

I don't like anything opening automatically when I start Firefox, so before Firefox 4 I set Firefox to open a blank page when it starts. I still had set a page I visit frequently as my home page, so I could get to that page quickly by pressing the home button. If I needed to close Firefox it was nice and easy to have the option to save my session and close (I've already searched and read another post and answer on how to restore this feature in about:config). I understand that Firefox 4 always saves your session and you can restore it from the history menu, but then I would have to remember if I had anything open and click menu/History/Restore Previous Session.
Now in Firefox 4 I have left the home page set to about:home so if I had tabs open when I closed it I would see the Restore Previous Session "button" the next time I start it. However, when I close all windows and tabs before exiting Firefox, the Restore Previous Session "button" will be sometimes be there. If I click it, it will open a random tab or window that I visited the previous day, which was NOT the last tab/window that I had open.
If I do have tabs open when I close it, it does correctly re-open them when using the Restore Previous Session button, it only does this if I do a clean exit (close all tabs/windows before close).
I tried deleting the sessionstore.js and sessionstore.bak files from my Firefox appdata directory (there were no other sessionstore.* files). This is a clean install of Firefox 4, I didn't install on top of Firefox 3.6.xx. I uninstalled Firefox 3.6.xx before installing and made sure to delete any leftover files in my appdata, programdata and program files directories.I thought about that before and tried it, and it doesn't seem to make a difference. I did it just now, I opened a blank tab and closed everything else, waited a minute then closed Firefox. I waited another minute and launched Firefox. The Restore Previous Session box was there on about:home. I clicked it and it opened a new window with about:home in it.

How to restore previous session using the control panel
I have tried all pathways through firefox with no results. There is a way to restore previous session using the control panel. I tried it before and it worked but I forgot to write down the pathway and lost this method. Does anyone know it?
thank youI can't think of anything useful in the Windows Control Panel, but perhaps you were using the System Restore feature? As a shortcut for that, you could try the Previous Versions tab of the Properties dialog for sessionstore.js or sessionstore.bak.
First, I recommend backing up your current sessionstore files.
Open your current Firefox settings (AKA Firefox profile) folder using
Help > Troubleshooting Information > "Show Folder" button
Leaving that window open, switch back to Firefox and Exit
Copy sessionstore.js and sessionstore.bak to a safe location (e.g., Documents folder). If you cannot see those file extensions, try this Microsoft support article: [http://support.microsoft.com/kb/865219].
Then right-click sessionstore.js, click the Previous Versions tab, and see what is available. -
I recently upgraded my motherboard on my MacBook Pro and I need to re-download the Adobe CC software I purchased. My Purchase Order History claims I didn't have a history. There are not options to redownload either. I am logged on right now. Please advise.

Recently, FF has started opening my last tabs when I start a fresh session. I have already checked to make sure that none of the applicable settings are enabled, such as under Options->General: When FF starts "SHOW MY HOMEPAGE" is selected. But for some reason, it opens my last session. The only way I've been able to get it to stop doing this is by having it delete my browsing history after I close the session. I don't want this since I often use my history to re-find information I need for class research. I have made certain that all my settings are the same from before FF started doing this. It only started doing this after the computer was turned off for a long weekend.
I've already searched through the Mozilla help pages and all I can find is how to restore the previous session or similar. I don't want to restore my previous session, I want it to stop restoring my previous session without having to delete my browsing history each time.Using the instructions here:

I have tried to install Creative Cloud but I just get a blank white screen with a black Creative Cloud bar at the top. There are no options to choose 'Apps' etc. Can anyone help?

Dear Sir/Madam,
I do hope you are able to assist me - I lodged a query earlier on today and got a response (I've put it below) really quickly and was much appreciated; however it didn't address my query (it seemed to just cover what I had already found on the website and not that I don't have the "Restore" buttons on either my Firefox homepage or on the pull down menu.
If you could let me know how to restore a previous session without either the "Restore" button on the homepage or the pull down Firefox menu, it would be appreciated (Also, I have not changed my settings)

You can check browser.sessionstore.* prefs including browser.sessionstore.resume_from_crash on the about:config page and reset browser.sessionstore prefs that are user set (bold) via the right-click context menu to the default value to make sure that Session Restore is enabled and working properly.

Initially I had downloaded Document 2 (Free) application to view my doc, ppt and xls files. I was not able to edit the files so there was an option for upgrade the Document-2 free to paid version. I have upgraded the Document 2 application. But on my iPad now there are to application present Docemnt-2 (Free) and Document-2. I am not able to open any existing document using the upgraded version of application. How do I connect all the existing txt,PPT,XLS doccument to the new upgraded Document-2 application and then to edit it on my iPad.
As suggested I had deleted the free application and did a hard restart the iPad. I have again copied the document using iTunes. But I am not able to edit any document using this app. Document 2 (paid version) supports editing features of the txt/ xls /ppt files. Is there any problem while loading the Document 2 app. If I reload then do I need to purchase again?

I have successfully deauthorised my old computer but a unable to authorise my new machine. I have followed the instructions but there is no option on the store menu to 'Authorise this computer'. Please help!
There's a couple of ways to get through to the authorisation controls in the 11.0.x versions.
The control is still in the Store menu, but first (if you're using iTunes versions 11.0.x) you might need to bring up the menu bar to see the Store menu.
If you're using 11.0.x, click on the wee boxy icon up in the top-left corner of your iTunes to see the "Show Menu Bar" control, as per the following screenshot:
Then you'll find the control in the Store menu:
Alternatively, if you don't want to bring up the menu bar, it's still possible to get into the authorise controls via nested menus accessible from the wee boxy icon. Here's a screenshot of where to find them: -

The tech support people can help with Playbook purchased apps. If you've called and they said they cannot, you were lied to.
Even in the link you posted, in #10, it states clearly "App Refund related matters are handled by BlackBerry Customer Care." That, my friend is accessed by the support number. Again, if you were told otherwise, you should inform them of such or ask for a manage/supervisor.
And, you don't have a "Partner ID" because you are not a "Partner". The section you're referring to applies to mobile providers, which are the Partners.

Where is the option to restore previous session?
I just upgraded firefox to version 29 and the dropdown menu in the upper left corner is gone. I can't find the options menu. I can search history, but I can't find the option to restore previous session. Ctrl+shift+t works to open tabs in the current session but it will not restore my previous session.
How do I restore my previous session?I am experiencing the same problem and the option is greyed out. I also have it set to open at my last session which is not working either.

Had about 15 windows w/ tabs open. System was a little sluggish and had not been rebooted in weeks so I Quit FIREFOX. Restarted the Mac, then FIREFOX. Option to Restore Previous Session was grayed out. I haven't used that computer since, hoping not to overwrite record of previous session.
I've used the Restore Previous Session feature many times before without any problems.You used the data. Verizon can not see what it was sued for. However your phone can see whats apps used the data. go to settings-data usage- there will be a place that says data usage cycle. line the dates up with your cycle. then there will be a bar graph below that extend bother white bars one all the way to the left and one all the way to the right. after those are extended below that will be a list of apps, there should be one that used over 2 gb and that will show you what app used that data in her purse

I've gone through all support pages, and still can't find a solution. I'm needing to restore to a specific day/time period. I lost literally hundreds of hours of research...and MUST find a way to get those Tab Groups and Tabs restored.
Again, for some reason, the Restore Previous Session option is greyed out...and not an option.
From what I've read, there may be some files in the Firefox profile folder that can be used, but it's not clear the steps to take to see if this would do what I need, and before I mess with those files, etc... I'd really need someone from tech support to review all this and assist me.You can try to restore a previous version of the sessionstore.js file.
