Try forcing iPhoto to load the Library on the External Hard drive by launching it while holding down the Option key. Choose the Library on the External HD, and quit iPhoto, see if iMovie can see the Library with the iPhoto Videos contained inside.

You can transfer itunes purchases: File>Devices>Transfer Purchases
The iphone is not a storage/backup device. The sync is one way - computer to iphone. The exception is itunes purchases.
It has always been very basic to always maintain a backup copy of your computer. Use your backup copy to put everything back. -
Whenever I update my iPhone software, it asks me to sign in to iCloud with an old email address. My other devices all have the correct address. How can I get the correct address for my iPhone? The only Apple ID that works for logging in is my new one.
To change the iCloud ID you have to go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account, provide the password for the old ID when prompted to turn off Find My iPhone (if you're using iOS 7), then sign back in with the ID you wish to use. If you don't know the password for your old ID, or if it isn't accepted, go to https//appleid.apple.com, click Manage my Apple ID and sign in with your current iCloud ID. Tap edit next to the primary email account, tap Edit, change it back to your old email address and save the change. Then edit the name of the account to change it back to your old email address. You can now use your current password to turn off Find My iPhone on your device, even though it prompts you for the password for your old account ID. Then go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account and choose Delete from My iDevice when prompted (your iCloud data will still be in iCloud). Next, go back to https//appleid.apple.com and change your primary email address and iCloud ID name back to the way it was. Now you can go to Settings>iCloud and sign in with your current iCloud ID and password.

I am trying to import standard midi file that I created in Band in a Box into Logic Pro 9. I can not get all the track to play with internal instrument sounds... only the piano track. how can I get the others to play... drums, bass etc???? Help
Don't drag the midi into an open Logic project. The tracks won't set up correctly.
'Open' the midi file with Logic as if it were a Logic project. Then all the tracks will be set up so you can start editing them and applying better saved sounds and instruments, but you'll be at a starting place where you can hear what's going on. -
I have Elements 10 and a Nikon D7100. PSE10 CR 6.7 does not support the 7100 NEF. How can I get the updates to do this?
The D7100 requires camera raw 7.4 which is not compatible with Photoshop Elements 10.
Your two main options are
1) Buy a newer version of Photoshop Elements
2) Use the Adobe DNG converter to convert the NEF files to DNG files which can then be used by Photoshop Elements 10.

My iPad2 side switch is acting up, it will only allow me to have either sound or rotate. If I unmute the rotate won't work, if I mute the rotate works. How can I get the iPad to unmute and rotate? I have restored, downloaded updates and rebooted.
You should be able to control the function that the side switch isn't controlling via the left-hand end of the taskbar : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4085 - is the icon that appears there (notification mute or rotation lock) indicating that that function is 'off' ?

I just recently upgraded to iMovie 10.0.1. Now whenever I import video clips that are longer than 30 minutes, it automatically splits them at 30 minutes. How can I get my entire video clip without a break again?

This is a silly question, but I cannot fix it! The icons that appear on my photos after I edit them, have gone away. The only way I can see them is in the Grid view.

Using your mouse, mouse over the top line of the filmstrip and then drag it supports to increase the size.

Quickest place to look is in the label attached to the box the phone came in.
Not around anymore? Maybe the carrier you used the phone with can facilitate the information. Also, when under contract, the IMEI is listed in the paperwork. Apple, alas, is quite unhelpful with that information. -

iMovies design is designated to 'convenience' - as little as confusing 'options' as possible.
mp4 is just a wrapper, or media container, don't be confused with the antiqué mpeg4 codec - the mp4 iMovie creates, contain h.264 as codec.
When you export a fullHD project, the bit-rate is ~20-25mbps - close to max., a camcorder creates (28mbps).
For sure, pic quality depends on many more factors, not only export-settings.......
