Inactive objects
HI All,
I am tranporting transfer rules ,structure n infoobjects from dev to prod.thru transport requests.
I have tried with the correct procedure but few of the items remain inactive in prod.
I dunno why.Please suggest
Hi,
Are you transporting source system dependant objects like transfer structure and they are inactive.
In this case please make the following setting in prod before transporting.
RSA1-- tools -- conversion of logical source system names.
Please maintain the source system names here.
The retransport the request.
In case of other errors please specity the error mesage from the transport log.

Nitin

Error while activating XI App: references the inactive object
Guys,
I am getting this error when I am activating my XI application .

Make sure you have saved and activated all your dependent objects. If you have imported RFC structure then check
for e.g. ZGET_STOCKQUOTE is your imported RFC structure then make sure its saved and activated.
Then try activating your message mapping.

How to activate all inactive objects for current user
Hi
How to activate all inactive objects for current user ...
... I have found a (long winded) way to do this:
- Environment / Inactive Objects
- Add to Worklist
- Display Worklist
- Select All
- Activate
this will open a dialog titled "Inactive Objects for <username>"
which has the exact functionality I need ... but I can't figure out how to get to this dialog directly - without so many intermediate steps
the SAP docs repeatedly mention the ability to activate the inactive worklist - but do not mention how
does anybody know the TCode for this dialog?
thanks
ps does the term "mass activation" apply to importing change requests rather than development activation?
Edited by: FireBean500 on Jun 4, 2010 11:07 PMNo other way. But usually it's far more simple as all objects are already in our own worklist.
I wonder why your objects are not already in your worklist, as everytime you create or maintain an object, it is added to your worklist. -
Report to identify Inactive objects
Hi,
I faced some issues after Upgrade,
where there were certain transactions that gave dump saying that a particular field or table doesnt exist.
but when I went thru SE11 I did find those fields and tables in Active Mode, but even showing it Active, I activated it and later when I ran the t-codes which gave me dumps, didnt show any dumps.
So is there a report or a way thru which we can identify objects which are Inactive even after the Upgrade ?
Rewards for worth.
AdityaHi,
Go through this blog.
http://theguruspeaksaboutsap.blogspot.com/2007/09/upgrade-transaction-spdd-spau.html
You can also go to se80 and select inactive objects from the list box. This will show you all the inactive objects.
Reward if helpful.

Any help to fix this issue.
Rg,
KarthikHello Karthik
I know the list is long. Unfortunately I have never had such a long list of inactive objects in the system during an update or upgrade. But I believe you can make use of the mass activation program RADMASG0 to have them activated. The other option I can think of is to use the function module RS_INACTIVE_OBJECTS_LIST to list all the inactive objects and see whether they can be mass activated from there. I believe it is possible to activate all from there after selecting a block. (Never tried so I cannot guarantee).

How to find inactive objects in transport?
I have a transport with alot of objects. I do not want to go into each one to check active status. How can I see the status of the objects in a list linked to that transport or simply check which ones are inactive?
hi JJ,
Goto SE01, give in your request number -> display -> Request/Check -> Complete Check.
I believe this will list you all inactive objects.

Inactive Objects and Open Repairs found
Hi All,
I am applying Support Packs to my Solution Manager 7.1 system. I am in the Preprocessing step (SUM) and it has halted with: Inactive Objects and Open Repairs found.
There is a transport that needs to be released, but when I try to release it, it states:
Object INTF IWCI_POWL_TABLE_COMP is inactive
Object INTF IWCI_WDC_MAI_REP_DATA_PROVIDER is inactive
When I go to SE80, the objects have a status of:
Implemented / Inactive
When I activate them, I get a successful activation message, but they don't activate.
Not sure what to do. Any input would be appreciated.
Thanks,
DianaHi RB,
Yes, I've done the steps in note 1882203. It says it activated, but it doesn't. Here is the log from SUM:

Reading Inactive objects using repo API
Hi,
Is there a way to read inactive objects that resides inside a package using XSJS repo APIs. Also, How do we delete such objects. I have written code that would do the same for active version of objects only. But, not sure how to perform the same for inactive objects. Little pointer in this direction would be great.
Thanks in Advance,
Vikas. The Repository XSJS APIs are not documented nor released for external usage. Please do not discuss SAP internal only APIs on the public forums. As you are an SAP employee you should use the internal forums for such internal API questions.
I would add that even internally at SAP we aren't supposed to use the XSJS Repository APIs any longer. Please convert your code to use the REST Repository APIs instead. -
Dear experts,
My requirement is to be able to monitor the inactive objects in Prod system (such as infoobjects, cubes, transformations, DTP...), especially after import of transport orders.
Do you have any idea of hao I can achieve that?
RegardsHi,
I have tried earlier for this, but could not find any.
Not sure if we have something like what we had earlier for checking inactive obj in 3.x flow.
Transaction RSA1OLD --> Settings menu --> Select display options --> All inactive objects.

Delete all inactive objects in a Transport Request
Hi,
I want to delete all the inactive objects in a transport Request . How can i do this ? I have many inactive objects in a request so i want to delete them first and then transport it . How can i do this . Please help..Hi,
go to transaction se10 click on display individually enter teh request and click display and then you would get the list of all objects in that request so you can check which one are inactive and delete.
Or you can also go to se80 in the repository browser you can choose inactive objects so it would show all inactive objects for a user from there also you can delete objects.

Removal of Inactive Objects from Roles
Dear All,
Please let me know, how to remove the inactive objects in roles.
Thanks in Advance,
ThiyaguHi Thiyagu.
In addition to Bernhard & Arpan's inputs,Since the number of Manually maintained objects (Inactive Status) is very less in a role, the majority of them are left behind for manual clean up. As a best practice , Inactive objects are retained in roles to have some history in case of any audits and also to maintain the object dependency to see why the object got into the role ... It helps any new security admin's to steer through audits when old timers move out ...
Hope it helps.
