Inbox will only let me view 8-10 messages, no "Load more messages" option
I have an iPhone 3g, with my gmail account synced to the email. It downloads the email, but I can only view 8-10 most recent messages at a time. I chose to be able to view 200. The user guide says to load additional messages "scroll to the bottom of the list and tap load more messages" for the inbox when I scroll to the bottom of the list of 10 messages, there is no "load more messages" option. Just the little arrow to check for mail and the option to compose a new message. Also if I want to search for and old message, it always says "no message found continue search on server" and then says "no message found". All of my email goes to my "inbox".

I was having the same problem...I looked into a lot of obscure solutions, until I realized I was missing the obvious one.
I went to: settings; Mail, Contacts, Calendars; clicked on the mail account I was struggling with (did realize there where more options available there); changed the "Mail Days to Sync".

I purchased the Great Gatsby, and when I say I want to play the movie now, it takes me to the Extras Preview but doesn't let me play the movie, and there is no play option anywhere. I would report it to iTunes Store support - I think you are saying that you were able to play it via the Computers icon from your laptop - this mode does not support Extras (typical as that's how I'd use them but can't as you cannot download Extras to iTunes any more).
There are several examples of people trying to play movies from the cloud where the menu does not have the play option. -
InDesign CC will only let me place images from one directory
I am a print designer and recently switched from a PC to a MacBook Pro. I'm using InDesign CC and it will only let me place images from one directory. If I try and choose another directory, the Finder window just disappears.
Are you on Mac 10.9? There is an issue on mac 10.9 w.r.t finder window when try to open/pace file in "cover flow view" mode. The finder window dissapears then.

When I open iTunes, it will not allow me to preview or download TV shows. The preview and download options are gray and will not let me view them. I have tried installing the latest Quicktime but it tells me that I have to do software update and when I do, Quicktime does not appear to need an update. I have no idea what to do
Click on your preference and check the Parental tab for possible restrictions. Open iTunes, then click the iTunes menu, select preferences after the window opens click on the Parental icon, take a look at the content restrictions section.

When I try to save an image under the command 'save as' it will only let me save as file types 'firefox document' or 'all files' and when I try to look at them later they dont work. How can I save an image as the same file type it is on the web site?!

They both show as a Chrome HTML document so changing how Firefox addresses those doesn't help since it thinks its the same type of file. I have a MacBook 5,1 (13.3" aluminum from 2007 or 2008). Automatic updates will only let me get to OSX 10.5.8. Can I upgrade to Snow Leopard, Lion 10.6 or even 10.6.8? Also, will I have any issues with my iPhone if it's updated to iOS 7.1?

You can upgrade direct from 10.6.8 to 10.8 Mountain Lion without going through 10.7 Lion with the Late 2008 model 5,1 Aluminum Unibody. The Model 5,1 will probably run 10.9 Mavricks when it comes out.
10.8 Mountain Lion is a download from the App Store, the price is $19.99.
Mountain Lion will require at least 2gb of RAM but really needs 4gb to run smoothly.

Also Mountain Lion doesn't run any Power PC programs. To see if you have any Power PC programs go to the Apple in the upper left corner and select About This Mac, then click on More Info. When System Profiler comes up select Applications under Software. Then look under Kind to see if any of your applications are listed as Power PC. Universal and Intel will run under Mountain Lion.
Before Mac switched to Intel processors in 2006 they used Power PC processors from 1994 to 2005. Power PC 601 through 604, G3, G4 and G5. Applications written for the Power PC processors need the application called Rosetta to run on Intel processors. This was part of the Operating System in 10.4 and 10.5 but was an optional install in 10.6. With 10.7 Lion Apple dropped all support for Power PC applications. -

There used to be a 'buy all' button on the wish list screen but for some reason that has been removed from the current version of iTunes so you will need to buy each item individually. I would say yes. I once had the same problem (iPhone 5, IOS 7) and first restored to factory settings and after that from iCloud backup.

When I updated my iphone software, I lost my contact information. I see the backup on the devices menue in iTunes. However, it will only let me delete this backup and not restore it. How can I restore my old contacts to my iPhone? Thanks!

Upgraded to Lion, CS3 programs will only let me open 1 photo per session, what gives?
Just upgraded to Lion from Snow Leopard. Now my CS3 Creative Suite programs will only let me open one picture per session. I then have to completely close out of photoshop or illustrator or whatever and reopen to open another picture. Any suggestions before I have to take my computer to the apple store.

I'm not sure the Apple Store will troubleshoot 3rd party software that is 3 versions old. -

That's not an issue with your iphone, but a limitation from your email provider on the size of the documents you can send and receive. This will hold true for the recipient email account you're trying to send to.

My 4 gig MuVo will only let me use 224 megabyt
I have a Nomad MuVo2 4.0 gig and I can put music on it but it will only let me use 224 mb. I updated the firmware, drivers, and I reformatted it more than once. I've also tried using different programs to load music but none can put on more than like 50 because of the memory issue.... Please help, i dont want to have to buy another one. -matt

Other MuVo players have a problem if too many files are placed in the root folder of the device. I'm not sure if this applies to your MuVo2 as it has a HDD but if you do access it using folders (does it appear as a dri've letter in Windows Explorer?) then the solution is to create sub-folders beneath the root folder and put your files there. You don't have to go as far as creating separate folders for each album - a single Music folder with everything else inside it will work.
Apologies if I have got it wrong about the way the MuVo2 works.
