Increaszing font size in smartforms

Hello,
I created a smartform, all fields it's ok except one: I have space for 10 character but I wont to display 14 without changing font size.
do you know how to decrease Width of the character without changing the Height?

I tried out a smartform to replicate your need. Well, what i did is created a smartform with a text. I created a smartstyle and attached it to the smartform. In the style, i created 2 Pragraph format nodes. One in Helve and 1 in arial with diferrent font size.
Now in teh smartform, when you have a text element, you can select the text and on the left hand side on the editor you see an option to assign the paragraph format. Here you would have both the pragraph formats you have created in your style. As per yuour need, you could chose the correct format out of the list.

you can do it first you need to goto smartforms tcode there click on radiobutton 'Style'.
Give any name and click on create. Right sideyou can find character format right click on it and create a node .A pop will raise gve a 2 characterlike z1 or a1 etc click on font tab gve size and font style and click on save and activate. Use this style in your smartform you can apply what ever styles created in styles you can use it in your smartform by that smartstyle name.
When we create text in output options give your smart style name and click on general attributes . Select your text and apply the style what thse size it should be and what the font style it should be.
Goto smartforms tcode and select formpainter in application bar set layout according to your requirement.

Change Font Size in SMARTFORMS

Hi Experts,
I am developing a smartform for label printing.
for that according to the size of the label i have to adjust the content.
How can I change the font size of the entire content including the logo?
I tried to reduce the font size in the new style but it doesn't reflect in the print.
Please suggest how to proceed for this situation.

I too agree with kaushik...i too faced the same problem...
One solution is provided by kaushik..another is if u want to use single smartform then go for program lines or coding lines for the particular window...You can design the smartform as per the requirement and once the smartform is executed the particular window will execute as per the condition provided...big one or small one...

check out the smart styles...create a font of ur size n use.
Define the paragraphs & character formats using SMARTSTYLES & use them in your smartform.
You have to give the smartstyle name in the Form attributes-->Output options for the formats to be used in your smartform.
You can define font size in Smartform Style.
Smartform Styles > Charcterformat> Font --> size.
to load the font to SAP server chk this

Font size increases when smartform is sent as email attachment

Hi,
I am facing a problem with font size of smartforms. when the output medium is printer, the form looks good. but when i convert smartform into PDF and send as email attachment, the font siz increases and text is getting truncated. Please help me solve this problem.

If still there is a problem, please do share a code.
Also check sending a PDF document from your system via a Email(Outlook), and open the same in a different system and look for the changes.

Font while printing Smartform

Hi All,
I have a requirement where i need to display Large Font size in Smartform. I am able to display the same for the PRINTER in print preview.
But when i print the smartform, the font is printed in very small size.
I think it is because the printer is not supporting the font.
Please let me know the workaround for such problem.

method for font size....
Define the paragraphs & character formats using SMARTSTYLES & use them in your smartform.
You have to give the smartstyle name in the Form attributes-->Output options for the formats to be used in your smartform.
frm ur pc only u can get this font file..
go to control panel , in tat go to font and select your desired font file..
now give the path of this font file in se73..
after doing that this file will be uploaded into ur SAP server.
Se73 - > True type font installation - > Font name - > specify the name of the font file - > execute

Smartforms-Dynamic Change of Font Size in main window

Hi Friends,
How shall I be able to change dynamically the font size in main window of smartform. If the records are more in main window then the layout comes in 2 pages but if less in 1 page. So I want to decrease the font if the records are more to assign it in 1 page.
Eg : I can print only 10 lines in 1 page of main window, but if the records exceed 10 lines it is going to next page, so I want to shrink the font size to maintain the layout in 1 page.

Hi,
SmartForms does not offer the option to set some characteristics at runtime. You must work with conditions in your form.
First find out how many records you have in your table
DESCRIBE TABLE mytable RECORDS sy-tfill.
You create 2 texts nodes with the text to be output and assign the font and font size to them. Obviouly, one node will have a big font size and the other one a normal font size but both contain the same information and same variables.
You can now work with an alternative. If the condition (there are many records for a secondpage) is true, assign text node with normal font size to option TRUE and the other text node to FALSE.
Optionally, every text node has folder CONDITIONS, where you can say
SY-TFILL > 10 lines <-- for text node with normal font size
SY-TFILL <= 10 lines <-- for text node with big font size

Hi
You can create Smartstyles, in which you can define paragraph formats for texts and character formats for character level changes.
Paragraph format ---> alignment, font size etc
character format for ---> superscript, subscript.
After creating, in your smartform, there will be a option in the text element to enter a style.
You give the created style and you can use the paragraph and character formats i that style.

Font size incorrect when printing smartform

Hi,
I have a smartform containing many smaller windows with frames. One big window should show a word in grey and in big letters behind all the other windows.
In my smartstyles, I have used the font family "HELVE", font style bold and the size 72. When I print to a sap printer device, the word is printed in very small letters and in black. When I´m printing about LOCL and then on the same printer, the fontsize is correct.
What can I do to change that?
The second problem is, that the letters are shown over the frames of the other windows, but it should be completely in the background. I put the window with the backgorund letters as the first window on the screen to get it behind all others, but it´s not working....

Can not change the font size in a new text into the smartforms

Hi!!
I have a Footer window into my smartform and I've created a new text into this one
text type: Text element
nothing extrange.
I copied and paste a text from a word document and after that I want to change the font size to 8 and font style to Arial, but after saving the font size and styles goes back the 10 and Currier New.
Any idea?
I also tried typing the hole parragraph and I get the same issue!...

First Reset paragraph and Character and then set the new fontfor the same.
dont copy the same into word and back form
also goto change editotr and check the style used for the same.

Customizing font size ,format in smartform....

I m tried to create new style,and created t zstyle with paragraph format as A1 Arial, bold Italic
and character format as C1 Times, Bold with font size as 15, and standard paragraph has A1.
I checked and activated it succesfully.
I used this zstyle in Form attributes>output options>style> zstyle, and n the specified windows and tables.
But the output hasn't changed to the new style format,i m getting only the standard format, nothing has changed ...
so, give me a soln how to do this and ay corrections i have to make....

Hi,
Check these points
1. Make sure the Smart style is active.
2. Have you applied the Paragraph and Character format to smartform text. Just mentioning the style as zstyle in attributes will not cause any change.
Character format must be specified like <B>Terms of Prices :</>
3. Try the print preview with actual printer and not with "LP01" or "LOCL"

Change Font Size with PDF attachment via e--mail

Hi,
we don´t have many options for setting the font type and size in an ABAP list. One option is that you print the output using either SmartForms or AdobeForms, where you can control font type as well as size. This one requires additional work.
Another option is to use the instruction Print-Control:
NEW-PAGE PRINT ON.
PRINT-CONTROL FONT 1 SIZE 1 LPI 6 CPI 10.
WRITE: /10   'FONT 1 size 1 LPI 6 cpi 10'.
SKIP.
PRINT-CONTROL FONT 1 SIZE 5 LPI 6 CPI 5.
WRITE: /10   'FONT 1 size 5 LPI 6 cpi 5'.
SKIP.
PRINT-CONTROL FONT 2 SIZE 5 LPI 6 CPI 10.

Font Problem in Smartforms output

Dear all,
The smartforms which i have developed was working fine before. All on a sudden, the print out and print preview of all smartforms is not giving proper output. I am facing following problems.
Whatever the font size we are defining in smartforms, it is not reflecting on the Print preview output correctly.
Alignments are changed for all the smartforms that we have developed.
In most of the forms output, it is giving black shade in the boxes.
It is affecting all the smartforms output developed so far..
Few points i have noticed are:
It is not a problem with my system. It is working fine in IDES and Sandbox server.
I compared all the settings of smartforms with my DEV system and IDES. It is also same.
Things I have done one day before all these mes up:
I removed the MS Word editor for the smartforms in the transaction I18N.
Even after I removed the MS Word editor, I tested my smartforms output so many times.. it was working fine.. But all on a sudden i noticed the changes in output..
Can anyone please help me out in solving this?

Font Problem in SmartForm

Hi,
We have developed an Invoice in SmartForm which will display data in English and Thai Language. We have seperate Paragraph and Character Formats for them defined in one SmartStyle.
Now depending on the language some free text are maintained we have defined the conditions with TEXT outputs and displaying in THAI or ENGLISH Language.
The text which is hard coded in the Invoice (wether in English or in Thai) is displaying properly. But the text coming from data base on which we have put conditions based on language is having problem. The Thai characters are printing properly but English text is coming in smaller font.
Please help.... and thanks in advance

No Actually the Font size is same for both. still the ENglish text is displaying very small compared to Thai text.
and this is for the texts where data is coming dynamically.
Hardcoded texts are displaying and printing properlly in both fonts.

Changing font size for output device / spool file

hi all,
i see only these below parameters for print in the code of the transaction which gets spool no and output device as input and prints it.
i need to increase the font size of the print out.any help?

You can not do that in report.
If you need some output format like font type, color, size you have to use Smartforms or Sapscript.
Sapscript Tcode: SE71,
Smartforms TCode: SMARTFORMS.
