Indesign CS 4 assignment panel not available on mac

Using indesign CS4. Assignment panel under window menu is not available. Any help will be appraciated

Thanx for the follow-up. Sorry for the confusion. I was trying to work on your suggestion to move the discssion to Indesign but couldnt find a mechanism to move discussion, so I ended up creating another one under InDesign. Now I need to cancel/delete/close the one in creative Suit???
As for your reply, I did go down to the end of the window menu, but could not see any option as "display all menu item choice"
Is they any setting in perferences etc.....

I have done all Bindings and I am getting The date and time from BOR which I am using to triger an Event.

The Kuler panel not available in Adobe Photoshop CS6 french language pack ????

Why the Kuler panel is not available in Adobe Photoshop & Illustrator CS6 french language ???? it's ok when I make an Int. US language install ! can I find the kuler.atn somewhere?
Only the Mini Bridge appears in the extention panel....

and I suppose it's the same in the Canadian law too . So, if I understand you, I buy an incomplete software without any information from Adobe about that !!!!! and you don't alow me to use a complet french version of the software I paid and use on the US country because of a French law that nobody knows neither follow except ADOBE????? can you explain me more because I really don't understand your "no answer" to explain an other bug in your software... Why do you sell it as an incomplet solution at the same price in that case? Just have to inform every users about that and we will baught the US (or other language) versions in place of the french one...
Is there finaly a temporary solution to find & install the kuler extention from the US version to the french version in Photoshop & Illustrator (by myself, of course and without the agreement of ADOBE )

Flash CC - Exchange Panel not available

I`m posting this in the Flash and not the Exchange forums, because the rest of my CC apps, don´t have this problem, only Flash has:
1.Installed AdobeExchange 1.2.0 with the newest Extension Manager (7.0.0.347) on Win7x64
2.Exchange doesn`t show up under Extensions in Flash (but does so in illustrator, Photoshop, Dreamweaver etc), even after reboot.
Anyone has a workaround for this problem?

Exchange Panel is currently not available for Flash CC as mentioned in link https://www.adobeexchange.com/ under the "View Application" dropdown.
You will need to install the extensions via Extension manager until the panel gets re-enabled in a later update to flash pro.

When i choose the Indesign-Help in Menu i get a "Adobe Help Viewer is not available" Error.
All Products are on the latest updates.
How can i fix this?

ODBC Socket datasource not available on Mac install of ColdFusion 8

We are trying to download ColdFusion 8 on a Mac Intel Server
to connect to a FileMaker Pro 8 database. The datasources does not
include the ODBC Socket choice which is what I have to use to
connect to the database. Am I installing something wrong or what?
It does show up if I download it on a PC, but not on the Mac.

The odbc client/server app that ColdFusion 8 ( and mx6 &
mx7) uses to make ODBC connections is a windows only application.
Therefore ODBC socket is only available on windows. You will not
find it on linux, unix or mac versions.
FileMaker 9 appears to supply both ODBC and JDBC drivers.
Perhaps earlier versions do, too. Use a JDBC connection to connect
to filemaker as described
here.

Why is Mountain Lion not available for Mac Pro 2007???

Why is Mountain Lion not available for Macpro 2007 eventhough this computer is not having old generation hardware like of 15years ago's computers!! I am surprised to know about that. when this mac pro have 2 xeon processor, 8GB ram, OS 10.7.5 (Lion) etc etc. so why is this not compatible for mountain lion???
Very Sad for us - the buyer of so costly Macpro ....
so does the Apple want to say we should buy or upgrade our purchased costly apple products every 5 years ??!!

InDesign 5.0 tools/panels not activated with mouseover/mouseclick

The following summarizes the hardware, software, procedures and results in my attempt to resolve issues with InDesign 5.0. Suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks!

Intel Core i7 CPU Q820 @ 1.73GHz 1.73 GHz

64-bit Operating System
Pen Input Available
Wacom Intuos4 pen and mouse
Adobe Products:
Adobe Creative Suite 5 Master Collection, Version 5.0
Acrobat 9.4.6
Procedure:
The computer system control panel > program uninstall was used to clear all Adobe products except Acrobat, AIR, Flash Player and Media Player. The Adobe CS5 Cleaner Tool for Windows was installed and run at Clean All to remove all products and installer-related files for the Creative Suite 5.0.
The Creative Suite 5.0 was re-installed on the HP cpu using the registered program discs.
The Adobe 7_0_4 InDesign Patch-All was downloaded from Adobe and installed.
Result:
Tools Panel: Selection Tool and Direct Selection Tool will not highlight with mouseover nor activate with mouseclick.
Layers Panel: Can't click-on Layer Name to activate that Layer; individual Layer Names can't be double-clicked to rename; visability can't be toggled with mouseclick; the Create New Layer icon at bottom of panel can't be activated with a mouseclick; a New Layer can be created from the Panel upper dropdown menu; Panels location can be moved, panels opened/closed, and collapsed with mouseclick.
Character Panel: None of the Character styling dropdowns within the panel can be activated; Character styling options can be activated from the upper right panel options triangle dropdown, and they can be activated from the Application Bar: Type > Font and Type > Size. In the Type > Font flyout panel displaying all fonts, the mouse wheel will not scroll through the fonts.
Paragraph Panel: Can't click on paragraph alignment option icons.
Links Panel: In Pre-flight, can't activate link list item with mouseclick.
Stroke/Color/Swatch Panels: Can't activate any tools within these panels with mouse.

It could be an authorization issue then. Can you please check in the IMG the following menu path:
IMG
Materials Management -> Purchasing -> Purchase Requisition ->
Set Up Authorization Check for G/L Accounts.
Materials Management -> Purchasing -> Purchase Order ->
Set Up Authorization Check for G/L Accounts.
Documentation IMG:
"Set Up Authorization Check for G/L Accounts
In this step, you set up the authorization check for G/L accounts in the
case of purchase requisitions.
You can determine whether or not the authorization check is to be active
for each company code.
If the check is active, each time a G/L account is entered in a purchase
requisition, the system checks whether the user has the posting"
Please check whether the authorisation group in the account code
(transaction FS02, the field is on the 'Control data' tab, technical
name is BEGRU) is setup.
When a account assigned purchase requisition is created, the system
checks for object F_BKPF_BES with values from the BEGRU and activity 01.
This controls users to enter an account assignment when they
create a purchase requisition.

Font Panel not available?

The Font Panel refuses to open & it is going back & forth on my document with Helvetica (which I never chose) & Times New Roman, which I did choose. I am completing copies of a manuscript to try to get publishied and I need to open the Font Panel, which I've never seen, except in a small pop-up menu, which opens & closes indiscriminatively & is no help at all! Without this panel, Pages is screwing up my manuscript. Thanks for some good techie help.

Thank you so much for your good suggestions. My daughter, who is a PC specialist came home
to find me struggling, sat down & discovered the Font Panel had appeared for me, but had hidden on the right side of the screen under the dock (where I also hide my Mail window! So it was a freak problem. Anyway I also found the panel in TextEdit, just for a test. If I had waited, I would not
have posted.
But I want to tell you both, that the Discussion grouo techies have been invaluable to me and I want to thank everybody who helps Mac users for participating in a life-saving organization. I have had OS X.5.8 & Pages for about a year--Pages has been my Jonah, and too darn complicated for writers like me!

Image in panel not available right away?

I'm sure this simple beginner's question has been answered scores of times but I can't find a working explaination.

Thereafter, whenever I load a new image, it appears immediately.
How do I make my loaded image render when I load an image immediately after starting the application?

Toolkit loads an image in the background, so it may be some time before the image is completely loaded. ImageIO#read(...) blocks until the image is fully loaded. And yes, it's been answered scores of times.
Also,even if the image has actually loaded fully, your setImage(...) method doesn't call repaint() so the newly set image would only be painted at the next repaint, which would occur

LaserJet Pro MFP M225dw driver not available for Mac OS10.4.11

I can print by connecting the printer to the computer with USB connector. But without the driver, the printer is seen by the computer as a generic postscript printer; and the printer's special attributes such as 2-sided printing is not made available. Is there any alternative driver that may be used for this combination, please?

I see by your post that you are looking for the drivers for 10.4.11. I would like to help.
Unfortunately the only drivers available from HP are from 10.7 and higher.
HP LaserJet Pro MFP M225dw Drivers.
You have to update the Mac to use the Full HP Software drivers.

Space not available on Mac Pro Desktop

When i brough the Mac Pro Desktop in late 2009, i got 1 TB of disk space; currenty i see a no space available error on my desktop. i checked by Mac Pro setting and it only shows me that 500 Gb is full, but i cannot find a trace for the rest of the 500 Gb.
My apple warranty has expired on this equipment, so any ideas anyone ?

The message has nothing to do with low disk space. There is excessive swapping of data between physical memory and virtual memory. That can happen for two reasons:
You have a long-running process with a memory leak (i.e., a bug), or
You don't have enough memory installed for your usage pattern.
Tracking down a memory leak can be difficult, and it may come down to a process of elimination.
When you notice the swap activity, open the Activity Monitor application and select All Processes from the menu in the toolbar, if not already selected. Click the heading of the Real Mem column in the process table twice to sort the table with the highest value at the top. If you don't see that column, select
View ▹ Columns ▹ Real Memory
from the menu bar.
If one process (excluding "kernel_task") is using much more memory than all the others, that could be an indication of a leak. A better indication would be a process that continually grabs more and more real memory over time without ever releasing it. Here is an example of how it's done.
The process named "Safari Web Content" renders web pages for Safari and other applications. It uses a lot of memory and may leak if certain Safari extensions or third-party web plugins are installed. Consider it a prime suspect.
Another process often implicated in memory leaks is "inkjet8," which is a component of the HP printing softwre. If it's present, force-quit the process in Activity Monitor to solve the problem temporarily. If you don't use an HP printer, remove the software. Otherwise, if the problem is recurrent, update the software (which may not help) or contact HP support.
If you don't have an obvious memory leak, your options are to install more memory (if possible) or to run fewer programs simultaneously.
The next suggestion is only for users familiar with the shell. For a more precise, but potentially misleading, test, run the following command:
sudo leaks -nocontext -nostacks process | grep total
where process is the name of a process you suspect of leaking memory. Almost every process will leak some memory; the question is how much, and especially how much the leak increases with time. I can’t be more specific. See the leaks(1) man page and the Apple developer documentation for details.

Full Screen Hide Panels Not Working with Mac

They worked during my trial, but not since I purchased Lightroom. One thing that has changed is that I upgraded from OS 10.4 to 10.6 with Snow Leopard. Having the Full Screen Hide Panel mode is crucial to me since I work on a laptop and I need to see images as large as possible. Please help!

Thank you very much. Just to be clear (if I'm capable of it clarity which I doubt), neither the hitting shift + function + "f" key, nor going to the Window list and going to "Screen Mode" and selecting "Full Screen and Hide Panels" works. When I return to the screen mode option after having chosen "Full Screen and HIde Panels" the check is on "Full Screen". When I click on "Full Screen and Hide Panels" the Lightroom screen goes from "Full" to "Normal" if it had been at "Full" and goes to "Full" if it had been at "Normal", but never does it go completely full and entirely hide the panels so that there is nothing but image, with no panel markers at its border. That is how I remember it working during my trial.
Ian, "trash the existing preferences file"? What then? Don't I need it? Do I get a new one?

Open mail on iphone, mail not available on mac

This morning I opened a piece of mail IN APPLE MAIL on my iphone.
The account is not a mac account, but it is a personal imap account
When I opned my APPLE MAIL on my computer, that piece of mail was not there.
Is there any way to make sure it is still available to me on my desktop mail?
The whole IMAP and POP thing is so confusing.

Assuming this is a POP account, what is your setting for removing messages from the server when downloaded for the account settings on the iPhone?
An IMAP account is ideal in this situation - accessing the same account with an email client on different computers or devices which provides for keeping all server stored mailboxes synchronized automatically which is not possible with a POP account.
