InDesign CS6 hangs for a few seconds when transforming group (OSX 10.8)

I'm testing InDesign CS6 under OS X 10.8. Seems to work without problems - except one thing which I noticed several times while working on a document (that I was working on under 10.7 as well, without problems):
I transform a group of objects (mostly placed Illustrator EPS) by dragging one corner of the group (with one or more modifier keys). After a few moments InDesign gets unresponsive (it freezes, cursore won't move, although you can change apps via Alt+Tab). Activity monitor shows 100% CPU usage (for one CPU core, at least). After a few seconds, everything goes back to normal.
Process analysis looks sth like that (it goes on and on like this):
This might be a problem related to this very document. On the other hand, this worked flawlessly under 10.7. So maybe someone at Adobe wants to look into that?

In the meanwhile, I opened another document that contains the same group of objects. No hangs here. So this might indeed be a problem related to the document itself.

Firefox hangs for a few seconds when trying to pause videos or skip ads on Youtube.

Hello all!
My problem is that YouTube sort of hangs for a few seconds when I try to pause a video or skip ahead or skip ads. The video freezes while the audio keeps playing until, after say 5 seconds, youtube finally does what I tell it to do.
This doesn't happen if the video is embedded on a different website, nor does it happen on Vimeo, Dailymotion etc. I can play YouTube videos perfectly while using Chrome, IE and a Windows 8 Youtube app I have.
After the initial freeze all commands start working very well, at least until I open a new video.
I noticed that a lot of people are having trouble with youtube while using firefox and I've tried a few things:
- uninstalling and reinstalling flash and java
- starting Firefox in safe mode
- using different antivirus software
- reinstalling Firefox
I read that this might be a problem caused by the whole Google being all buddy-buddy with Adobe thing, but I'm skeptical.
So, is there any way to get YouTube to work properly?

FF 30.0 hangs for a few seconds when opening new window

It did not start with 30.0 but I upgraded in the hope that it would solve the situation.
Every time I open a new window FF hangs for a few seconds. It does not hang opening a new tab!
I tried the steps described in the above topic but they did not work.
if I open the console and type
gSnippetsMap.clear()
the result is
undefined.
If I type
localStorage['snippets-last-update'] = 0
the result is
[Exception... "Component is not available" nsresult: "0x80040111 (NS_ERROR_NOT_AVAILABLE)" location: "JS frame :: debugger eval code :: <TOP_LEVEL> :: line 1" data: no]
There is no difference if I use "Show a blank page" or "Show my home page" where home page is set to "about:blank" for "When Firefox starts".
BTW, I am using Windows 8.1

Short addition:
After the new window is opened I can type a few characters (max 5) into the searchbar. Only from then the hang begins.

Im using firefox 3.6.18 and when i open website it hangs for a few seconds...

im surfing at myanimelist.net and when i loads the pages, it hangs for a few seconds and stop... then hangs again (not responding).. i disable all the plugins but it still the same.. and ive deleted .dat files of plugins suggested by troubleshoot but the same problem still persist... please fix this bug thanks..

The speed of image searching isn't a problem for me. The trouble is, the automatic zoom function is lightning fast and I find it disturbing to the point that it makes me feel very ill.
I very much want a way of suppressing it.

Photoshop CC 2014 hangs for nearly 15 seconds when using Layer Group Layers or Layer Palette Group from Layers commands.

Photoshop hangs for nearly 15 seconds when using Layer > Group Layers or Layer Palette > Group from Layers commands. NOT on creating new group and creating layers and drag-n-dropping layers into group manually in Layer Palette. Got a UI design file with nearly 800 layers and lot of groups. This doesn't occur in smaller files. Using OS X Mavericks, Photoshop CC 2014.2.2, Mid 2014 15-inch Retina Macbook Pro.
I understand that the solution would be just to cut the file into smaller files and design each UI view in a separate file but that would be painful. And it does not seem to be a very hard task to just group layers.

Does the document also have a lot of layer comps?
And can you post that document or send me a copy of it so we can see exactly why it is hanging?

After Effects CS6 hangs for about 20 seconds every few minutes or so.

I'm using AE CS6 and every few minutes (anywhere from 5 to 20) it'll just hang for about 20 seconds. The spinning Windows 7 wheel pops up, then when I click AE it goes transparent white and "not responding" pops up in the title bar. I wait about 20 seconds and everything returns to normal. I can't figure out WHAT could be causing this as there's no log or error to really check.
32 gigs of RAM on a Xeon E3 v2 Ivy Bridge chip. 660 Ti Nvidia card. Windows 7 Pro.
It's such a weird vague problem, that I don't know how to troubleshoot it. Multiprocessing of frames is turned off. 24 gigs allocated to AE.

Figured it out, at least so far. I upped the amount of GPU RAM it was allowing AE to use. I swear I did this before, but apparently didn't. So now..no hangs. I'm sure at some point I'll work on a hefty enough project to bottleneck the GPU, but at least I'm good for now.

Firefox 3.6.15 keeps stuttering or hanging for a few seconds constantly but its only firefox and nothing else on the computer

I have been using firefox 3.6.15 with no problems since it came out. But just recently it has started to hang or freeze for a few seconds about every 10 seconds. Everything else on the computer still works nothing else is frozen just Firefox. I haven't added anything new to firefox or installed any programs. Adblock Plus and Stumbleupon are the two addons I use.

I figured out how to fix the flashing yellow screen problem that I've been having on my MBP! Yessssss!!!

I followed the instructions on this page and here's what I did:
Resetting NVRAM / PRAM
Shut down your Mac.
Locate the following keys on the keyboard: Command (⌘), Option, P, and R. You will need to hold these keys down simultaneously in step 4.
Turn on the computer.
Press and hold the Command-Option-P-R keys before the gray screen appears.
Hold the keys down until the computer restarts and you hear the startup sound for the second time.
Release the keys.
I went through the 6 steps above twice, just to make sure I got rid of whatever stuff was holding up my bootup process. Since I did that, my MBP boots up just like normal. No flashing yellow screen anymore!!

Ver 10.0.1. Entire screen blacks out for a few seconds when scrolling.

I recently updated to Reader X 10.0.1. Now when I scroll through a large document my entire screen blacks out for a few seconds. So far it has recovered. I get an error message saying that the NVidia nView driver (ver. 135.50) has stopped responding. I am running Windows 7 Pro on an HP Laptop, feeding to a large Samsung monitor. Never happened prior to this update. Any fixes/ideas?

Safari 5.1.7 Bookmarks - adding or changing hangs for a few seconds

Hello all -
Safari 5.1.7 - osx 10.7.4 - MBA
Safari hangs when adding a bookmark or deleting/changing order/moving to new folders etc.
Hangs for about 5 seconds and then completes the task.
It will do the first change just fine, then any further bookmarks adds/changes will hang the browser.
I've tried all the suggested steps, clear cache, reset etc.
Problem comes right back.
Suggestions?

T410 hangs for a few seconds

My T410 hangs for ~2 seconds at random intervals from 3 minutes to 30 minutes.
Cursor freezes whether using wired or wireless mouse.
Any ideas of where to start my problem solving?

I would suspect power manager, cpu throttling. Does it happen when using "maximum performance"? Does it happen more often when on battery power?
There are alot of things which cause cause a momentary pause, a poor behaving device driver, an application which is taking too much processor time at too high a priority (again usually device drivers). If this happens with any predictable frequency it may be useful to have your task manager loaded and see what applications/services are taking system time up.

Safari always freezes screen for a few seconds when i try to play a video on youtube.

first: im german and i got a normal knowledge of english, so please be fair
the problem is, when i visit youtube and click a video, its loading and freeze a few seconds (sound doesn't freeze).
html5 is off
cookies, history delete
flash player (newest)
didn't work and i don't want to switch the browser (videos on chrome working)
im a new mac-user since 4 days

Flash is required for YouTube content.
Open System Preferences > Flash Player then select the Advanced tab.
Click Delete All under Browsing Data and Settings
Not empty the Safari cache.
From your Safari menu bar click Safari > Preferences then select the Advanced tab.
Select: Show Develop menu in menu bar
Now click Develop from the menu bar. From the drop down menu click Empty Caches.
Now try a video.

Firefox 4 randomly hangs for a few seconds

When im browsing, Firefox 4 randomly hangs for ~10 seconds saying its "Not Responding", then it returns to normal.
I dont seem to see a pattern on when it hangs, sometimes its when i open new pages, sometimes im just scrolling, sometimes i'm not doing anything...
It didnt seem to happen before i updated to FFx 4
My best guess is it happens when its trying to "Sync"?
It's not that bad, but it gets annoying after a while.

It is also possible that Firefox is doing maintenance to places.sqlite (bookmarks and history). If you keep a large history or have a lot of bookmarks then you can check that out as well. Also make sure that security (anti-virus) software isn't blocking access to files in the [http://kb.mozillazine.org/Profile_folder_-_Firefox Firefox Profile Folder].
Create a new profile as a test to check if your current profile is causing the problems.

There may be extensions and plugins installed by default in a new profile, so check that in "Tools > Add-ons > Extensions & Plugins"

Songs pausing for a few seconds when using speaker docking system

Got a Logitech AudioStation speaker docking system. Every 3 or 4 songs played seems to pause for up to 5 seconds then continues playing normally. The pause icon doesn't appear on the ipod, just the play icon. The countdown timer pauses though. Also skipping songs with remote control a problem. Sometimes skips two with one press. Also takes a few seconds to 'think' between songs. ipod also defaults to shuffle album every time it's docked. Anyone else experienced these problems? Is it docking system or ipod?

Why does laptop stop the audio for a few seconds when I play a video then resume for the video?

Hi I have a HP Pavilion G6 2288-ca with amd a10 vision processor. So I was playing some videos from youtube and the audio stoped and resumed a few seconds after.
