InDesign CS6 trial download: "Installer failed to initialize"

Hi, I have successfully downloaded Adobe InDesign CS6, using the Download Manager Software. When I click on 'Install", a window appears with a progress bar ("Adobe Installer"), and the bar gets about 2/3 through, then I get an error message saying "We've encountered the following issues. Installer failed to initialize. Please download Adobe Support Advisor to detect the problem." Then a link to download Adobe Support Advisor, or button to Quit.
So, I downloaded and ran Adobe Support Advisor. After initializing, the software tells me "no issues detected."
- My machine meets the system reqs for InDesign CS6
- Obviously I have tried restarting my machine and running all these steps again. Still getting the error.

Okay, Mylenium, here are my system specs:
Mac os x version 10.6.8, 4gigs memory, 2.3GHz Intel Core i7 Processor, 470 Gigs of available hard drive space.
I have run all of Apple's software updates up to today, and I have also run cleanup and Disk Utility repairs just in case these are a factor. Still getting the error message with the "Failure to initialize install."
Also: I have installed on my machine InDesign, Photoshop, Flash, Illustrator, Dreamweaver CS5.
Can you help me?

indicates the summary log file should exist in the directory
/Library/Logs/Adobe/Installers/
No CS6 log file exists in this directory.In a terminal window, doing ls
-l /Library/Logs/Adobe/Installers/ lists no log file associated with CS6.
Then I took a look at the file, ~/Library/Logs/PDApp.log which I attach.
There is a FATAL error:
Adobe Application Manager executable does not exist at the location:
/Users/William/Applications/Adobe/OOBE/PDApp//core/PDApp.app/Contents/MacOS/PDApp
The directory /Users/William/Applications exists but there is nothing in
it.
What do you recommend doing?

Adobe Indesign CS5.5 Disc - Installer failed to initialize

I have been trying unsuccessfully to install my Adobe Indesign cs5.5 disc for the first time into my Dell Latitude E6400 laptop (Windows vista, intel core2 /duo - I meet all the system requirements). I keep getting the message "Installer failed to initialize. Please contact Adobe support."
I followed the indesign cs5 help suggestions at adobe.com and ran the Adobe Cs5 cleaner tool. This did not help. I also turned off my anti-virus to be sure.
Should I instead download the program from the internet and then enter my serial code? Is this my only option? Could you please give me some other suggestions. Your help is greatly appreciated.

I ran Adobe Support Adivsor toll, and the response was "Inspection could not identify any issues." I did not see any log files.
Just to confirm, you went to %APPDATA%\Local\Temp and found that there were a lot of files there, but there was not one called PDApp.log? Are you sure you have the right path?
If that's so, then the installer is failing really early. I suppose it's silly, but have you tried rebooting?
I find it doubtful that uninstalling Acrobat or Reader would help. Though I am slightly curious whether their Uninstallers launch. (For most Adobe products, the Uninstaller and the Installer are very similar, and they both do a bunch of checks and then pop up a window. For uninstallers, there is a chance to confirm before uninstalling. It would be interesting to know if the uninstallers fail to start the same way your InDesign installer has failed. But Acrobat is the product Least Like all the others. It's uninstaller might not behave this way, I'm not sure).
Still, we are getting down to weird or obscure problems. So it may be time to try solutions that are abnormal.
So, lacking anything better to do, assuming you have quadruple-checked for the above log file, why don't you go with your initial idea and try downloading the trial installer. And if it still doesn't work, sure, try uninstalling Acrobat first.

Indesign CS6 trial version installation failling

I'm trying to install a trial version of Adobe Indesign CS6 on a (2009) Mac mini 2.26 Ghz Core 2 Duo with 4Gb Ram. The internal hard drive still has 18Gb free space that should be enough to install just indesign. I tried several times (after reboot, rebuild permissions, etc.), even in a new (admin) user that I created just to try the indesign installation, same error. Is that the entire log? I suspect not. Please post the entire log on Pastebin.com and put a link here.
I'm not a Mac person, so my troubleshooting tips here will be pretty basic. The whole log may help some of our other regulars to identify where the problem is.
I'd run the cleanup tool (CS Cleaner Tool for installation problems | CCM, CS6, CS5.5, CS5, CS4, CS3) ro remove any traces of the failed attempts, then reboot to a minimal system -- not sure what it's called on Macs these days -- no extraneous extensions, but a step above safe mode, I think -- and try the installer again.

Photoshop CS6 trial - installer failed to initialize

I've recently tried to download the Photoshop CS6 Extended trial software on my Windows 7 laptop, and after extraction I get a message saying:
"Installer failed to initialize. Please download Adobe Support Advisor to detect the problem."
Which I did, but no errors were found. So what do I do??

When clicking InDesign CS6 exec setup, it stalls and says "Installer failed to initialize.

Atter downloading and unzipping InDesign CS6, When I get as far as clicking the exec setup, it stalls and says “Installer failed to initialize. Then it says that theremay be a missing file.

Photoshop CS6 Trial "Installer Failed To Initialize" on Vista. Please help I have read other posts!

I've read through countless posts on different sites and still can't find a fix to this. I've been having a hard time trying to figure out what advice actually applies to me. After extracting all the files and I run the setup I get about 75% through before I get the Installer failed to initialize message. After looking at the PDapp data It seems clear what the problem is, but I have no idea how to fix it. The fatal/error messages are as follows:

first thing to do is to re-download ps cs6 in case your dl was corrupted.
if you have no other cs6 programs installed, run the cleaner before trying to re-install: http://www.adobe.com/support/contact/cscleanertool.html

That LOOKS like you are trying to install to the D drive instead of the default C drive... true?
What happens if you install to the default C drive?
What happens if you right click the installer and select "Run as Administrator" from the option list?

Hi there Mylenium, is there any way you can help me? My cs6 is doing all kinds weird things lately. The liquifying too stopped working completely, when I try to work with the actions, it starts flickering and changing opacity in color by itself. It starts flickering and is completely out of whack! I tried uninstalling and reinstalling and still no luck. I tried getting in touch with adobe and no luck with that neither! Is there anyway you might be able to help?

After downloading the Mac version of Photoshop CS6 using Download Assistant, I attempted to install it as a trial. When I launch the Photoshop CS6 install app, it comes back with "We've encountered the following issues -- installer failed to initialize." It suggested Adobe Support Advisor be downloaded to detect the problem. I downloaded and ran that. It comes back with "Inspection could not identify any issues. At first download the Adobe applciation manager manually from the locations:
Mac: http://www.adobe.com/support/downloads/thankyou.jsp?ftpID=4774&fileID=4438
Windows: http://www.adobe.com/support/downloads/thankyou.jsp?ftpID=4773&fileID=4437
Later If you are still facing issue. Rename Media_db, pdb and OOBE folder.
The path for the above files will be:
1: OOBE
Windows: C>Program files or Program files(x86)>Common files>Adobe>OOBE and rename the OOBE folder to like (OOBEold).
Mac OS X : Macintosh HD>Library>Applciation support>Adobe>OOBE .
Note: The library will be hidden in Mac OS X version 10.7 and later you can access the hidden library ie the root library by In the Finder, choose Go > Go To Folder.
In the Go To Folder dialog, type ~/Library and click Go to access the hidden library.

After renaming OOBE, Media_db, pdb files run the Application manager which was downloaded and if the issue still persists then:
Create a new Administartor account and the restart the computer and log in back to the created new admin account , log in to CCm account and then try it will work.

Windows 7 crashed after Creative Suite 6 Design and Web Premium completed an update. The only Windows restore point that worked was pre-installation of CS6 software. Now when trying to reinstall I get the 'installer failed to initialize' message. Have tried using the CC Cleaner Tool but nothing works? Any solution please. Was new computer and newly purchased CS6 software downloaded 2 days prior to the upgrade.

Adobe Premiere and After Effects CS6 installer failed to initialize on Mac Book Air

Hi everybody,
I'm trying to install Adobe Premiere and After Effects CS6 for at least a month now.
I have downloaded the .dmg file at the Adobe Website and it starts to initializing the installer, then a error show up:
"The installer could not initialize. Download the Adobe Support Advisor."
There is no Adobe Support Advisor when I clicked on the link. "The Adobe Support Advisor has been discontinued" (http://www.adobe.com/support/loganalyzer/)
I've tried this many times, but every time being a failure.
