Info on whether to use ext. Netegrity tool or the default provided by SAP

Hi,
Can anyone give me some info. as to which would be better or which would SAP recommend as Best Practice - whether to use external <b>Netegrity tool for Authentication & Security</b> or the default provided by SAP Web AS.

Firstly, I completely agree with Nicks comments and in any case the original question was Best Practice and desgin phase not technical "how to" implemenation.

Actually, overall the decisions are normally made for you as a basic project requirement eg. Constraint: Users need to access Portal from a web link in intranet site secured by Netegrity without reauthentication. So as mentioned above its usually a pure SSO constraint. Thereafter it is more of 'How best' and what are the technical limitations. Otherwise there is no real need to make life more difficult. Could you describe why you are having to make this feasability study?
Since Netegrity is an external component, Performance will never be a reason to include Netegrity as it only adds complexity. The performance impact will depend on agent configuration and policies and size of Netegrity infrastructure etc. This needs to be evaluated with the Netegrity team based on the estimated number of concurrent users/requests etc. Concrete info will not be possible unless you do a load test with / without Netegrity and compare results.
Security aspects have to be looked at across the whole spectrum based on the local environment and requirements. Netegrity is complementary to WAS security but can actually reduce security eg. If basic header authentication is configured without additional checks. It also may or may not be required to cover requests to back end systems.
Take a look at the SAP security guide.
If you are still unsure of how best to proceed you may need to get specialist assistance as I doubt someone will be able/willing to provide the detail you require without some kind of intervention.

It's found in the Settings app:
Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars > Mail > Default Account

I'm wondering if you can use a formula field as the default value of a parameter. I have an date parameter that is being pulled from a stored procedure. When I run the report, it defaults to the current date and time. I would like it to default to he current date and have the time be 00:00:00

Unfortunately, you cannot use a formula field as the default value of the parameter.
And, to get rid of the current time and show 00:00:00, all you need to do is Edit the parameter and set the 'Default Value' to 00:00:00. This will take care of the time portion, however the date portion would be set to the year 1899 and not the current date.

You can now use CSS styles to set the default text format for TextView. It no longer has any formatting properties. It supports the entire set of Gumbo text format styles.
SkinnableComponent and Group now also support all these styles. However, skins such as ButtonSkin, TextInputSkin, and TextAreaSkin continue for now to specify instance styles on their TextBox, TextGraphic, and TextView, in order to give them a Gumbo look rather than a Halo look. So if you try setting, for example, the fontSize on the Application, it doesn't yet affect the text format of a Button, TextInput, TextArea, etc. unless you remove the instance style in the skin.

Nevermind guys - I did it using the 'rb_on.selected' command on the "on" radio button if the .txt file variable was "on", else the "off" radio button is selected.

If the value of the Action is START then the existing communication channel should be stopped and restarted again .
If the value of the Action is STOP then the stop action should be performed.
For this I have implemented two mappings and condition is being given in Interface determination
so as to have the splitting of messages when the start action is performed.
Can anyone suggest me how to implement this by using a single mapping or this could be achieved only through BPM?

My requirement is ,I need to merge two mappings into one mapping without using BPM.
My File to File scenario communication channel is controlled externally by using Proxy-to-Http scenario.
For this I have used two mappings say when the value for the action is START then the File receiver communication channel should be stopped(which is already polling) and again the Action START should passed to the Receiver File Channel to start again using the proxy-http scenario.
Now I need to merge the two mappings into a single mapping so as to perform the above stated flow without using BPM.

The iPhone doesn't like certain types of phone field names!
When you create a new contact with the Mac Address Book, you can choose mobile, iPhone, home, work, main, home fax, work fax, pager, and other. If, for example, your source data has a contact with a "main" phone number, that number doesn't sync at all.
The data ONLY moves from my Mac to my iPhone IF I use the default field names.

I can't get my PC to use Illustrator CC (2014) as the default program to open .ait or .eps files.

OK I have it figured out! I was using google mail. For what ever reason the imac/pc safari using google would not display the PDF in the email even though the ipad/iphone did. I tried a different mail system through work (not google mail) and it EVERYTHING works GREAT!!!!! Wow, a lot of wasted time over something that was actually working.

Very simple question, how do you configure windows 8.1 to use a SD card / external drive as the default install location for software applications? Primarily interested in apps installed from the windows store. This should be available in the settings

The registry method does not work with 8.1. I found this out the hard way. Doing it on 8.1 will leave you reinstalling the OS if you didn't do a SRP beforehand.

Using Logger ,how to disable the default date recording?

I m using Logger class of java.util.logging package to maintain logs for the application. By default, it writes date and the package path for every log statement.But, I dont want it. I want to simply record the error and information statements.
Is there any way to switch off the default recording of date and package path?

I build stand-alone exe's for customers, and would like to know if in the "Build Distribution Kit" dialog there is an option for using a non-standard icon? If not, what else will work...? Thanks.

Create your ICON.
3. Save your icon by,"FILE" "SAVE AS"
xxxxxx.ico. I suggest you save the

4. Now build a stand alone executable.
CVI will ask for "name" and "path"
of the icon.
5. By dragging the .exe to your desktop
your icon will follow.
6. When you create a distribution kit the
icon will be placed into the kit.
7. After the customer installs the kit
the icon will show up in a small window
they can drag the icon to the disk top
or drag the .exe to the disk top at a
later time.

U can create a more than one whse. Make sure before creating the New whse whether the Tick mark is there r not in General settings in Admin-GS-Inventory-Auto add all whse to new items.
Then in sales order go to the whse column and change the whse which u want....

I am trying to validate XML documents against an xsd schema which has within it
the xs:all element to indicate that certain elements should be present but the
order in which they appear is not important. I have found that when I try to parse
a document against this schema using the SAXParser that is provided with Weblogic
the xs:all element seems not to be supported.
Has anybody else experienced this?
I have tried the same code but using a different SAX Parser (Apache provided)
and this no longer seems to be a problem.
Any advice would be appreciated.

Why the tree show different while i use XML and XMLList as the data provider
