Infopackage in process chain is not scheduling

Hi All
One of infopackage in process chain is not scheduling and showing error message like "<b>Attributes are not yet maintained
Entire chain now has status 'R'</b>
what do we mean about this
can anyone will let me know in detail and how to correct this?

Hi balaji,
how big is your process chain ? I got a similar problem when I build a metachain with a lot of processes in the chain (more than 60). In this case, the error message is deceiving. If your process chain has similar numbers of processes, check OSS 942804 (Jobcount handling).

We upgrade a system in support package 13 (we are in veresion 7) and since this upgrade i can not add an infopackage in process chains.
When i try to insert an "execute infopackage" process, i click on the list of infopackage available and the systems says :
No data selected
Of course i have info^package available.

We had the same problem ( BI 7.0 - SP 13 ) but was resolved after having applied OSS note 1062704.
Just apply that note - it should solve it.

Process chain is not getting scheduled

Process chain is not getting shceduled , i have saved , checked and wanted to activate but its going to a loop and its not getting activated . please suggest some solution

Can you check that your user has the necessary authorizations to schedule a job? Can you also check if there
is an error message generated in sm21 or dump in st22? You say as well that the scheduling is looping, in sm50 what
table/statement is the process looping over? Can you also let us know your BW release and support package level.

Logical system Infopackage in process chain

Dear All,
I want to schedule a logical system delta infopackage in process chain I have input this package in chain but while activating it gives error "InfoPackage ZPAK_44MTIRL52E5IJXMQVL1BXFCWI is generated; NOT able to be used as loading variant" can any body help me how to resolve this issue.

Hi,
I think this package is created automatically while selecting update data into data targets from the context menu of the ods. This kind of packages cannot be used in chains. Goto rsa1->infosources. Select your 8<odsname> infosource and create a delta package manually. Put that package into the chain. That should work.

Infopackage in process chain taking long time to run

HI Experts,
One of the element (Infopackage) in process chain(Daily process chain) is taking much longer time(6 hr and still runing) as generally it takes 15-20 mins to complete and the status is in yellow and still running in process monitor without giving any clear picture of error. Manually we are making the staus red and we are updating from PSA and this time it is getting completed in time as specified.

For last one week we are facing same issue and i would like to mention that we don't have access to SM37,SM12 to look the logs
and any locks.
without this i need to investigate what is the root cause for the same.

Adding infopackage in Process chain

Hi All,
         i am creating processing chain and i am trying to add a infopackage to that.
         but when i press F4 or small square box it is saying there are no infopackage but i have some infopackages created in Datasource.
      while i tried to add DTP it was successful but not able to add infopackages to process chain,
      the process chain is still unassigned is this any thing to deal with this.
      Please hlep me out and i have gone through the blogs in sdn for this but i was not able to figure it out.

Hi,
if you are displaying in tree format, then you may not be able to find the process chain.(
I do not know the reason, but i had the same issue in past, as i remember. but i solved it)
Please switch to network display in process chain and try again.
In process chain, go to infosource and with crtrl+f searchh the technical name of the infopackage.

Process chain is not deleting overlapping requests

Hi all,
I did all the steps like I described on my earlier posts to delete the overlapping request from infopackage through process chain. I tested it in development and it works fine with any condition, I mean automation through event, date and after seven days. When it comes to production it is not giving me the same result. So when I checked the infopackage of production I saw a routine added in the data selection of infopackage to load two days old data in the routine. We do not have that added in the development. Now if this is causing issue, can I add a step in the routine to delete previous request after loading file in the data selection.

Hi aanjaneya,
If you want to select and delete only the previous request of previous day, go to the infopackage and in data target tab there is option for each data target for setting the automatic deletion.
If you select it, you will get a window which has the option to delete the request. Select all the conditions and same or more comprehensive check box and also check the request date to yesterday and today option.
This will delete the request loaded yesterday and also with same selection from same source.

One Process Chain but different schedule.

I have this issue. I need to run one process chain in different schedule. For example:
From days 28 to 5 of each month I need to run every hour.
From days 6 to 27 of each month I need to run every four hour.
I have BW 3.5
Do you have any idea How I could do that?.

maintain variant>change selections>after at operation mode if you further check the double arrow button it will leads you to workday/time screen
check if it works for you coz' it has following option"Do not execute before"

Process chain 3 times schedule a day

Hi,
1)You can make the process chain to be trigered by an event.
You create user events in SM62. In SM62, next to "User even names", click on Maintain and press Enter. Click on the Create icon to create a new event (let's call it ZEVENT).
Next, in your process chain, change the Start variant to be scheduled "After event", and put in ZEVENT for the event name. Also, click on the "Periodic job" at the bottom. This will automatically reschedule the jobs for the process chain after it executes.
Next, create an ABAP program (let's call it Z_EVENT_RAISE) to call the function module BP_EVENT_RAISE. You're code can look like this:

PARAMETERS: P_EVENT LIKE TBTCO-EVENTID.
CALL FUNCTION 'BP_EVENT_RAISE'
EXPORTING
EVENTID = P_EVENT.

This ABAP program will prompt for an event name, so you will need to create a variant (let's call it ZEVENT) which will save the value of the event name (also ZEVENT). You will need the variant name to be able to trigger the event in a batch job.
Now all you need is the batch job. Use tcode SM36 to create a batch job where you call the ABAP program (Z_EVENT_RAISE) using the variant (ZEVENT).
Note, SM64 only triggers an event manually.
and you can copy this job to schedule it three times a day.
2)In the Start process of your process chain, select Direct Scheduling and then click the Change Selections icon. This will bring you to the Start Time window where you can put in the Date/Time you want to start your process chain. At the bottom of this window, click on the Periodic job box and you will notice another icon way at the bottom called Period Values. Click this to determine what frequency the job should be rescheduled (ie. daily, weekly, etc.).
3)you can do this by right-clicking on the start process, selection "Maintain Variant", choose "Direct Scheduling". Next select "Change Selections", pick your date and time, set your period values and you're done.

1.From functional specification requirements,find out the datasources by using business content check(offline) or using Metadata repository(online), u need to have TREX installed in ur system.Do the GAP Analysis and note down the objects which are not in business content and create Z objects(Datasources,ODS or Infobjects,Cubes). Draw the bubble diagram and derrive ER diagram from it and finally do logical information model(cube model) and decide what u need in data flow.
2.You have a quick sizer in market place which can help you to decide the sizing of BI project.Take care of trade-off's between line item dimensions and normal dimension which have large impact on ur sizing.
3.There is no such default sizing,depends on ur reporting requirements whether u need detailed reporting or snap shot reporting.
4.There is no trade-off's between multiprovider and Cube regarding performance.From performance point of view we have to consider other factors such as aggregates,Indexing,Partitioning etc..
6.The Max number of Keyfields are 16 and data fields are 749.
7.Yes SID's are created for ODS when you check the flag for BEX Reporting.

Process Chain : 0PM_INIT_P01 - Not Shown in RSPC

Dear Friends
I have installed 0PM_INIT_P01 (Initialisation:MTTR / MTBR) Process chain.
It installed successfully.
But i could not able to see in RSPC.
Can anybody tell me why it is...?
Some where i found authorization object S_RS_PC is needed for my user id. Is it so...?
Than how i can map to my user id...?

Problem is, the installed process chain is not getting displayed in RSPC for further operations.
Before that, I have installed the Process Chain through business content (0PM_INIT_P01), and it got successfully installed. I had seen in SM37.
For testing purpose i have given the same name (0PM_INIT_P01) for another chain creation.
But system telling the name is already available.
My confusion, why it is not getting displayed in anywhere in RSPC.

You can create the IPG with the selction of all infopackages in RSA1-Modelling Area to automate those loads automatically. That means it will trigger only those IP's which have been pooled up in that IGP...
Where as Process chain is also a automated process where you can have different process types which can be used during the load and after the load has been done.. For example in ODS once after the data has been loaded if you want to activate the data then in PC youo can insert the process type for that, but in case of IGP it will only execute your IP.

Insert Execute infopackage on process chain maintenance

Hy, i have a serious problem: i can't insert a infopackage on process chain that i created on AWB.
When drag the insert "Execute infopackage process" on process chain and select the match code or F4 button to select an infopackage , receive this message:No data selected.So i can't insert infopackage in my process chain.

Hi,
Go to rspc. At top of left pane you can see a data target icon. Click on that. Select your data target. Check the infopackage ckeck box. Here you can select your infopackage.
Try this out.
