Information on JAVA BADI's

Hi Experts,
Sorry, if this is the wrong forum. I wasn't sure where to post this question.
I have a requirement which involves implementing a JAVA BADI in the IS-Media-AMC system. I am a pure ABAPer and have no clue as to how JAVA BADI can be implemented. Can someone throw me some light on how this can be done like what transaction/screen is to be used or if this needs extensive JAVA knowledge etc.
Any pointers in this regard would be highly appreciated.
Thanks in Advance,
Praveen

Once the JVM is started by a browser it is never stopped, until all browser windows are closed (and the browser process exits). The JVM is responsible for the loading and caching of jars. You need to clear the JVM's cache.
Typing 'x' in the Java2 plugin's console window will do this. I'm not sure how other JVMs work.

  • How to get cpu and memory information by Java?

I'm trying to write a java program to get the CPU and memory information and statistic of a desktop computer. Is it possible to capture this kind of information by Java, if yes, which classes are used?
    Thanks a lot.

You can get memory info about the VM and not about the OS.
These things are inherently OS-dependent. Chances are bad there is a (pure) Java solution for this.

  • How to get current file position information in JAVA ?

    Hello,
I would like to know if someone knows how to get and set current file position information in JAVA ?
In C I use fgetpos and fsetpos.
    Thanks

Instead of using a standard java.io.File, use java.io.RandomAccessFile
This is a great class - you can get the file pointer (getFilePointer()), and set it (seek(long pos) )
that will do all you need I presume - works the same a file handle in C.

  • Java BAdI implementation for Customer specific Spell check

In IS-M/AMC, I am working on implementation of a Java BAdI, namely ICustSpellCheck, which enables Customer Specific Spell check instead of the standard MS-Word spell check. Could someone provide pointers on the java code that goes into different methods of this class?

    Hi Dharmendra,
Check if this is your case..
    Note
This Business Add-In is not suitable for checking individual field content in an installed base, or installed base component: To do this, see Business Add-In: Additional Checks When Modifying Installed Base Headers and Business Add-In: Additional Checks When Modifying Components.

  • Need Information About Java Platform Overview For Manager (WJTB-310)

Hi, My name is Jeffry. I need information about Java Platform Overview For Manager (WJTB-310).
I need Information about table of contents, how long it takes to study that training (approximately), how many chapters are in that training, minimum Internet connection speed to access that training, and everything you know about WJTB-310.
Is there a synchronized audio in WJTB-310 ?
Is there a video streaming in WJTB-310 ?
    Can I receive a certificate for any web-based training ? especially in WJTB-310 ?
Is there a programming language material in WJTB-310 or just an overview ?
Sorry for asking to many question
    Thanks

I thought I'd give you a response even if I can't answer your question completely. (I think we ought to start a separate thread entitled "How do you get any replies on this forum???") Here is what I have been forced to do. I introduced some JavaScript on the web page that contains the applet I want to be run. The sole purpose of the JavaScript is to detect which platform the client is on. If it's not MacIntosh, then I have JavaScript write the <object><embed> tag used by the Java plug-in. It it is MachIntosh, then I have JavaScript write the regular <applet> tag and let the Mac browsers do as best they can. With mixed and disappointing results. Netscape 6.2 crashes with a lot of applets. IE 5 brings up the applet okay but certain Swing components aren't displaying properly. The MacIntosh I've been testing on is version 9.1. I'm trying OS X tomorrow.
Why don't you send a reply to my query under the Java Plug-in Forum--from aronsz, dated 06/11/02--if you have some more info by now. I sure would appreciate it.

  • Howto get information about Java Stored Procedures programmaticly

    Hi all,
using the DatabaseMetaData object it is easily possible to get information about database objects like tables, columns or even plsql stored procedures.
But is there a way to get information about Java Stored Procedures which are published in packages ? Is it possible here to use a DatabaseMetaData object or is there any other solution ?
    TIA,
    Chris

What sort of information do you want to know about the Java stored procedures?
Would the views USER_SOURCE or USER_OBJECTS contain the information you need?

I've been using JTidy for HTML syntax checking. It's a java port of Html Tidy, and it works pretty good. The documentation is pretty sparse, but I think they're intent was to have people refer to the HTML Tidy documentation anyway (JTidy mimics HTML tidy even down to the bugs). Also, it doesn't look like there's been much upkeep activity but....it's free. anyway, here's the link:
    http://sourceforge.net/projects/jtidy
    good luck.

  • CRM - Pricing User Exit in Java - BADI CRM_COND_COM_BADI

    Hi All
I have to convert some user-exit from Abap to Java in order to work in CRM Pricing Scenario (I use VMC technology based on Web AS 7.00).
In the manual attached to note 809820 (New userexit concept for pricing)
I find this chapter but I don't understand how to work with BADI <b>CRM_COND_COM_BADI.</b>
<b>My objective is to create Java user-exit using Custom Tables and Fileds.</b>
    <b>Passing additional information to pricing</b>
To summarize, if the information used in a requirement is not depending on the current calculation result, then the information can be passed to the pricing engine. This is the best way to avoid e.g. DB or JCo calls from the user exits.
Nearly all application scenarios using the pricing engine provide a way of filling additional attributes.
    1. Create a field catalogue entry for the additional attribute
    2. Program the filling of that attribute value
The application calling the pricing engine and the way it is allowing customer code to fill or influence attributes is not part of this document. Here is only a short list of documentation to start with (also various notes exist):
    Application Description
    CRM Online Order Processing
    Implement BADI CRM_COND_COM_BADI. Note 850077
Mobile Solutions Implement VBA user exit methods on SPCDOCHANDLER or SPCITEMHANDLER.Note 677314 and Note 934216
    Best regards

    Hi davide,
The BADI CRM_COND_COM_BADI is used for filling the pricing communication structure.
If you have added any field at header level of the field catelog that will available in the changing parameter of the method HEADER_COMMUNICATION_STRUCTURE.
If you have added any field at item level of the field catelog that will available in the changing parameter of the method ITEM_COMMUNICATION_STRUCTURE.
Additional fields added at catelog can be filled with the values using this BADI.
    Thanks & Regards,
    Raghuram. K.R.

  • Handling Billing Information using Java - Insecure??

Our firm is currently developing an e-commerce building site using java. An issue has propped up while trying to design how thw site should handle payments . The developers are adamant that due to the ease with which class files can be decompiled , we shouldnt let the user enter his payment info( like credit card no: ) on our site , rather forward to a secure gateway site. But the client is of the view that doing this will break the flow of the process and points out that many sites do make usre enter info on their site . I'm sure you must know more on this than i do , is it safe to let the user enter the info on our site and let we pass them to the provider ?

Ther are plenty of secure sites that are backed by Java. You need to make sure that the information that needs to be secured is encrypted before transmission. You'd do this by using HTTPS rather than HTTP. This has nothing to do with what language you're using on the back end. If you're using an applet on the client side, it should still be possible to use HTTPS.
Typically in a web app like this, the Java is all on the server side, and the end user can never see it. Even if it is an applet, so the Java does come to the client browser, the CC info will not be inside the source code, and seeing the source will not give a bad guy the ability to intercept CC numbers, unless your developers are idiots and use a homegrown, non-keyed encryption algorithm whose security relies on not knowing the algorithm, or embed a database connection URL and password in the applet code.
Seriously--I would be very worried about your developers' qualifications.

  • Solution Manager information for Java stack systems

    Hi,
Could someone please help with the setup of Solution Manager, and how to connect to the backend of a Java stack system. For our ERP systems this is working via RFC, but I was hoping to get more information on the procedure for java. I can specify manually via SMSY, but I am sure there must be a setup that can pull the information for the system itself. Could anyone shed some light on this if possible please.
    Regards,
    Chris

    Dear Chris,
ABAP Stacks use RFC as you know for inter system communications.
Java stack systems use Solution Manager Diagnostics.
You will need to run Solman_Setup > Managed System Configuration
First you should visit the link http://service.sap.com/diagnostics
There you will see a link to the media library, and there you will find complete documentation.
Hope you find this information Helpful.
    Regards,
    Paul

  • System Information In Java

    Hello,
Can We Get System Information Like Motherboard,CPU,RAM,HardDisk etc.... IN JAVA???
    Thank-You

On windows you can run a VB script which obtains this information.
On UNIX you can read files in the /proc and run df to get the disk sizes.
It is fairly rare that you need to obtain this information and if you do there are plenty of free and commercial products which do this already, so there is little point writing your own.

  • How to set proxy information in JAVA.NIO framework MINA or Netty?

    Hi all,
THERE IS NO PROXY SUPPORT VIA JAVA.NIO.
How to use MINA or Netty, other framework support proxy?
    Thanks in advance!

The forum is focus on questionNo. The forum is provided by Sun and latterly Oracle to talk about core Java programming: in this case the Java networking APIs. Questions about 3rd party products should be directed to the people who supply them. And asking questions in places where the relevant expertise isn't concentrated is not a rational strategy.
I think you really need patience as a professional expert.Expert, yes. Professional? Is somebody paying me to post here?
And don't talk to me about patience. You have already completely exhausted any patience I may ever have had by repeating a question five times after I had already answered it. Judging by the below you are now in the process of repeating that process.
The information is shared by anybody.Correct, including me, and including the information that there are better places to ask than here about 3rd party products.
Besides, I think I submitted right question on right place. Then once again you are proving yourself incompetent, as I have already told you that it isn't the right place.

  • I am new here (want to know some informations regarding java

    Hi all
I am a student of information technology in Italy and unfortunatly I dont understand very well my professor of java.I want to know how I can insert the images in a Jtable ? and it would be better if someone could guide me providing source code. thanks
    cheers

Yes, you can. What you do with a JTable is to produce a class implementing TableModel which returns a value for each cell, and that value can be a wide variety of object types including Image type.
All the values in a column should have the same class, and the TableModel needs to supply that class.

  • How to read domain information in java

I need a java code implemented as follows.
When the java code runs in a particular machine, the domain which this machine belongs needs to be read.
The domain information can be easily retrieved using the wmi. But how java can implement it?
    Thanks in advance.

WMI stands for Windows Management Instrumentation (WMI). We can view or manipulate any information made available through WMI (including the domain information) through vbscript. In order to retrieve the informationthrough wmi, the vbscript needs to be launched in the java.
Do we have a java's native way to retrieve domain from windows machine?
