[INS-08109] Unexpected error occurred 'InstallOptionsUI'.

Hello.
I have installed Oracle Clusterware 10.2.0.3 and I tried to upgrade to Grid Infraestructure 11.2.0.2. The plataform is solaris 10 in a sparc.
When I run the installer I have a error and I cannot continue the install, I have a case open in metalink but I have no answer yet.
This is the message and I hope you can help with that.

I installed the database software successfully, but the grid install fails with this error.
Has Oracle come back to you yet?
OK I found my problem.
The install log file (found under INVENTORY_LOCATION/logs) pointed me to a missing parameter in my responseFile.
In my case that was
oracle.install.option=
which I changed to
oracle.install.option=CRS_SWONLY

Actually whenever i ask a question on OTN and Sybrand replied over the same every time instead of giving solution or advice he always try to insult other. I know that he is very senior to me and i am here posting query not to waste important time of anyone but to get the solution. Yes i forgot to update the i goggled and applied the recommendation before posting my query here. But this is not the correct way to advice anyone. Infact he also cross out this level where i am. If you think i hurt sentiments of anyone i feel sorry for that. But this is not the right way to advice in fact you all are seniors and we are coming here to learn from you guy's. OTN is not private property of anyone.
One thing more to say like you advice me calmly it's better to understand me how to do things accordingly now i will do that. Thanks again for your help and i will take care of all these things in future.

I tried one of the blog that states that similar problem occurs when clusterware is not up. First i check whether clusterware is up or not i found that it is up. But still i restarted it and try the installation again but getting the similar problem again.
In one blog it is mentioned that due to listener misconfiguration the problem occurs. I crosschecked listeners are configured from grid home.
So applied both the sol which i get by typing the same error which i mentioned above but not successful to get the solution.
In some website it is suggested that try to contact Oracle Support for the same.
Ok the problem is sorted out,I do a fresh installation of OS, Clusterware and DB, now i am not facing the same problem. I think the problem is related to group permission. Now this time i mention all the details what i do and what is the result i think now its better to understand.

If you click yes it goes back to where to started and the same error would occurs again if you try again. If you click no it will just exit the installer.

Have done alot of installs over time, but this error has me stymied. Here are the givens:
2-node Linux RHEL 5 OS
Will ASM over fiber (using ASMLib)
Attempting to install Oracle 11gR2 (11.2.0.3.0)
SSH is working and runcluvfy gives no errors on wither nodes.
When running through the installer, I am on the "specify Installation Location" menu.
I input Oracle Base: /apps/oracle
I input Software Location: /apps/grid/product/11.2.0/grid_1
I hit NEXT and afeter a short time, I get the following error:

No further details are given.

I realize I can open an SR in MOS, but was hping that maybe someone in this forum had encountered this error previosly and might have some sugestions or a solution that worked for them. The only same error code in MOS relates to to:
Unexptected error occurred while loading the view 'GridPlugPlayInfoUI' associated to state 'GridPlugPlayInfoUI', but this has a fix in /etc/hosts, but is NOT the same error I am getting.

/etc/hosts file was ok as-is.
Here was the underlying problem that has now been fixed:
We had three user goups associated with user Oracle. They were oinstall, dba, and oper
In /etc/groups, "oper" was not present. During the install, but prior to the actual pressing of the "Install" button, check(s) are made between the groups tied to the installer user and what groups are associated with the same user in /etc/groups. Once "oper" was added to the /etc/groups file, the error disappeared and the install proceeded.
Problem solved. Thanks for any earlier inputs.

Found a solution for my problem.
I just recreate the service application - not choosing a special App Pool account but the Farm Account. I now thats not the right way but now it is possible to locate the problem.
It seems that SharePoint have a problem to setup the right permissons on the database, if you create the service Application on another Account than the Farmaccount. Some other people get the same issue with Word or Excel
Services.
If somebody knows proper permissions on the database - please post it

So check the login details and user name and password for this. Examples for correct usage is given in the article attached here.

Error 8062 when I try to copy or move files on my macbook: "This operation could not be completed because an unexpected error occurred (error code -8062)". Can even not install new software now!!

Since a few days when I try to copy or move files on my macbook, I often get an error message saying "This operation could not be completed because an unexpected error occured (error code -8062)". And then it just quits the copy or move.
I searched a lot on the internet, but only found solutions for cases you cannot empty the trash due to this issue.
I tried those solutions for my trash and that helped after some trying.
However, I still have the problem with copying and moving files.
I even cannot install new software now, as it has to copy itself to the programs-directory, and gives the same error-message.
Who can help me??
Cannot seem to find any info on it on the support-forums or elsewhere.
My user-account is administrator, I use a 13" Macbook Aluminium (Late 2008). Mac OS X 10.6.8 CPU 2Ghz Intel Core Duo, RAM: 4GB 1067 MHz DDR3.

Tips I received so far (thanks to A-Mac via Twitter http://www.a-mac.nl and Remco Kalf http://www.remcokalf.nl/)
- make sure you have at least 10% of your harddisk in free space (I had only 5%).
- do a PRAM-reset (http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1379)
- perform a hardware test (http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1509)
- make a complete backup (with for example Carbone Clone Copier, see http://www.bombich.com/)
- after complete backup: use diskwarrior (boot from Diskwarrior DVD, first perform diagnostics, then perform "Rebuild" which rebuilds your file directory).
So far I only cleared up some space on my HD, and already the problem occurs less.
Still, I will go through the other tips too.

The operation can't be completed because an unexpected error occurred (error code -50)

I have a Seagate Central 3tb NAS (latest firmware) attached to my wireless router (Netgear wndr3400v3). I have a late 2011 macbook pro with Yosemite on it. When I go through finder to use my NAS I keep getting "The operation can’t be completed because an unexpected error occurred (error code -50)" . I only get it when I am trying to copy a big folder with other folders and files with in. I can copy a single file or create folders. If i try to copy a folder with 100 pics in it then I get the error. I can create the folder on the NAS and select all 100 files. When I drag them to the NAS, then they copy with no problems. Every so often my time machine has an error and says that it has to create a new backup. I read some where to make sure that "put hard disk to sleep when possible" should be selected in the energy saver in preferences. Still no luck. A can also drag any file from the NAS back to my laptop or view them from the NAS with no problems.

Well I have exactly the same problem! Recently I reset my WD My book White light (2 x 1TB RAID disk), due to the fact that the disk ran full because of TimeMachine.
I reset the disk, and now I can only write some files to it, but most give this error code.
I wrote to WD, but they could not give an answer.
Q: did you update the firmware? Maybe that is causing the problem, in that it is maybe not consistant in the filesystem?

I tried to empty the trash, full of back up file from my hard disk and it just says: "The operation can't be completed because an unexpected error occurred (error code -8003)"

I have an external hard disk of 319.73 GB that I use as back up memory and where I put all the movies and other files that I can't leave on the computer as they occupy too much memory space . One day I was deleting all the previous dated back up to have more space on it , but had to stop the trash for doing it cause it was taking too long and now every time that I try to empty the trash it just says "The operation can’t be completed because an unexpected error occurred (error code -8003)" and even if I press CONTINUE it won't empting it . I'm not really pratical with this things and I tried already to find out the solution here and on Google but apparently nobody ever had a similar error code and I don't know what else to do.
I've a MacBook Pro with a Mac OS X 10.6.8 Version.

I'm trying to delete files from and external disk and i get this: The operation can't be completed because an unexpected error occurred (error code -1407) can somebody help me? files do not get deleted..and the trash not emptied.. thanks

I'm trying to delete files from an external disc and it doesn't let me couse this pops up:
The operation can’t be completed because an unexpected error occurred (error code -1407)
Please what does it mean? I also have a file in the trash of my mac book named something similar to: a'*.'*.'*'.*.
and this cannot be deleted either..
Please let me know what I can do.
I also have many files in the external disc that I need so I cannot do a format..

Have you tried putting the file from your Drobo, onto your computer, then onto to the external hard drive?
