Inspired by Adobe's Menu...

The menu is designed to overlay on top of your page, and is opened or closed by clicking on the menu trigger. This design approach saves precious space in the actual web page and allows for the presentation of rich, mixed content in the sub menu panels to provide a highly engaging menu presentation. The Overlay Menu Magic system is an ideal navigation system for all mobile devices.

  • No Adobe PDF menu in Office 2000 after installing Acrobat 9

Hello everybody, I have an urgent problem.
Preliminaries: I use Windows XP (SP3), with 2 GB RAM. Until yesterday, I had an installation of Adobe CS2 Premium. Acrobat 7 professional comes with the PDFMaker plug-in for Office, so I could create PDF files directly from Word... and all was well.
But: yesterday, I installed Adobe CS4 Design Standard *without removing CS2 first* (after having made sure this was possible -- for the time being, I'll have to run Photoshop, Illustrator & InDesign CS2 'parallel' to their CS4 cousins, as I'm in the middle of a large project). I was aware of the fact that Acrobat is a 'jealous' program, and that installing Acrobat 9 Pro (which is shipped with my version of CS4) would uninstall ('upgrade', the CS4 installer calls it) the previous version of Acrobat. OK, no problem... or so I thought.
However, I now no longer have an "Adobe Acrobat" menu or tool bar in Word (nor in Excel, nor in any other Office 2000 application). Apparently, the PDFMaker plug-in isn't installed (or doesn't work with Office 2000?).
So -- what should I do? There's a PDFMaker folder in the Acrobat 9 folder tree, but I have absolutely no idea how to proceed. Is there any way to install the plug-in manually?
And, if the PDFMaker plug-in does not work with Office 2K, are ther any other Office plugins out there to help me create PFD files directly from Word?
    Any help is highly appreciated.

Just a quick follow up; I had seen several fixes that directed the user to click on the help menu, then choose "disabled items" then enable the pdf item...the only problem was that when I clicked on the Help menu, there was nothing referencing "disabled items"! In frustration, I finally called Adobe tech support, and the person I spoke with had me click on Help, then About Microsoft Office Word...lo and behold! at the bottom right was a button labeled "disabled items". Problem solved; hope at least one person reads this and avoids the frustration of looking for something in the wrong place.
    Ok, so it wasn't a quick follow-up...sorry!

  • The "Adobe PDF" menu choice does not appear on Excel Menu

I've installed Acrobat 9.1.2 and the "Adobe PDF" menu choice does not appear on the Excel 2000 Menu.  I have uninstalled and reinstalled the Microsoft Office option in PDF Maker with no change.  It does appear on the Word 2000 Menu.  Adobe 8.1.3 shows on all apps of Microsoft 2000 (on different computers.)

According to Version Compatibility of Acrobat PDFMakers Office 2000 is not suupported by Acrobat 9.

  • Adobe PDF Menu in Word casues application crash

The Adobe PDF menu is Outlook and Excel 2003 work fine, but Word 2003 crshes every time I use it.  It started about the time that patch 9.5 came out.  I have uninstalled and reinstalled Office 2003 and have done the same with Acrobat 9.  At the 9.0.0 level the new install also crashes.
When it happens it hs saved the word file and asked where to save the pdf, then it starts the herk-nd-jerk process and then Word dies and tries to restart.   No PDF file is ever made.  The acrobat writer works, but is far less functional.  Please advise on how to fix this problem.

I guess your Adobe PDFMaker is  has got Corrupted.  Try repairing the program by removing the Adobe PDF printer from Devices & Printers
    ( printers and faxes - XP ).
Else, try to update till 9.5.2 and check if it works for you...

  • Presenter 7 installs, but no "Adobe Presenter" menu in PowerPoint

System: Windows Vista SP1 with Office 2007.
Presenter 6.1 has always worked for me without issues.
I saw that Presenter 7 had been released, so I grabbed the
trial version, uninstalled Presenter 6.1, and Installed Presenter
    7. Installation completes without issues. However, when PowerPoint
is loaded, there is no Adobe Presenter menu present. I followed the
instructions in the release notes for enabling a disabled add-in,
but Presenter was not listed as an add-in (disabled or not).
I've tried a repair installation, I've removed and
reinstalled, nothing gives me the Adobe Presenter tab in PowerPoint
    2007.
Anyone else experience this and found a solution? I can't
wait to get my hands on Presenter 7, but if I can't get it
    installed, it's useless to me.
For now, I reinstalled Presenter 6.1, and it is back and
    working fine.

    Hi All,
To answer this, first we need to check if Adobe Presenter is installed on the computer system we are dealing with.
The easiest and the quickest way would be to go to Control Panel > Add/Remove Programs > Program Features and check within the list of instralled applications.
Once this is verified, launch Microsoft Power Point 2007 and click on the MS Office button on the top left.
    * From the drop down, select PowerPoint options.
    * Click on the Add Ins Tab on the left hand pane.
    * On the bottom of this page next to 'Manage' click the drop down list to select 'Disabled Items' and click 'GO'.
    * A second box would appear. On this smalll box click and highlight Adobe Presenter Com Add In from the list and click on 'Enable'.
    * Close Powerpoint window and relaunch MS Powerpoint.
    * You should now have the Adobe Presenter Tab available on the top menu bar for MS Powerpoint 2007.

  • Adobe Help Menu stopped working - Adobe Air installation of app is damaged

    Hi,
I've had the CS5 Master Collection installed for a few days and suddenly when trying to use the "Help" Menu in InDesign, it prompted an "Adobe Air" update, and somehow in that process, all my Adobe Help Menus and "Support Center" menus won't work. Now I get an error message that says: Adobe Air: This installation of this application is damaged. Try reinstalling or contacting the publisher for assistance.
Not sure how to fix this. I uninstalled Adobe Air and then reinstalled, but it did nothing. I suspect it's the help/support application that is damaged. How can I fix this? The help menu is very...helpful.
    Thanks!

  • Two "Adobe Reader" menu items in "Open with" context menu

Is there a simple remedy to the problem of multiple occurrences of "Adobe Reader" in the context menu?
That is, in the Finder, on Mac OS 10.6.8, I see two instances of "Adobe Reader" in the "Open with..." context menu...
    thank you in advance.

    Hi!
thanks for the response! I would be happy to find the root cause of this issue (or at least find and remove the data in the facility called Launch Services.
I have no additional binaries of Adobe Reader on the disk. One only.
I think there is some crufty data somewhere, which Launch Services is reading and hence displaying the erroneous menu item.
I suspect the Adobe Reader installer is somehow responsible for this. This was a clean and newly built system disk.
I have been reading the following:
How to rebuild the LaunchServices database
Launch Services Framework Release Notes for Mac OS X v10.5
    Rebuild Launch Services Database
Now, I tried resetting the "global Launch Services database".
I must restart Finder to see if this was successful. Until later...

  • Inspiration Browser & Adobe AIR

In the process of trying to install the suggested Inspiration Browser, I uninstalled Adobe Air.  Elements 9 won't install either one--the dreaded error message--I've given up on Inspiration Browser.  How do I get Adobe Air back?

If you go to the main page of adobe.com there's a link to download AIR, if you want it.

  • Adobe Help Menu

We just got the eLearning Suite 6.1 and when I've tried to open the Captivate help site from the menu or using F1 it hasn't worked.  Is anyone else having this happen?

I'm not staff, of course, but hopefully y'all won't mind if I try? If so, just say so and I'll go away.
Locate the shortcut you use to open Captivate. Right-click it. Choose Open File Location from the shortcut properties. This should open Windows Explorer (the file browser) to look at your file system.
Navigate to the Adobe folder that should be above the folder where Captivate is. You should see a folder named Adobe Help. Open that folder and you should find a file named Adobe Help.exe (you may not see the .exe bit if this is turned off by Windows)
Double-click that file and see if help opens.
    Cheers... Rick

  • Adobe Encore Menu Buttons

I have a menu that works find when I preview in on my pc.  it highlights the buttons and when I press play it plays the linked video.
I build the project and then burn the dvd, I put it in my dvd player and the menu opens up but when I click the arrows on the remote I do not see any
highlighted buttons.  It must be moving because if I het play it plays different sections,  I just can not tell what menu button it will play because I do not see the highlights.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.  I just Sat here for 5 hours trying different things and still no luck

On my preview my buttons worked.  I do know that for something to be a
button it has to be named with    check out this linke
    http://www.adobe.com/ap/tips/encmenu/
mine did not work when put in the DVD player.  I found out instead of making
a DVD folder I could write directly to the DVD and everything worked.  Must
have been something in CD creator.  I usually take a pre-made menu and then
edit it.  they are usually under
c:\program_files\adobe\encor\libraries new encore goes into folder there
    like sports etc.

  • How do I get the Adobe Motion Menu Templates to work . . .

Seems like a simple question. I downloaded my "Adobe Gift" and placed them in a new folder in the Library.
When I open an Encore 2.0 project these new menu templates do show up. But when import them in the project they appear but the motion is disabled (even when I preview it).
So, how do I get the motion to work in the motion menu templates?
    Thanks. Roy

You have to render the motion menus before they will play.

  • Adobe Muse - Menu Bar Customization

I am new to muse and have made a couple of test sites. I am not working on my first Muse site and running into the problem of customizing my menu bar. The bar no longer shows up as 4 different sections. It comes up as one big one. How do I add more sections to my menu bar and how do I change the name? Is there a way to Make the Menu an Image almost like a Photoshop button but have a Pull Down Menu. Is it possible to have a Pull Down menu?
    Thanks!

When you drag a menu to the web page it replicates the your plan view, to show the child pages you will have to choose 'All pages' as the menu type by clicking the on the small blue icon. If you want to customize the menu the way you want you can use the option of the manual menu.

  • Adobe Illustrator - menu freaking out

I recently installed Adobe Illustrator CS2 on my system, and for a while it worked fine. However about three weeks ago I launched it and the menus and submenus are all whacked out. For example: Instead of reading "File" it reads "$$$/_MBAR/Mn..."
    and
    "File > Open" reads "$$$/_MBAR/Mnu/File/New=&New"
Anyone know why this is happening and how to fix it? I tried dumping my Prefs, and it didn't work. I also tried re-installing Adobe CS2 but that didn't work either. All other Adobe CS2 programs seem fine - only Illustrator has this issue.
    Thanks
    imac g5   Mac OS X (10.4.3)   1.8 GHz 1 GB DDR SDRAM

This is not an iMac problem but an Illustrator problem.

  • Windows 7 - Adobe CS6 menu fonts missing

The top menu bar and the panels are showing the wrong font in all of the applications. The submenus are fine. I needed to remove another application, and I'm guessing it took the required font(s) with it. Is there an easy fix to get those menu fonts back? I'm using Windows 7.
    Thanks!
    Chuck

Adobe apps primarily use Verdana, Trebuchet and Helvetica fonts. You can find all those directly on the Microsoft pages and install them. If that doesn't help, check your fonts on a broader level. Some poorly created freeware font may have usurped an already used font name...
