Installing Photoshop Elements 5 without a CD

Hi there-
I purchased the Photoshop Elements 5 boxed retail version a few years back. I subsequently bought the Elements 7 upgrade via the Adobe store, and was able to install it on the PC I had already installed Elements 5. I went to install Elements 7 on my new PC (I understand from the license we are allowed 2 installs) but my upgrade serial key doesnt work, I suspect because there is no copy of Elements 5 previously installed on the new computer.
I have lost my initial Elements 5 CD, though I do have everything else including the box, manual and Elements 5 serial key. My question is, is there anyway to install Elements 7 (upgrade) on the new PC without installing 5 first, or is there anyplace I can get another copy of Elements 5, activate it on the new computer, and then activate the Elements 7 upgrade?
As I mentioned, I have serial keys for both the Elements 5 program and the Elements 7 upgrade, just not the Elements 5 CD. I also for what its worth have a copy of Elements 5 on my old PC, but not sure there is any way to 'copy' it over such that it is 'installed' on the new PC.

Definately, PSE 7 serial number is not going to work on PSE 5, so that problem is resolved.
Also, you need not neccesarily have PSE 5 installed on the machine to use PSE 7 Upgrade serial number. So that should be also fine.
The problem here might be the difference in the PSE 7 build and serial number bought. The "Box"/"retail" serial number does NOT work for the PSE 7 trial which is downloaded from the net. In case you have downloaded the PSE 7 "Try and Buy" version, and trying to convert it into Full version, then you have to buy a serial number from the "Buy" button present on the Welcome Screen or follow the link which appears on the trial/serialization screen.
Ifyou have bought the box serial number, then you may have to downaload and run the installer for "Full Version".
There have been many users who reported this issue in PSE7 and i am sure adobe will do something to address this problem in E8 release.
You can reply back, in case something mentioned above doesnt make sense (as it is a bit confusing)

I just bought canon 5D mark III, it included Premiere Elements 12 and Lightroom 5.
I'd like to install these to my windows 7 laptop which don't have DVD or CD Rom drive.
I know I could install Elements 13 trial and then give the seriel number from DVD, but this is version 12.
Haven't tried this, 'cause guessing troubles..
The question could simply be: "where to download Premiere Elements 12 trial version?".
Or another route?

Copy the content of the CD/DVD on the flash drive , plug in the flash drive , copy and paste the content on the desktop and run the installation.

How do i install photoshop elements 11 without a disk drive

I own photoshop elements 11 and have the disk but my new laptop doesn't have a disk drive. I found the software here http://helpx.adobe.com/photoshop-elements/kb/photoshop-elements-10-11-downloads.html. I downloaded the content but it wont install. The application says I need to download the rest of the content to install. The thing is I have downloaded the rest of the content. I am not sure what to do. The first large file comes in a 7z file format. I have extracted the files to see if thats what I needed to do and it still didn't work. I do need some help with this. The operating system is windows 8.1, 6 GB of ram, AMD quad core processor.

You don't need to touch the .7z file at all.
Download the .7z and the .exe file to the same folder on your hard drive
Double click the .exe file and follow the prompts

Unable to install Photoshop Elements 10 from DVD

I bought Photoshop Elements 10 and Premiere Elements 10 bundled. Premiere installed correctly.
And I am able to run and register that product.
PE did not but gave no error message on installation. In fact it gave indication that installation was finished.
Shortcut links create were invalid. After reading fourms I found the link to the PE editor and created
that myself. However the Organizer software was not loaded onto my fairly new Windows7 computer.
[Hence there was no previous Adobe installations or issues related to that.] Since no organizer software exists, I seem unable to load
a image into the editor program. I am on my 3rd try of re-installing. Software uninstalls everytime
between installations.
Can someone point me with what to do next? I am very knowledgeable with computers.

If you installed Premiere Elements, Elements Organize must be already installed on your computer.
This might not be a perfect solution, but can you open Elements Organizer from Adobe Premiere Elements, import your content into Organizer, and then use the options in elements organizer to open that content in Photoshop Elements? You could alternatively post your query on the Photoshop Elements forum (http://forums.adobe.com/community/photoshop_elements), or wait for an expert on this forum to get back to you with a better solution.

In any case it doesn't matter. I returned it to the store where I bought it.
Rule #1; Don't use a product if the people who produce that product (software, hardware, etc.) don't properly support it.
User forums and\or chat lines, are useful and may help. But! They do not constitute proper support (not for installation purposes anyway).

I cannot answer regarding compatibility, but there is no download available for PSE6 if you would need one for this. You might be able to copy the installation files from a disk to some other removable media that the machine accepts. Upgrading to PSE7 would not be possible mainly because Adobe does not sell older versions of their software.
