Installation of Master Collection CS3 (disc version for Windows) - is there any possibility of installing my legitimately purchased MC-CS3 on a new laptop without optical drive? Perhaps through a download link or will tranfering all Adobe files from my old to my new computer do the trick as well? Or do I necessarily have to buy an external optical drive? I recently purchased Master Collection CS3, Student Edition for P.C. I installed it and have been using it for about a month, but unfortunately I need the money, and would like to sell the item. If I de-activate the software, and then sell it, would the next person be able to install the software as normal?

Educational versions are usually non-transferable, so you'd better check whether it's legal for you to sell your copy.
It's possible the buyer may not be able to activate the software because you had activated the same serial number before. :/

Is Creative Suite Master Collection CS3 compatible with Windows 7?

Hi I was just wondering if Master Collection CS3 was compatible with Windows 7. Has it been tested and was it successful? Or were there problems with it? If so is CS4 compatible or would I have to buy the newest version? I would just like a simple answer if you could give it referring to if I can use it and if there's any problematic occurances that come with putting the two together. Thank you.

No, CS3 was never tested on Win 7 and thus is not officially compatible or certified with it. The first version to fit that criteria is indeed CS4. That doesn't mean that CS3 couldn't run at alll on Win 7, though. Many users do, but the specific level of success depends on too many factors, so nobody can give you a definitive answer. If you can afford it, just get CS6/ Creative Cloud.

Missing Installation Disc for Master Collection CS3

Greetings....I need to reinstall the Master Collection CS3 because my PC drive got wiped out. I was just reinstalling it and realized Disc 4 is missing when I was asked to insert it. It's been a year or 2 since last time I had to install. I've looked and can't find it. No money or interest in updgrading at the moment. Can anything be done?

You cannot use a Windows version of Master Collection CS3 on a Mac.
The platform swap policy is applicable for the latest version of the softwares and inapplicable for the older version.

I would suggest purchasing a subscription to the Creative Cloud as the new Mac you bought has Mavericks OS which has not been tested with CS3 and you might face compatibility issues.
The latest Creative Cloud version of the softwares are perfectly compatible with the latest Mac OS (Mavericks).

Thanks for the GREAT info!!! Just what was looking for. I probably will go with an HP d5000t since someone else on another post is using one. It is custom built to my specs, can go to 8GB RAM, and support 64 Vista. I want a high powered graphics card, but I worry about power supply.
As for crashes and other mishaps, I tried to burn a 1-hour DVD out of Encore. It took 2 1/2 hours and got to the very end of the burn process, then froze up. The same thing happened on another computer, so it is software related. Also in Encore, I accidently imported an HD menu (Party Menu HD) into a DV project. From then on it caused numerous crashes "on both PCs". Says it is a corrupted file and wants me to delete it from the project. It will not clear or delete, and even pops up after opening new or archived projects. I finally just got it to burn all the way through after removing a slideshow from the project, but the currupted file is still there even after deleting the 3.0 presets and library folder.
I have Procoder 3 for batch conversions, which is awesome! It has a plug-in for CS3 Premiere, but I use the standalone as well. I wonder if it's causing any of my issues?
Premiere seems to work okay. Plays back poor quality un-rendered video. Audio is a big problem in Premiere. Editable multi-knob effects like compressors and EQ dump their presets in the middle of an edit. I guess they're called VST plug-ins? You know, if I tweek the preset values and then try to "reset" back to the original, it will set the knob settings to bizarre values.
Soundbooth works well, but haven't done too much on it. I hate having to go to another application. I start to lose track of files after they have been extracted from video. I need to come up with a renaming plan. When I try to "Edit Original" in Premiere, a video of still image file, it opens in Windows Media Player instead of the appropriate CS3 app. I don't know how to set that up.
I don't understand Bridge, although I like that it plays files in its own interface and I can get to tutorial videos. Apart from that, I prefer Windows Explorer for finding and moving files. I have not touched Version Cue from CS2 or CS3.
I like Encore and find it much more user-friendly than previous CS.
I opened up After Effects once - and never again, not on this PC. Even a single video file on the timeline, it barely played back - something like a frame a second. I though the computer was going to explode!
Photoshop seemed okay but I did nothing other than simple fixes to Encore menus. I have not tried to work any other apps because I'm afraid of an urecoverable situation.
By the way, my "other PC" is a Newtek Tricaster. ALso about 3 years old or more. It seems a little more stable than the Sony VAIO, and a good backup, but I'm taxing it too much with CS3 on top of its own stuff.
I am looking to sell the Tricaster if anyone is interested. I have no use for it these days.

The flaw is here:
corporate edition
...which essentially means it's most likely a volume license and thus not transferable in the first place. The rest is as Steve said - buying software on eBay is risky even on the best of days.

I cannot locate my '4th disk' of the master collection which my paid for copy of CS# Master Collection - so I cannot reinstall.

If anyone is able to solve this they are a genius (or I am doing something very stupid!)
I am trying to reinstall CS5.5 Master Collection from DVD media on Windows 7 64 bit PC but setup.exe fails due to a msxml3.dll error.
Following a big bundle of recent Windows 7 updates, I started getting 'bad image' msxml3.dll error messages when opening any CS5.5 master collection program (Eg Premiere / Photoshop / Illustrator / Dreamweaver). Following advice on some threads here I tried uninstalling and then using the Adobe CC Cleaner Tool to clean up install, then reinstalling from my original DVD media.
Whenever I try using run setup.exe from installtion disc 1 the installing fails due to 'Missing files'. I have also tried dowloading trial versions and runing setup.exe fro mthe downloaded files but i still get the same message.
I have searched the forum and others have experienced this error but none of the solutions I have found seem to be working for me - as many seem to relate to download installations whereas I am installing from original DVD media (which worked fine before on the same PC)
These are the FATAL messages from the PDApp log

The PDApp troubleshooting seems to indicate that this is caused by error in downloads but I am getting it with both original media DVD and downloads.
I have also tried using my logon (which has admin privileges) and under our main admin account - and I get the same errors.
Is a clean install of Windows 7 + CS5.5 my only option?
Any help / info / advice / solutions very much appreciated! I have spent the last 2 days trying to sort this out and seem to be getting nowhere.

I have already tried that option (along with downloading files) as it was one of the solutions mentioned on other threads, but that also failed.

64-bit version for windows not working

ive installed the 64-bit version for windows, i connect my 5s and it tells me to uninstall itunes and reinstall the 64-bit because the itunes isnt the right version

For general advice see Troubleshooting issues with iTunes for Windows updates.
The steps in the second box are a guide to removing everything related to iTunes and then rebuilding it which is often a good starting point unless the symptoms indicate a more specific approach. Everything was doing well back then. And when W8 came, then the problem started. A quick fix from here and there would do the job but here comes W10 another major adjustment and who knows what's next. For whatever it is,... skype in toto is a helping hand ...
