Installation on widows 7

I bought the Photoshop Elements 10 and Premiere Elements 10 in a box together. I got my serial #s for each and started installation. I first installed disc 1 out of the 5 disc set. When it was finished I could not eject the disc and used the trip button to get the disc out. I then had to restart my computer to get the disc drive to work again. I then noticed with Windows 7 that disc 2 was to be what I should have loaded first. I am running a 64bit system. I put in disc 2 and it came up as an uninstall. I don't understand why that is and would like anyone to give me info. on that. My question would be, if I just uninstall what I have put in on disc 1, can I install disc 2 and use the serial # again like on disc 1? I really think Adobe should do a better job of labeling what should be used when. How about an instruction sheet with print large enough to read.

I'm having the same problem!! I'm annoyed that they didn't do a better job marking what i should have used first...i assumed i started with disc1~now i uninstalled and tried reinstalling. It worked the first time but not the second time. weird. I didnt' have a problem with the disc ejecting though...
did you figure it out?

I know to install the required drivers for my notebook computer, I will need to use the HP Recovery Manager; which will install the original software and hardware drivers that first came with my notebook. To do this, please follow this document on Using Recovery Manager to Restore Software and Drivers (Windows 7), as well as (Windows 8 and 8.1).
To update the drivers on my computer to the latest software, I recommend following this document on Using HP Support Assistant (Windows 7) as well as (Windows 8 and 8.1).
However,
First: my primary goal is to know which HP tool is most appropriate for locating, obtaining, and installing all appropriate drivers, updates, etc. immediately after a clean new Windows 7 or 8.1 installation.
I know that HP support assistant helps to download the updates for existing sotware, and drivers. However, if I made a fresh installation of widows, there wouldn't be existing drivers or software, then Which one is most appropriate to be used immediately after a fresh new clean Windows install?? -- to determine, retrieve, and install all the appropriate drivers??
Second: How to save/transfer/export/move the Drivers and Application built-in HP Recovery Manager onto a HDD Or a disc(DVD/CD). So, in case I have delted the HP Recovery Manager, and installed a new Windows 7 installation, then I would be using these Drivers and Applications saved on a HDD or Disc to retrieve, and install all the appropriate dirvers and applications?
Finally: All rivers and Application built-in HP Recovery Manager are saved as NON-SoftPaq on a folder called SwSetup. So could I download all rivers and Application built-in HP Recovery Manager as a SoftPaq.

How are you starting X? That shows that X started successfully, but the program that controls X, generally your desktop environment exited.

I'm trying to run the installer for firefox on widows 8, but the installer doesn't start.

Earlier today I tried to run Firefox and it didn't start, so I went and uninstalled it, then tried to reinstall it, but the installer would not pop up. But in the task manager I see Firefox 32bit installer is there.I've tried running it with my antivirus off. The installer worked before, and I was able to run Firefox. None of the other programs I've download are doing this.

I get the itunes has encounterd a problem and needs to close, sorry for the inconvenience error, no specific error number. I do not have QT installed,
not having QT installed is what will be causing your itunes error message at the moment. let's try a careful standalone QT 7.1 install.
download and save a copy of the QT 7.1 standalone installer to your hard drive. (we'll run the install from there rather than online.) switch off antivirus and antispyware applications prior to the install.

if that install goes through okay, does your itunes launch properly again?

Crystal report installation problem in windows azure.

I have purchased standard version of web site in windows azure server,i'm converting existing normal asp.net application into widows azure project as web role project.In my existing project they have used crystal report tool to generate the reports.
The issue has been arrived when i published the project into azure server.When i did some R&D people have suggested some tool to install the tool name called "CRRuntime.MSI".We tried and install this msi file both 64 bit and 32 bit,but the
problem we couldn't even know whether the .MSI file got installed or not.
Still we are having same issues in server.Please give your good ideas to short this issue in server.

Hi,
Please make sure that you are enabling remote connection to the web role while deploying from visual studio 2012. Then get remote connectivity RDP file for the VM and connect to it. Install your tool manually and check if the problem getting resolved. If
this manual installation works then you can schedule installation as start up task in Azure web role.
[Although I don't know if your tool can be installed automatically by .cmd or .bat or powershell script file]

I just purchased a new HP Pavilion Laptop running windows 8
If I try to install any program that requires Adobe Air I get a failure message that says
"Sorry an error has occured
The applcation could not be installed because the installer file is damaged. Try obtaining a new installer file for the applciation author"
I have version 14.0.0.110 of Adobe Air Installed.
I have installed all widows updates.
I have removed and re installed Adobe Air but the problem persists
Very frustrating problem, any help or direction is appreciated

I am trying to install Windows Installer 4.5 [windows6.0-KB942288-v2-x64] on windows 8.1 which is pre-requisite for installation of "Microsoft® SQL Server® 2008 Express with Advanced Services"
I am getting below error while installing Windows Installer 4.5
"Installer encountered an error: 0x80096002 on windows 8.1"
I tried to add the feature "Windows Identity Foundation 3.5" in order to resolve the issue
But it didn't help

Adobe air installer wont do anything

today i got an error message saying that adobe air wasent working so i unistalled it and downloaded it fresh from the site but when i try to run the installer nothing happends it just sits there in the prosses list in that task manager here the adobe air install logs

The DVD may be working, but the ISO created from it may not be created correctly.

Essbase 9.3.1 installation errors

I am trying to install and re-install Essbase 9.3.1, since last couple of days on my widows pc. I know the installation sequence now, but still facing below mentioned problems
* After installing and configuring shared services I am unable to login to "http://localhost:58080/interop" with the default user id "admin" and password as "password". Is this the correct way or do I need to create a user called "admin" somewhere?
* If I continue to install esb_client & esb_server installations after that and also configuring the same. I get the error msg "registration parameters are not valid" while configuring.
Also, the "http://localhost:58080/interop" link which was opening before ceases to open even though the shared services are running as a windows service in background.
I am more or less following instructions mentioned in the following blog and also referring to Oracle documentation:

I am using Windows Vista Business Edition with Service Pack 1 installed.
I tried again everything. I followed the sequence and rebooted my laptop after every install and configuration.
Somehow I was able to get the Shared Services up and running. I was able to log-in using default user id "admin" and password as "password". Even i ran shared services manually as you mentioned and checked that no errors were getting generated. The connection with database and appserver were fine.
But unfortunately, after I installed the esb_client (Rebooted after install) and esb_server (Rebooted after install), I ran the configuration utility to configure essbase server. It did not configure and prompted an error "Registration parameters are not valid".
Then I tried to check whether my Shared Services are running fine by manually starting them again. But this time it threw lot of errors with one of them being "unable to connect to database". This is really strange as there was no issue with Shared Services before the esb_client and esb_server install. I even tried logging into "http://localhost:58080/interop" but was unsuccessful and got the same error "user:admin not found".
I am thinking of uninstalling and reinstalling everything again.
Please help and let me know what shoud I do? Is essbase 9.3.1 compatible with Vista Business Edition?
Also let me know if you need any output of my log files.
