Installed iTunes and try opening it and get an error message

I have installed iTunes twice and uninstalled it aswell. I go to open it and it gives me an error message that the file is in a locked folder or that I do not have permission to open the file. What could this be? I havent been able to ue iTunes since I updated my iPhone to iOS 7. Really feeling like I made a mistake doing that.

"Error 3000" through "3999"
Alerts with codes in the 3000 range generally mean that iTunes cannot contact the gs.apple.com server on ports 80 or 443. This may be because out-of-date or incorrectly configured security or firewall software is interfering, or due to your Internet proxy settings. If you are using a proxy, try removing the proxy settings, or using a known-good network. If that does not resolve the issue, follow iTunes for Windows: Troubleshooting security software issues.

When I try to install iTunes on my Windows computer I get an error message, "Apple Mobile Device failed to start". After an incomplete installation when I try to open iTunes I get an error message, "MSVCR80.dll missing". I downloaded MSVCR80.dll.

Excuse me. I am on a contract with O2 with an iphone 4s, suddenly xmas day it said "no service", took it to o2 who sent it to apple factory who refused to repair it because a screw missing. I wouldnt know have never opened phone in my life,wouldnt know how to, then went direct to Apple Regent St London who also said "screw missing, warrenty void, then produced a phone just out of contract due to upgrade,a vodaphone carrier 3gs, it was unlocked but then told by apple the owner had to go to vodaphone and get it unlocked on their books which could take up to 48 hours, it is now 72 hours later and i have the same error despite backing up old phone with i tunes and i cloud,am very angry and am paying alot for a contract every month, all i can see is "no service and waiting for activation" and all ths started when I upgraded to IOS 6.Am extremely upset and still under warranty but no one seems to want to help me to connect to WiFI, i cannot keep going to Apple Regent Street at lunchtime and be shooed of with excuses, this replacement phone 3gs should work and it doesnt. I had the same issue which is now solved. For your information, the following procedure was successful:
Check permissions within the Installer folder. To do this, follow these steps.
1. Click on Start and in the Start Search bar > type in > c: /windows/installer.
2. Right click on c: /windows/installer at the top under programs and click properties.
3. Click on the security tab > Verify if System and Administrator account has Full access permissions.
Note : I ran into problem with locating the C:\windows\installer directory. For some reason Windows Explorer wouldn't show it even though I don't have it hidden. I ended up using the ExplorerXP application to locate the directory. ExplorerXP is available at http://www.explorerxp.com/

Ok people, I think I have found the solution !
If you click on the start button from your desktop screen.
Then in the "search programs and files" field type : apple software update - you can find the apple installer.
Click on the apple software update line and let the machine run it's course. I recommend updating whatever it wants to , ie: safari 5, quicktime, itunes....
I then restarted my computer and it seems to be working now !

Trying to sync iPhone 4 with itunes and get an error message PLEASE help

I am currently using and iPhone 4. This morning I had synced my iPhone with itunes and it was working fine. I came home and wanted to add some music and such to it and all of a sudden i will plug it in to itunes and i,t looks like its going gets to step 2 of 6 (which is the back up process) and then an error message comes up saying itunes has stopped working, my only option to do is exit the window..
Any ideas why this would be the case? its really frustrating me. I am also not the most computer savvy.

Try reinstalling iTunes http://www.apple.com/itunes/
If that doesn't help, if you are using a Windows based computer, could be your anti virus software or your firewall that's preventing the sync.

I have windows 8, 64 bit. I am trying to install ITunes 64 bit installer, but keep getting an error message that says a .DLL file is missing. How can I fix this?

I am glad you left this up here: nowhere does the error say what the problem is, other than a "missing .dll file." I-Photo won't open even though I have upgraded to OS X Yosemite and downloaded the I-Photo upgrader.
But have you run the the iPhoto Library upgrader? It is installed in Applications > Utilities. Launch it and direct it to your iPhoto library.
Which version of iPhoto did you upgrade from?
The upgrader is only necessary, if you have been running iPhoto7.1.2 or earlier.

Create a new profile as a test to check if your current profile is causing the problems.
