Installed latest Firefox update v25.0.1 on WinXP Pro 2002 SP2 and now it does not work. Reset does not work.
I just allowed FireFox to update itself. Now the version is at 25.0.1
Running on Windows XP Pro version 2002 SP2. FireFox has ALWAYS worked. NOW IT DOESNT. I can't even use it to connect to my own router login screen. IT IS DEAD.
RESET DID NOT WORK
SAFE MODE DID NOT WORK

The detailed instructions go into firewall config bs. HOW DO I remove Firefox from my program's list of trusted or recognized programs? What does this have to do with Firewalls? Why is this happening in the first place? Can I revert to an earlier version. My Firewall is OFF. These instructions suck.

I just installed the latest software update on my iPhone this weekend (9/22/12), and now I can't get email. I've restarted and closed all my apps to no avail. I'm able to get email on my laptop, so it's not a problem with my provider. Any ideas?
Originally we were getting the error that the phone could not connect. Then, after deleting the account multiple times and re-adding it again, the error message CHANGED to having to log in to Yahoo and authorize.
When we went to Yahoo in a regular browser and logged in there was an alert telling us about connection attempts so it disabled mobile/iphone connectivity. It required that we change our password FIRST.
Then, we went in to Manage Apps and Webpages and saw that iPhone was not there but Facebook was.
After all of this went back to the phone and deleted then re-added the account again and SUCCESS!
It now also shows up on the Yahoo Manage Apps and Webpages.
Hope this helps someone else. Please consider giving me points if it does or like the post.

I have installed the safari extention cleaner youtube. I didn't like it and now I a not able to uninstall it. I search in safari>preferences> extentions and it not appear there. My safari is the 5.1.10. Can anyone help me?
If you got it from http://clea.nr/install/ then if it's not shown in Safari - Preferences - Extensions, it isn't installed.

I updated my facebok app after the app store said that it needed to be updated and ow the app wont load when I try to open it. I have tried to install and reinstall the app and I have also rebooted the phone several times with no results
try settings>general>reset>reset network settings, i mean this sounds like its a facebook issue its self and that you would have to wait for another update, they were probably getting prepped for ios 6 and somehow this one got out for an update, they are usually pretty good about getting updates out.

Have just downloaded IO5......lost all my apps in the process and now only get a very poorly lit screen. Any ideas out there??
The brightness issue is not something that I've heard of in connection to the update, it may just be a coincidence. Has the brightness level in Settings > Brightness & Wallpaper been turned for some reason ? If not then you could try a reset : press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider), after which the Apple logo should appear (it won't remove any content that you've got on the iPad, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot). But it could be a hardware issue so you may need to contact Apple.
In terms of your apps, were they on your computer's iTunes when you did the update ? The iPad backup only contains the content and settings from you apps and not the actual apps, so for the restore to work fully you need your apps on your computer's iTunes. As long as the apps are still available in the store, and you use the same iTunes account as you originally used to buy them, then you should be able to re-download them for free - if you re-download them to your computer you could then try restoring to your backup and see if that restores then and their content. -

Cannot install latest Firefox update. Seems to download OK but that's it!
Frequently receive prompts to download/install the latest update. Click to download and it appears to work. Never installs the update. I've restarted/rebooted/downloaded the upgrade several times. Nothing works! Any thoughts?

I have tried everything to sort this out, uninstalling itunes etc, running without antivirus/firewall on, updating firewall/anti virus, i have spent allday trying to sort this out. can anyone here be of asistance.
Try updating the iPhone on another computer or in another user acconut.

I updated my software to 10.6.8 so I could sync my iPhone to iTunes but now when I try to open iTunes, it quits as soon as I open it. Are there any updates that will solve this?
This (Repair permissions) did not work. I am seeing that the "world" is having the same problem as I, and it it appears that Apple software people have been testing on us again. Well, I hope they see enough problems to justify working on it....

One of the suggestions probably was to try starting Firefox in its Safe Mode by holding down the shift key when starting Firefox. (This doesn't work if Firefox is still running hidden in memory.)
In the small dialog that should appear, click "Start in Safe Mode" (''not'' Reset)

Hi everyone, I need some help big time. I was currently running the IOS 6.0.1 on my iphone 4 and I could sync and transfer music to my phone via my iTunes account. But I updated my phone to the new IOS 6.1 and now I can not transfer music onto my iphone, all it does is tries to sync the songs but it doesn't. I have uninstalled and reinstalled iTunes back onto my laptop yet it still does not work. Can anyone please help me.

The release of iTunes 11.0.2 and iOS 6.1.2 for my iPhone 4, seems to have sorted everything. I can now sync music, films and photos between my MacBook and my phone.
I was dubious about blindly doing the updates but decided they couldn't really mess up any further functionality so I went for it and it's sorted now.
