Installed Logic 8 but soundtrack didn't install, please help!
Hey guys,
many moths ago i installed soundtrack pro ONLY from the logic 8. it was deleted from my Mac somehow and now that I tried installing everything, it let me install all except Soundtrack Pro, it doesn't say anything...the only thing i notice is that the soundtrack pro is Greyed Out.
Is there any way i can get soundtrack pro to install?
what can i do?
Use Pacifist to install it manually, or move the receipts relating to it out of the /Library/Receipts/ folder and try the Installer again.

I recently re installed Windows 7 and attempted to install itunes. I receive the message,"Thank you for installing itunes but itunes failed to install. Can you help?
This happens to me on several Windows PCs. Some running Win7. Some running WinXP.
I found that by using Safari, I could successfully download iTunes. Didn't work on any other browser I tried - only Safari.
Been that way for the past three iTunes updates. Annoying but I can work around it rather easily.

Firefox has always worked fast. But after the last upgrade, it has slowed right down. I am running Windows 7 32 bit. Now the first website loads fast; then the next website loads slower; then links gradually slow down until I just see the reverse arrow which never loads up.
I have re-installed Firefox w/out success.

WillSorry your experience wasn't a plesant one, but most of the issues they work on are hardware in nature, not software.. I'm not taking up for Apple... I'd had my share of run-ins with them as well.
As for your iTunes issue... an EASY solution is to simply tell iTunes that the location you want your tunes stored in is your Public folder. Items in your public folder can be seen and opened by others, so your wife could easily access the files there.
For you, go to your Music folder, find the iTunes folder, and drag it to your public folder.
Next, go to iTuness>Preferences and click on the Advanced tab, then the General Tab, and the first window you see is the iTunes Music Folder Locataion. Click Change, then navigate to the iTunes folder in you Public folder.
Now, next time you purchase a song from the iTunes store, or import songs from a CD, they will be stored in the iTunes folder, in your public folder.
You wife does basically the same thing except she navigates to YOUR public folder, and the iTunes folder inside.
She will have to manually find and import any new songs you add but at least your entire library will be available for her to listen to.
There are other ways of getting the same thing done, but I think this is the easiest.

Oh my gosh I had the EXACT same problem, and for ages I couldn't figure out how to fix it until today. Here's what I did:
First I went onto my computer, opened itunes, and un-installed tumblr, vine and kik. These were the apps I was having problems with (it said I had them on my phone but, like you, they didn't show).
Then I went to the itunes store, searched for each one, and it said I could update them so I did (just FYI: for tumblr a window popped up saying "please click ok to confirm you are 17 years or older", so I did that also)
When I went back to my phone and tried installing them again (still on my computer), it worked!

Hi, how do I download the replace CS2 acrobat professional 7? I can't find a link for Mac. I reinstalled CS2 from adobe (as my old G4 Powerbook needed reinstalling), but it didn't install instal Acrobat or Distiller. Adobe don't seem to have any contact mechanism.

I have downloaded iOS 6 to my iTunes but I have clicked "Download Only" not "Download and Update" how do i install/sync it to my iPad. Please help me, its taken me hours to download it i don't want to do it again
PLEASE HELP ME!!!Hook your iPad into your computer and open iTunes. GIve it a couple of minutes to get going, then click on the name of your device, then the main summary page. In the middle you'll see a software update button/area. Click on check on updates and update and follow the prompts.
it SHOULDN"T redownload but if you've already got it should just install.
I'd suggest that you first do a complete sync before you update, that way you have a good backup to restore your device from if the upgrade doesn't go perfect. -

I had issues with the new update to itunes. I did as the website instructed and uninstalled all components.
I went back to download and it acts like everything has downloaded
by stating congratulations but nothing had downloaded.

Click on that, and it will present you with a list of options. From there, you go to the third option down, which says "Itunes Store," hover over it with your mouse, and it will give you another set of options. From there, you can see the two options, "Authorize" an "Deauthorize computer. Just click on "Authorize," enter in your apple ID and password, and your computer will be authorized! I upgraded to 20gb iCloud but it isn't enough to back up. I get constant error messages saying there is no backup space and I've not been able to use the upgrade. Apple promised to refund then didn't. Please help is there anyway I can use this space?If you were told they would refund the price for the iCloud storage - Contact AppleCare and ask to speak with a senior advisor. Have the case number for the promised refund available.
If you are trying to update your device, but you don't have sufficient space to download and install the update, you need to delete content from your device. Buying storage in iCloud does not add space to the device which is what you need.
You can always update using a computer with iTunes installed - this method is faster, and will allow you to make a backup on the local computer (Local backups restore faster than iCloud backups).

I have installed the new up to date itunes which i can open on my PC, however when i connect my ipad or iphone i get an error saying i cannot use the device as the require software isn't installed?? I'm very confused please help......
Let's try a standalone Apple Mobile Device Support install. It still might not install, but fingers crossed any error messages will give us a better idea of the underlying cause of why it's not installing under normal conditions.
Download and save a copy of the iTunesSetup.exe (or iTunes64setup.exe) installer file to your hard drive:

Download and install the free trial version of WinRAR:

Right-click the iTunesSetup.exe (or iTunes64setup.exe), and select "Extract to iTunesSetup" (or "Extract to iTunes64Setup"). WinRAR will expand the contents of the file into a folder called "iTunesSetup" (or "iTunes64Setup").
Go into the folder and doubleclick the AppleMobileDeviceSupport.msi (or AppleMobileDeviceSupport64.msi) to do a standalone AMDS install.
(If it offers you the choice to remove or repair, choose "Remove", and if the uninstall goes through successfully, see if you can reinstall by doubleclicking the AppleMobileDeviceSupport.msi again.)
Does it install (or uninstall and then reinstall) properly for you? If so, can you get a normal iTunes install to go through properly now?
If instead you get an error message during the install (or uninstall), let us know what it says. (Precise text, please.)
