Installed new iPod + iTunes, closed iTunes and can't open it

I was running on 10.3.8, and QT 6.5.2 and iTunes 4.6. Installed to 10.3.9, QT 7.0, and ran the iPod installer, and installed QT 7.0.3, everything seemed to work fine. My iTunes updated and I pulled my music over to the iPod, then I ejected the ipod, checked and the music was there, then I closed out of iTunes. When I went back, I couldn't open it. When I tried it would seem like it wanted to open, but nothing would show. I would have to force quit, same thing with my QT now. If anyone can help, I would appreciate it.

I figured out something. I uninstalled my Protools and my iTunes worked, then I reinstalled QT 7.0.1. At one point, my QT read 'QT Version 7.0.3, but my player still read 6.5.2 after all the iPod updating, so I reinstalled to make both 'version' and 'player' read the same, then updated to 7.0.3 and added Pro key, and everything seems fine.

I recently installed iTunes 7.6 and at first it gave me the error message -2096. I restored my computer and tried to open iTunes and got the message saying "QuickTime unavailable. QuickTime was not found. QuickTime is require to run iTunes. Please reinstall iTunes." This happened to me when I downloaded iTunes 7.5 as well and it deleted all the songs off of my iPod for nearly a week. I'm getting very fed up with this and I was wondering if anyone else had had the same problem and could help to resolve this?

OK, I fixed it:
Find iTunes on My Computer (i think it's the C Drive but mine is on an external hard drive so I'm really not sure)
Right click on the actual file of iTunes.exe and find the compatability tab (not QuickTime, iTunes, because i know i did QuickTime before)
Unclick the box that says that you want it to run in Compatability mode.
It should work after that.

After installing Safari 4, Lost my dock and can't open files.

Hey guys. I've had my Ibookg4 around 5 years, never really had a problem with until today.
I installed Safari 4, and after installation it told me to restart, which I did. After it had restarted, I got to my desktop but I had lost my dock, and I can't open any of my applework files, (the application "AppleWorks" could not be launched because of a shared library error: "-<AppleWorks><CarbonLib><CFMPriv_CarbonCore>").

Try running "Repair Permissions" from Disk Utilities.
Have you tried opening AppleWorks from the Applications folder?
If the Program opens from the Apps folder then try trashing the
com.apple.dock.plist located in /User/Library

Given the state your device is in you have already erased your old stuff. You have an image on the screen that says, "Connect to iTunes." That's what the image means. So you will need iTunes on your computer.

I actually figured it out...I had to go to the iTunes Library Extras.itdb file and give myself permission to have full control. THEN, I could go and estore a previos version. Once I had done this, I got the same message for iTunes Library Genius.itdb . . . I did the same thing with it and Voila'!!

New Ipod Nano on Itunes but won't import songs

I just plugged my son's brand new Ipod Nano into Itunes and it appeared on the left side as David's Ipod but when I went to import songs from my library it won't allow me to do it. It has a circle with a line through it anytime I attempt to drag a song on to it. I have two other Ipods (nano and mini) and never had this happen. I installed the software that came with it before this happened. It also says something like Ipod can't be upgraded because playlists no longer exist...When I first plugged it in the Itunes said that the library was too large for the nano and that it could select the songs for me. When I said yes it started downloading all these songs from the library (songs my son didn't want). I managed to stop it by having everything deleted off the nano but now I can't import anything.
