Installer failed to initialize: link to adobe support advisor

adobe elements photoshop & premiere bundle download purchase: downloaded fine apparently, but neither will install.  The link to adobe support advisor has been disabled due to improved support at adobe.com.  I can't find any support for this at all.  So now I'm not able to download the product I bought, and there is no support to help me do it.  What's up with this?

Check the size of downloaded files.
Download the program using different   browser or Network.

    You will want to review your PDApp.log file to discover what is causing your difficulties.  The following steps can be utilized to allow you to discover your error message:
    1.  Navigate to the PDapp.log file in one of the following folders:
    Note: The following folders are hidden by default. If necessary, use Folder Options (Windows) or Terminal (Mac OS) to show hidden files.
    • Windows Vista and Windows 7: \Users\[username]\AppData\Local\Temp
    2.  Open PDapp.log in a text editor such as WordPad (Windows)
    PDapp.log records installation attempts sequentially. Each line in the log starts with a date and time stamp, which indicates when the installation was attempted. Each attempt starts with a Build Version number.
    3.  Analyze only the most recent attempt. If you can’t determine which build attempt is the most recent, delete PDapp.log and run the installer again.
    In the most recent installation attempt, look for lines identified by [ERROR] or [FATAL]. For example:
    5/1/2010 13:49:48.847 [ERROR] DWA.SystemRequirement SystemRequirements check FAILED for payload - Adobe Media Encoder CS5 PCI WRAPPER
    5/1/2010 13:49:20 [FATAL] PIM - Error could not create PIM Common Folder Path... F:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Adobe\OOBE\PDApp\
    4. Search the Adobe knowledgebase for a TechNote that provides a solution to each error message. Omit paths and machine-specific information from search strings. For the preceding errors, for example, you would search on “DWA.SystemRequirement SystemRequirements check FAILED for payload” and “PIM - Error could not create PIM Common Folder Path.”

    Danke hat sich mittlereweile erledigt.
    Ich hatte die Master Collection runtergeladen und wollte sie dann installieren. Dann kam immer die Meldung "Installer konnte nicht initialisiert werden" und der Verweis ich soll den Adobe Support Advisor herunterladen. Da es dieses Programm nicht mehr gibt habe ich stattdessen den Adobe Application Manager heruntergeladen, einen Neustart gemacht, den Application Mangaer installiert und viola, die Master Collection begann sich zu installieren.
    Also eigentlich, super, nur häng ich jetzt am nächsten Schritt: Der Installer fragt nach meiner Seriennummer. Die geb ich ein, und es heißt dann "diese Seriennummer konnte nicht überprüft werden"... ich bin am verzweifeln

  • Adobe Installer fails for all products "Installer failed to initialize.  Please download Support Adviser"

    When I attempt to perform the requested updates, I get the above error.  The link to the support adviser says it is no longer supported and refers me here.  The updater shows a half dozen things needing updating but always fails with that error.  Just migrated my products (CS5/LR/DW) to a new Win7Pro PC.
    I even manually downloaded and installed all the updates I could find but I still get asked to do about a half dozen updates and every time I run the update it downloads the updates and then fails to install them.

    hi i was using adobe cs6 suite on my toshiba windows 8 machine. i had a problem and refresh my pc.during the process, windows removed all my apps. after the refreshing, i am trying to install back my cs6 suite but anytime i try install i get this error that.."installer failed to initialize" i downloaded adobe support adviser and it said there was a bootstrapper error ans also a restart wass pending. i restarted several times even after a windows update. the proble still persistsplease can somebody help me

    In trying to install CS6 Design & Web Premium from the original disk onto a new MacBook Pro I get the dreaded Installer Failed to Initialize message. The Support Advisor could not identify any issues. I was able to install Lightroom 5 from it's disk.
    I know there have been a number of posts on the Installer Failed to Initialize but I could not find one that would help me. Is it possible to download a new installer?

    After the CD install failed with the "Installer failed to initialize" ewrror I contacted support and they gave me a download link... same error message. 

    That's strange, Are you checking at the below location ?
    Windows 7 and Windows 8 : \Users\[user name]\AppData\Local\Temp
    Run the installer again, and after error prompt, please collect the logs from TEMP folder(location stated above) and share.

    I cannot install Adobe Creative Suite 6 Design & Web Premium on my Mac OS10.9.5 because I get "Installer fails dot initialize.  Please download Adobe Support Advisor."  I click on the link and Adobe Support Advisor has been discontinued.  I sends me to support which gives me a log to look up that does not exist on my Mac.  I have installed with antivirus off, with browser closed, used Firefox, etc. and keep getting this initialization error.  PLEASE HELP!!!

    I receive a message when trying to open Photoshop CS6, Illustrator CS6, etc., then when I try to follow the directions for troubleshooting, the installer fails to initialize.
    Error message: "Adobe Application Manager is needed to resolve this problem. However it is missing or damaged". Then, after download, the program fails to load and displays this message:  "Installer failed to initialize. Please download Adobe Support Advisor to detect the problem". When following the link, Adobe Support Advisor has been discontinued 'because their products are now so stable. -I can see how stable they are.. How do I get assistance with Installer issues?

    start at the top and work your way down applying applicable fixes until your problem is resolved.

    "Installer failed to initialize. File not found." or "Installer failed to initialize. This could be due to missing files."
    first, rename OOBE Folder to OOBE.old.

    if that fails or isn't the exact error you see, uninstall, clean (http://www.adobe.com/support/contact/cscleanertool.html) and reinstall.
    if you're using a dvd to install:
    copy the disc contents to a desktop directory and install from that directory.
    if you're using a mac:
    1. Try to Create a new user account in Mac with Administrator Priviledges.
    2. Login to the New user, Navigate to Mac HD> Application> Utilities> Adobe Installer folder, Locate products like Adobe Reader, Adobe Flash, Adobe Air and un-install them
    3. Navigate to User Library> Application Support> Adobe and move Adobe to Trash.
    4. Navigate to Mac HD> Library> Application Support> Adobe and move Adobe to Trash.
    5. Start the installation again.

    That LOOKS like you are trying to install to the D drive instead of the default C drive... true?
    What happens if you install to the default C drive?
    What happens if you right click the installer and select "Run as Administrator" from the option list?
