Hi have install discs for adobe suite cs5 student addition installed on macbook pro. Recently got new iMac, would like install adobe suite on iMac. No disc drive . how do I do this? Whats the easiest way?

Downloading and isntalling are unlimited, but you can only activate it on 2 computers at any given time.

There's no 64 bit TWAIN so you need to use the 32-bit version of Photoshop. Personally I'd recommend that you use the scanner software as a standalone application and forget TWAIN, which is rapidly becoming obsolete and more or less abandoned everywhere. All it does is call up the very same scanner software, only from within the PS UI, and tying up Photoshop in the process.

Installing Adobe Photoshop CS5 in Windows 7 Home Premium 64bit

Just wanted to know if there are any problems installing Adobe Photoshop CS5 in Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit?
Planning to purchase a laptop that comes with the OEM license and plan to use 64-bit OS to maximize the 8GB RAM of memory. Just afraid if there are known issues for this type of installations.

On the contrary, subject to the image(s) being edited, Photoshop will thrive in a 64 bit Win 7 machine given the right tweaks.

Be aware that two versions of Photoshop will be installed 32 bit and 64 bit. The 32 bit is there for legacy reasons with some plugins e.g. TWAIN scanner

Works the same way. Download the CC app and install it, then take it from there after signing in. Sign out on the old machine, if you no longer use it.

Can you Install Adobe Photoshop CS5 on Win 8 with no disc.

I recently acquired a HP ENVY Touchsmart 15 Notebook PC, which comes with Windows 8. I am currently attempting to transfer my programs from my old computer (which was Windows 7) to my new computer, which includes re-installing Adobe Photoshop CS5.
However, as this computer that I currently have doesn't have a CD drive (I was not aware of this as it was a gift), I am unable to put in the CS5 installation CD. I still have all of my licensing information, though. So, that leaves me with the following questions: Is it possible to install CS5 without a disc? And if so, does Windows 8 even support CS5?

Is it possible to install Adobe Dreamweaver CS5.5 and PhotoShop 5.5 on windows 2008 R2 SP1 using Terminal services. We are planning to use xenapp to publish these application.
Please let me know if this is a supported environment.

As far as I know you will NOT be able to access OpenGL functionality through Terminal Services. as the OpenGL implementation provided in that environment is software, version 1.1 - not GPU-accelerated.
I seem to recall there was a thread about a year ago here where someone was trying to do what you are asking. I vaguely remember they were able to make it work, but I'm not sure. You might try doing a search of this forum.

The following is a general list of things you may try when the issue is not in a specific file (you may have tried/done some of them already); 1) and 2) are the easy ones for temporary strangenesses, and 3) and 4) are specifically aimed at possibly corrupt preferences); 5) is a list in itself, and 6) is the last resort.
1) Close down Illy and open again;
2) Restart the computer (you may do that up to 3 times);
3) Close down Illy and press Ctrl+Alt+Shift/Cmd+Option+Shift during startup (easy but irreversible);
4) Move the folder (follow the link with that name) with Illy closed (more tedious but also more thorough and reversible);
5) Look through and try out the relevant among the Other options (follow the link with that name, Item 7) is a list of usual suspects among other applications that may disturb and confuse Illy, Item 15) applies to CC, CS6, and maybe CS5);
Even more seriously, you may:
6) Uninstall, run the Cleaner Tool (if you have CS3/CS4/CS5/CS6/CC), and reinstall.

first thing to try is reset InDesign:
delete the preference file located here:
system > users > home folder > library > peferences > com.adobe.InDesign.plist
then repair the hard drive:
shut down the Mac
restart - then press shift key immediately after the chime
keep pressing shift untill the Apple logo appears
let the Mac boot to the desktop - it will take longer to boot as it is repairing the hard drive
when desktop appears, restart the Mac normally
