Installing Driver Software (full) for HP 4500 G510n-z

I have tried to download the software for my HP4500 G510n-z on my Fujitsu laptop running Windows 7 Professional.
Each time it comes back with the message "Installation Failed" and then starts removing the partaily installed software pieces, and starts prerparing a log for sending to HP. I have tried this several times but each time I come to the same problem point.
When I attach the printer with USB the driver downloads from the printer onto my laptop. What shows up in the control pannl is a HP printer called HP411CE2 (HP 4500 G510n-z). However, with this I can only print over my WifI but cannot control or use the scan functions. For other HP printers I get a an HP application on my desktop thru whcih I can control the sanning function, or check ink levels, etc.
Somehow, this printer has given me several problems in the past of getting disconnected from the Wifi Access Points
As other encoucntered this andif you know how to get this work can you help me with these probelms?

I understand you are unable to successfully install the software for your Officejet 4500, I'd like to help. Please complete the following steps and let me know the outcome;
Hold down the Windows Logo key () on the keyboard and the 'R' to open the run box, type %temp%
Delete all files and folders from the temp folder. Choose skip if any pop ups appear saying any of the files could not be deleted
Download the software and choose to save as, save to desktop >OJ4500vG510n-z_Full_13_en.exe
After the software downloads and extracts, open the temp folder again, use the instructions from step 1.
Look for, and open the folder starting with 7z (Example: 7zS2356)
Open folder Util
Open folder CCC
If you have an HP computer run the L3uninstall.exe. If you have anon-HP computer run the L4uninstall.exe
When the uninstall has completed restart the computer
Follow these steps to reset the registry settings and options for Windows Installer.
Hold down the Windows Logo key on the keyboard and the 'R' to open the run box
In the Open box, type msiexec /unregister, and then click OK.
Hold down the Windows Logo key on the keyboard and the 'R' to open the run box
In the Open box, type msiexec /regserver, and then click OK
*Note: there is a space between the c and the /

Run Disk cleanup from Accessories\ System Tool < How to Delete files using Disk Cleanup
Download and install the latest version of Adobe flash player http://www.adobe.com/support/flashplayer/downloads.html
Restart the computer
Download and run the HP Printer Install Wizard for Windows

Every once in a while after I turn on my laptop I get this message: "Windows needs to install driver software for your ATA Device." WTF? REALLY W-T-F? I am not computer illiterate When I reinstall the driver (from the site) it works. Then I turn on the computer and get the same message. PLEASE HELP... W-T-F?????????
The DVD player has been out of commission all of May so far. I can't stand this. What is happening?

Please. i need the firmware upgrade for Officejet 4500 G510n-z or at the original firmware. my machine is acting uncommon. The paper feeder process start and page stop in the middle.

Yes, there should have been either a firmware update/patch, or a full recall on this device.
The software setup and configuration is bad enough for one humble computer, but when used as
intended with multiple devices it's an absolute headache.
I am constantly having to unplug the printer because the machine has decided it needs to rest for a bit. Okay,
everybody deserves a break now and then. But it goes into coma mode and I could be jesus himself and the power
or any other button) still would not wake it.
I would get into the rest but I'm not getting a helpful vibe from the forum; it's more defensive of a product which, apparently just under 5000 people have come by to check on. My friend at Microsoft talked to an HP engineer, who
laughed and gave us the fix.

The quality of photo images (mostly JPG files) in printouts is awful even though the files display beautifully on the PC screen. I am using
IrfanView software for displaying/printing. As far as I can tell, IrfanView is not the problem.
When I print the same images on a Deskjet 5150 attached to a different PC also running XP Pro and IrfanView, the quality of the printouts is at
least acceptable, Some would probably say good or very good.
It's dificult to explain in words the problem with the printouts. A picture of really pretty vegetables (squashes, tomatoes, watermelon, etc) comes
out much too red. Moreover, the red, which appears shaded on the screen, seems to be all one shade in the D110a printouts.
Something similar happens to a view of a huge tree in full leaf. On screen, there are subtle variations in the "greenness" of the leaves. In the
printout, all green is the same shade. In the same printout, the trunk of the tree is all a single shade of grey. It isn;t even obvious that the
trunk is a round, solid object.
I liken the effect to audio that disappears entirely when you lower the volume and gets clipped into square waves in even moderately loud passages.
I don't know whether the D110a driver software permits adjusting the parameters that appear to be set incorrectly, and if adjustments are possible,
how I would identify which parameters to adjust, how I would access them, or how I would adjust them. I'm hoping that someone can help. Thanks.

you can't define 2 interfaces the old way (even though I saw some tricky workaround somewhere in the forums).
Use, f.e., netcfg:
Comment your old lines.
In /etc/rc.conf insert:
NETWORKS=(Eth0-dhcp Eth1-static)
DAEMONS=(..... !network @net-profiles ....)
In /etc/network.d create 2 files:
First one is named Eth0-dhcp.
Contents:
CONNECTION="ethernet"
DESCRIPTION="Whatever text"
INTERFACE=eth0
HOSTNAME="your hostname"
IP="dhcp"
DHCP_TIMEOUT=15
Second one is named Eth1-static.
Contents:
CONNECTION='ethernet'
DESCRIPTION='whatver'
INTERFACE='eth1'
HOSTNAME='hname'
IP='static'
ADDR='192.168.0.10'
GATEWAY='192.168.0.1' # your gateway IP
DNS=('192.168.0.1') # your DNS server
The names Eth0-dhcp and Eth1-static are not magic. They just must be the same in rc.conf and in /etc/network.d.

I just bought a new printer for my iMac version 10.7 but I am able to install the software but for some reason I am not able to view the printer under system preferences to add the printer. It is connected with the USB cord!!

Unable to install driver software

Hey everybody I have the n97 mini, and i have a Windows 7 professional 32bit.. had the same version of windows and had no trouble with it.. now when i re-installed everything, Ovi and the n97 mini driver software, it worked for the first time.
As for the second time, Reading the device is a success but it says "Unable to install driver software" Is there is a solution to this problem? or do i have to reinstall the windows all over again?

Launch the Console application in any of the following ways:
☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
☞ If you’re running Mac OS X 10.7 or later, open LaunchPad. Click Utilities, then Console in the page that opens.
Select "/var/log/install.log" from the file list. Post the messages from the last installation attempt, starting from the time when you launched the Installer or Software Update.
Post the log text, please, not a screenshot. If there are runs of repeated messages, post only one example of each. Don’t post many repetitions of the same message.
Important: Some private information, such as your name, may appear in the log. Edit it out by search-and-replace in a text editor before posting.

Where do I get the driver/software disk for Satellite A500/02J

Hi,
Newbie here, just want to ask, Is there a driver/software disc for the Toshiba A500/02J Notebook.
I just bought a new one, and its been formatted, so no recovery partition where the drivers would be.
I have trawled the net looking for face recognization software, etc, but to no avail.
There must be an installation disc out there some where..........
Can anyone help a newbie?

The notebook was not delivered with the recovery disk because there was a preinstalled tool called Toshiba Recovery Disk Creator.
This software would create the Recovery disk which helps to set the notebook always to the factory settings.
By the way; the Satellite A500/02J is a Toshiba Australian notebook model and the drivers should be available on the Toshiba Australian page:

"File Corrupt" error when opening Driver software for OfficeJet 4500 G510n-z

I'm trying to reinstall the software for my OfficeJet 4500 G510n-z printer and I have downloaded the drivers from the HP support site multiple times. Each time I try to open the file I get an error of "File is Corrupt" and it stops opening. I was able to eventually install the printer but not the HP Solution Software.
I am running 64-bit Windows 7.
As you can see below, I have the printer installed but not the Solution Center. How can I add the Solution Center?

Whats in the full feature driver & software download for officejet pro8600 which isn't in the basic?

Does anyone know what is in the full feature driver & software download V28.8 or for any version really other version for the matter for Officejet pro8600 ......which isn't in the basic download?
I'm running vista on an old computer and it doesn't have service pack 2 on it, which is needed for the full download feature download.
Just wondering if its worth installing service pack 2 to get better features.

For Windows Vsita any service pack is supported and you are not required to install a service pack to install the Full Feature Software, Only Windows XP require atleast Service Pack 2..
You may find the system requirements listed below:

The most important feature of the Full Feature Software is the Read Iris OCR which allow scanning to editable text or searchable PDF..

Cannot install driver software for N8-00, Windows ...

I'm having a lot of trouble getting any Nokia software to work on my PC.
(This was the same for my previous Nokia 2730.)
The first time I connected my N8-00 to my PC, running Windows Vista 32, my PC worked out it was an N8-00 and a window appeared asking me to confirm AutoPlay settings - there was a checkbox (which I checked), but no OK button.
I could go to Start > Computer and see the N8-00 there though.
I opened the device and found the Ovi Suite Installer and tried to run that (because the downloaded version didn't work either - I'll start another thread about my troubles with Ovi Suite) but it didn't work.
I then removed the phone from my PC.
Now whenever I connect my phone to my PC Windows tries to install the N8-00 drivers and fails, giving me these messages:
"Found New Hardware - Nokia N8-00"
"Windows encountered a problem installing the driver software for your device
Windows found driver software for your device but encountered an error while attempting to install it.
Nokia N8-00 USB Phone Parent
No such interface supported
If you know the manufacturer of your device, you can visit its website and check the support section for driver software."
Obviously not being able to connect my phone to my PC is very frustrating and restricts many of the features I wish to use.
Help in solving this issue would be very greatly appreciated.

Could someone of you resolve the problem about the connection of N8-00 to PC??

Need to know where I can find updated drivers for my OfficeJet 4500 G510n-z printer. I am using Windows 8.1 operating system.
I have tried using the link at HP, but at the point that it supposedly gets to the install window, it asks me to insert the disc that came with the printer. When I do that, I still get an error message saying something like "the link cannot be found." I also get another message at some pont indicating that the full version needs to be uploaded. Then, the same process starts all over again. I should add that the printer disc says that it is compatible with XP, Windows 7 and other earlier versions, but not 8 or 8.1
I have tried this 6 or 7 times with the same result. Dell (the company from which I bought the laptop) was useless and suggested I contact HP.
I can no longer scan, either, because the computer isn't recognzing that the printer has a scan function, so when I go to use PaperPort 12 to scan stuff, it doesn't recognize that a printer is attached.
Any help resolving these problems would be greatly appreciated.

Cannot complete wireless setup for Officejet 4500 G510n using HP Installer

Hi,
I hope someone can help me with this problem.
I bought an Officejet 4500 G510n and all was working fine on my old MacBook laptop. I have recently switched to a MacBook Air running OS X 10.8 and I can no longer connect wirelessly to this printer.
I have tried the following:
- resetting printer settings from OS X "Preferences" using USB cable.
- disconnecting USB cable to printer.
- downloading and installing the latest software drivers for OS X 10.8
- reconnect USB cable to printer to start printer setup.
The problem arrises when I am performing the set-up task:
- Screen shows invalid network details and gives me no option to continue.... only to go back to the previous page. I am stuck with no options at the moment.
Attached is the screen-shot of what I'm seeing.
Any help would be very grateful.

From what you describe, you are using a USB cable but the information displayed there is for wireless. What you would want to do is install the printer using the USB cable and selecting USB installation, then use the software to complete the USB to Wireless conversion.
Either this, or you can set up the printer on your wireless network using the wireless setup wizard and then install using Networked - Wireless as the installation type.

I'm trying to install the driver software to my laptop but everytime it pops up and says "Windows found driver software for your device but encountered an error while attempting to install it.
USB composite device
This operation requires an interactive window station"
So I'm not quite sure exactly what I am suppose to do here to get this rolling and would appreciate any help.
