Installing Elements 9 without a disk

Two months ago I bought a new Packard Bell notebook (Windows 7) including a installed version of Adobe Photoshop Elements 9.
As you might know you get Windows 8 cheaper if you recently bought a Windows 7-PC and I would like to use this offer now.
So my Problem is:
If I install Windows 8, is there any way to get Elements 9 working again without a DVD?
I already searched for trail versions of Elements 9 wich you can activate permanently by entering a serial key but I didn't found any.
Oh, and I haven't managed to find out my serial key yet.

You can copy the contents of the DVD to some external drive (if you can) and then install PSE9 from there.

However, the real issue is why the program is not working. Did you install anything recently?
When you tried to re-install from the disk, did you shut off the antivirus program temporarily?
Have you tried a system restore to a point in time when the program was working properly?

Tip for future reference: when buying software, always keep your serial numbers safe and handy. Don't rely on websites, the Cloud or anyone else to retrieve them for you when you need them most. They are the single most important thing you get when you buy software and they are unique to you personally.
You can download software installers from the web any time but, without your unique serial number, you'll be stuck with using the software in trial mode.

Installing Programs Without The Disk Drive Icon Loading On Desktop

I am super anal and don't like any icons on my desktop and I am wondering how, when installing programs, you can install them without the disk drive icon being left on the desktop?

Oh, right, sorry, one thing I didn't mention. I DO like to have CDs and DVDs and such show up on the desktop when I (seldomly) have them in my computer.
So, is there any other way? If I uncheck the CDs and DVDs line then this solves the disk drive icon but also gets rid of my CD icons.

Just wondering if there was any way I could install windows without the leopard disk. I'm at work right now and was hoping to install windows vista but my leopard disk is at home.

If you have a copy of Windows Vista with you, you can use Boot Camp Assistant to create a Windows partition and install Vista on it. The only point is you cannot install the necessary drivers at this time since you do not have the Leopard DVD.

How can I install CS6 without a disk drive?

Hi there!
I recently purchased the Creative Suite 6 Design and Web Premium addition.
The sales person at the store assured me that despite not having a CD drive in my Macbook Pro there would be a way to install/download the suite with the product information in the box.
So far, all I have been able to acheive is recovering my serial code. I am compeltely at a loss of how to even begin to start the install process without the a disc drive.
Is this possible or did the sales person send me down the wrong road?

How do I install Elements 10 when disk starts with ad for Premier and I can't get by ad?

I bought a Elements 10 as an upgrade to the Elements 8 loaded on my PC running Windows 8. When I put in the first disk, I got an ad to do a trial of Premier which I do not want to do. I cannot get beyone the ad to do the install. Any advice? This is a really irritating thing for Adobe to do.

A few years ago I purchased Adobe Design Premium CS3. Since then I purchased CS4 Design Standard and recently on my new iMac Pro i installed CS5 Desin Standard.
I want to reinstall Dreamweaver, from my old Design Premium CS3 bundle, on my new iMac. I have the CS3 serial but not the install disk. I don't seem to find a CS3 download on the Adobe.com website. And is it even possible to install a CS3 Dreamweaver next to my CS5 Design Standard bundle?

Old versions are not available for download, unless you purchased the download then you can re-download for up to 3 years. Something important to note is that the installer for upgrades does not require the older version of the software to be installed on your computer. As long as you have a valid serial number you should be able to install the program with the old serial number.

Yes. The only thing that cannot be done is running multiple versions of the same program at the same time, for instance Photoshop CS3 and Photoshop CS5. They would be allowed to run separately but not at simultaneously.
One thing you should note is that DW CS5.5 is part of Design Premium Suite. The $399 upgrade from your CS5 Design Standard would give you InDesign CS5.5, Photoshop Extended, Flash (Pro & Catalyst), Dreamweaver and Fireworks.

Okay...This is kind of complicated. I got Adobe Creative Suite 2 a few years ago and have been using it ever since (only the Photoshop). Then I bought a new MacBook Pro, and I want to install it on here. And the Photoshop I have is the CS2 Premium version, which comes with like 4 installation disks. So I entered one of the disks, entered the serial number, and then it said to please enter the first installation disk. Well...I don't have it anymore. I'm not really sure where it is, lost somewhere in my house. So is there anything I can do? And I no longer have access to my old computer in which it was originally installed on. HELP!

I have photoshop CS 6 for students and teachers on my computer already. I was feeling optimistic about the time and attention I would have for learning all the complications of a full version. I have used only elements in the past and have not been an advanced user at that. I need to edit some photos for school quickly. Can I install the version of elements that I already have without damaging the CS 6 version? My installation disk for CS 6 has a small crack in the center and I'm not sure if it will work again.

Yes, all versions of Adobe software install into their own separate folders on your hard drive and will happily co-exist.

Doesn't matter. You don't really need it again other than as a drink coaster. It probably contains outdated software anyway.
You can always download the CS6 installer from the Adobe website when you need to re-install CS6.

Can't install elements 13 on PC. Installer runs, psw accepted, then nothing but four squares blinking off and on.
