  • I need to install a volume license for Adobe Acrobat Pro from an old to a new computer

I need to install a volume license for Adobe Acrobat Pro from an old to a new computer
I have the correct License Key which I checked on Adobe License site but when I enter it
    is says it's incorrect

    Problem solved,
I found the original Adobe installation files on our system that we used to first intall Acrobat Pro.
Using these files with the correct volume license key we were able to install the programme on our new Computers.
I was also informed by Adobe Help that I could also download these file from the Adobe License website after logging in.
    https://licensing2.adobe.com/
Click on Licenses / Download and then Software
Hope this might help anyone else with the same problem

AMelie Eliabeth the Adobe Download Assistant can be dragged to your trash can.  There is no separate uninstaller or any other application files to remove.

  • Why does working with Stamps cause Acrobat Pro XI to crash on close

Although other people in my organization have been experiencing crashes several times a day with Acrobat Pro XI (usually from stamping PDFs and closing Acrobat), I've just started receiving crashes after working on custom Stamps. This hasn't happened before to me. What is so special about the stamps that might be causing these crashes?
Our users using Acrobat for scanning receive the crash message "Adobe Acrobat has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience."
    Any suggestions will be appreciated.
    Thanks,

Hi George - a few divisions have stamps with JavaScript to query user to enter a date and time document was stamped. Most of the users do not. Just a set of static signature and File stamps. The File stamps have fields that contain custom calculation scripts to always display the current date and time of stamping. This was never a problem in Acrobat 9 Pro, though. Some crashes have occured just scanning through Acrobat without touching the stamps. Thanks for the quick reply and would appreciate if you have any more I can look into.

  • Print multiple PDFs from Windows Explorer causes Acrobat Pro 9.4 crash

I sometimes need to create a batch of PDFs independently, after which it suits me to print them all as a single job. FYI I am running Acrobat Pro 9.4 under Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit.
The sequence of the problem as follows:
    - With Acrobat closed, I go to the directory containing my multiple PDF files using Windows Explorer.
    - I highlight between three and six PDF docs (each individual doc is small, one page, black and white only).
    - I use the "Print" option made available within Windows Explorer.
It's clear that the system then tries to use Acrobat to print these docs, however I consistently get the same behaviour - some print, some do not, but on every occasion I receive the error "Adobe Acrobat 9.4 has stopped working".
Any ideas? Annoying for a paid-for piece of pro software although, granted, not on a level with famine in the third world it would be nice to have all the functionalities working correctly. If it helps my machine spec is below.
    Thanks,
    Alastair
    SPEC:
    Dual Xeon workstation
24Gb RAM (of which 22GB available at time of error)
    Disk 1TB (RAID10) of which 920GB free
    Windows 9 Ultimate 64bit
    Acrobat Pro ver 9.4.1

It may partly be a 64-bit issue since AA is apparently a 32-bit application that can run in the 64-bit environment (not that familiar with 64-bit systems, so I may not be stating it correctly. However, I would start by going to the Control Panel>Programs and Features and do a repair on your Acrobat installation. That will hopefully resolve the issue.

  • Acrobat Pro XI and Acrobat Pro 9 Simultaneous Installation

    Greetings -
At our institution we have a contract to license Adobe Acrobat Pro XI and related projects.  I have a constituent whose computer now has Adobe Acrobat Pro XI, but he would also like to install Adobe Acrobat Pro 9.  Can both products coexist?
    Anthony -

    Hi mullenanthonyj ,
Thank you for posting on the Adobe forums, firstly you would not be able to install Acrobat 9 over Acrobat 11.
Secondly Adobe does not recommend installing two versions of Acrobat together on one system, i might create unexpected behavior in functionality
    Thanks,
    Vikrantt Singh.

  • Downgrade Acrobat Pro DC to Acrobat Pro XI

    Hi,
We buy Acrobat Pro DC version because Acrobat Pro XI was no more available.
It appears that some functionality we need on portfolio have disappeared.
What is the way to convert our Pro DC license to a Pro XI license ?
    Regards

    Hi Genievieve,
That's correct, licence for Acrobat DC will not work for Acrobat XI. I thought that you have upgraded to Acrobat DC from Acrobat XI that is the reason I provided you that link.
Acrobat DC Pro has inbuilt flash player, however it does not have features like adding a background image and slide show of portfolio documents.
Seems you will have to work with Acrobat DC Pro now.
However you can fill a feature request form at  https://www.adobe.com/cfusion/mmform/index.cfm?name=wishform

  • Flash plugin causing Firefox/opera to freeze

    Hello all,
I've got a problem. Lately when surfing flash-sites like
youtube with firefox it starts freezing (for a few seconds) when
loading. I managed to locate the problem and it was the adobe
flash-plugin. When I uninstalled the plugin I could surf those
sites without any freezes, but on the other hand I couldn't watch
the videos of course. And when I installed the plugin again the
freezes were back. I have tried reinstall Firefox countless times
and I'm using the latest version of Firefox and the flash-plugin of
course. I have also tried installing Opera and try the plugin
there, same problem. It does work in IE though. I even tried
downloading an old flash plugin version, same problem.
My computer is an Intel Core Duo 2.00GHz and 2GB RAM, Windows
XP. It has worked fine for about a year, but then suddenly after a
Windows Live Update this problem appeared.
So now my options are to either use the plugins and have
those constant freezes whenever I surf flash-sites, or unistall the
plugin again and not being able to see flash-videos. I'm really
hoping someone can help me out on this one! as I don't like either
    of those two options...
    Thanks!
    Fredrik

My problem is similar, but with the following differences:
    OS:          Windows 7 Ultimate 64-Bit
    Browsers: IE8 and Opera 11
This is a fresh install and everything was going pretty well as I began adding Microsoft Office 2003 and Adobe Acrobat 8 Pro. Then I installed Opera 11 and with it, Adove Flash Player for non-IE browser. Boom! Suddenly I start getting (not responding) messages in EVERYTHING! Opera, IE8, Windows Explorer, Office, etc. The message appears every few minutes and lasts for anywhere from a few seconds to a minute or a little more.
This is the whole reason I did the new install of Windows. I dumped the Windows.old folder as soon as I finished because I thought it might be malware. Now from what I'm reading, I'm thinking it's an Opera/Adobe Flash conflict.
    Any help?

  • "Upgrade patch cannot be installed...." for Acrobat Pro 7.05

    Hello
I have downloaded the Acrobat Professional 7.05 update patch (for Windows). According to the website, this patch will update all 7.0 and higher versions. However, when I run the update, I get the following message:
"This upgrade patch cannot be installed by the Windows Installer service because the program to be upgraded may be missing, or the upgrade patch may upgrade to a different version of the program. Verify that the program to be updated exists on your computer and that you have the correct upgrade patch."
I do have Acrobat Professional 7.0 installed, and according to the Adobe website, the 7.05 patch is the correct one. Yet, I cannot install it. Is there some step I am missing here?
    Any help would be appreciated.

You did not indicate the version you currently have installed. I generally just download all of the updates and install them in order. It is not always clear what versions are covered. In your case, it indicates that the update of 7.0.5 does cover all of the 7.0.1 to 7.0.3 updates. However, there are both Std and Pro updates. Did you download the correct one. To use the update you downloaded, you have to have one of 7.0.0 to 7.0.3 Pro installed. Is that indeed the case, or do you possibly have either a different version or Std installed? I.E., in the help menu what version does the about Acrobat tell you that is being run?

  • Can't find plugins causing AU Pro to crash on startup

To get 32-bit plugins firing on all cylinders inside Logic X i opted for the free approach which involves AU Pro.  The only problem is i can't get into AU Pro because of some old buggy plugins still hanging around my computer.
It tells me which one & their file location but i cannot actually get to the file location to delete them. See below, the file location is /Library... I've un-hidden the /Library folder but navigating through the plugin path below, the /Components folder looks empty! despite AU Pro telling me that's where my problems lie.
I've tried spotlight searches etc to find anything at all on my Mac with the word 'Sonnox' or 'DeBuzzer' but they return null.
Any idea how to actually get into this folder & delete old plugin remnants?

You are looking in the wrong library....
You are looking in the User Library....
You need to look inside the System Library which is located in the root of your System drive.....
    Example:
You need to look inside <System Drive name>/Library/Audio/Components
    and not.... <System Drive name/Users/<Your user name>/Library/Audio/Components

  • Unable to install a fresh version of ADOBE ACROBAT Pro XI

I still have an open ticket... an I still have the same issue.
Many of you are trying to help me.
Thanks... I appreciate, but would you stop telling me to:
    a) reset preferences
    b) uninstall Adobe Acrobat
    c) reinstall Acrobat
    d) restart in safe mode...
    It doesn't work.
The result is always the same, even if I tried 5 times, according to your proposals.

again, you were given problematic info from apple when you used their migration tool.

  • Myriad Pro is choking Acrobat Pro 9 (Mac)

Creating a Word document in Word 2008: Mac and using Myriad Pro as the document font. But when going to Print and "Save as PDF" and opening in Acrobat, I get the spinning rainbow and after 10 minutes have to Force Quit.  If I recast the document in Arial, there's no problem. But my communications are standardized on Myriad Pro. I didn't have a problem until a recent Update. Any thoughts?  Thanks!

    Got error message from Distiller:
%%[ Error: undefined; OffendingCommand: PK    ]%%
%%[ Flushing: rest of job (to end-of-file) will be ignored ]%%
%%[ Warning: PostScript error. No PDF file produced. ] %%
I think the point is that it was working a week ago and now it's not, yes?

  • How to add Flash CS3 Pro images to acrobat pro documents

I desparately need someone to help me. Today is 4/6/08 and I need to complete a work for my class in 2 days.
I created a video slide in Flash and I need to comment on how I did it in Acrobat. How do I bring Flash images into the Acrobat file?

Not sure I'd want to create something like that in Acrobat.
Can you create it in Word and use screen captures then PDF the end result?

Very helpful, but I couldn't see how to update the discussion further.
Sorry to bother you all!!!  When they installed the upgrade, it wiped out
my Adobe Printer, but IT is coming up to install something called Cute
PDF. They told me it should create pdf files like my old pdf printer did.
    Have a great day!!!!
