Installing NT service for app and process scheduler (Windows 2003)
I have followed the install guide instructions for creating an NT service for the process scheduler, however, whenever I attempt to start the service I receive the following warning message:
The PeopleSoft H:\apps\psoft\PT849 service on Local Computer started and then stopped. Some services stop automatically if they have no work to do, for example, the Performance Logs and Alerts service.
The service does not start properly, however when launching the services via psadmin, both the app and process scheduler processes start properly.
Any assistance would be appreciated.

I am looking for the script which will help me in doing health check-up for app server , process scheduler , web server and DB.
The script should trigger a email when any one of the domain is down and when it get up.
Waiting heartlyIf you really only want scripts you should write them yourself. If you don't understand the script how can you be expected to support it, modify it, or add new features? You don't even indicate what OS your using? I could give you a copy of a powershell script but what good is that on a linux box?
You need to identify what you really are interested in monitoring. Is it process health only? actual system integrity? Do you need to know if a process count goes under a certain threshold? Is the processes scheduler really working? Is queuing occurring somewhere? Is the web server at a critical number of open sessions? log monitoring for keywords? Do you need to actually simulate a web session which would prove the full system is working in one execution, although it won't indicate a failure will occur where some other monitoring might?
This is why the others have recommended pre-built packages that already offer most of this. If you still want scripts, gather your requirements, think about what you really need, try some stuff on your own, and if you have a specific problem with a script or how to accomplish a particular system check, post a new question, and I'll do my best to help. I think you'll get a better response from everyone if you do that. -
Seperate NT service for App server and Process Scheduler
Is it possible to create a separate NT service for App server and Process Schedule for the same environment? Everytime i need to shutdown either App Domain or Prcs Domain (not both) using service, it brings down both.
I could use psadmin but services run as a different user.
Please advise.What PeopleTools release are you using? Off the top of my head, one strategy would be to use different PS_CFG_HOMEs for the App and the Process scheduler. The service points to the PS_CFG_HOME and reads the pswinsrv.cfg file to know what to start/stop. I'm not sure there is a way to override psntsrv and tell it to use a different config file, so you may need a different HOME. You could also create a script that wraps the service start/stop. It could edit/update the config file prior to stop/start and remove Process Scheduler from the config and then reinsert it later.
You could have a stop_app/start_app and stop_prcs/start_prcs script that would copy in specific versions of the pswinsrv.cfg file for what you want to do. -

after i upgrade to a new phone, will my old 4s continue to work on wifi for apps and music only? to be used like an ipod?
The support article referenced says to insert the SIM Card from my new phone in the old phone. That won't work since I have an iPhone 5 and the iPhone 4S uses a different size SIM card.

I want to get another 4s and use it not as a phone, but only as a video camera and editor and hook it up only to wifi. i would sync it to itunes so i can pay for apps and upload. would this work, or must it be connected to a phone carrier?
Trust me when I say this coming from 20 years of experience.
Get a powered external drive, format it 1 Partition Option: GUID and OS X Extended Journed as the format in Disk Utility.
Download and install Carbon Copy Cloner, clone internal drive to external drive.
Set a schedule to remind you to do it at least once a week, keep it near your charger.
When you plug your charger in, do plug the clone and power the machine up, set the display to sleep only,
CCC will do the rest.
If you want to boot from it, hold the option/alt and select it Startup Manager.
I've seen many TimeMachine and TimeCapsule nightmares and so far haven't seen a problem from anyone using a bootable clone.
It's simple, it's easy, it's more reliable and more powerful than what Apple does and it only takes plugging in a extra cable.
Make as many clones as you want, keep them time seperated, off site etc. etc.
Cables don't have network issues, clones can be verified in seconds merely by booting from them.
Clones protect your productivity, your up in seconds on a clone despite even the hard drive dying.
Software problem? No sweat, boot of the clone and reverse clone your problems away.
If you want to fuss and muss with half implemented TimeMachine and TimeCapsule network headaches then prepare to suffer.
I don't like to suffer, I bought a Mac not to suffer, but it appears you do with TimeMachine and TimeCapsule.

My question today is quite simple. I use one account for apps and tv shows, but inwant to use a different itunes account for purchasing itunes match. How can I use them both on my devices? Will it be asking for my user-pass each time i play a song? What other thing should i consider?

I have played with this issue a lot. You have to remain signed into match in order for it to show up on your phone. If you sign out to purchase an app or redownload one from your appstore id you use then match will be removed from your phone and when you go into your music app the icloud will not be there. You then have to go sign back out of the store id you used for your app purchase and then sign back into match and everything will have to go though the download to your device process again. This really is not what you want to do.
Sign up to match with the apple id that you know you will use the most or has the most purchased items and use that for all purchases, i.e. books, apps, movies, and music. You don't want to go though the other process.
Plus apple will start not letting you sign into match because you signed out and back in, in to short a period of time.
all store purchases on an iphone are linked to the store id. if you sign out of your match id on the appstore and sign into another account to purchase an app then itunes match will sign out in the music app. You can't have two store id's signed into your iphone at the same time. They are all linked together. -
Error while Installing Oracle Services for Microsoft Transaction Server
I downloaded "Oracle9i Database Release 2 Enterprise/Standard/Personal Edition for Windows NT/2000/XP" and installed the personal edition. It did not install successfully and gave this error message:

The installation of Oracle 9i Database was unsuccessful
The Integration tools and client installed just fine from the same download. Why didn't the database install successfully? All the other components seemed to install just fine and the database appeared to be created - but I could not open it and there was not start menu option for DBA Studio.
I am running Windows 2000 professional with Service Pack 3 on a 2 GHz Pentium4 machine with 512MB Rambus RAM, 32bit color graphics ATI All-in-Wonder card, about 40GB of disk space, a local peer-to-peer network via cat5 cable to another Win2k P3 machine, and Creative Soundblaster Audigy card. Do I need to adjust any network settings? Would it help or hinder if I installed MS IIS? WinNT has a Microsoft Transaction Server (MTS) but Win2k has COM+ instead; does that make a difference in terms of the installer looking for MTS? 1. I am installing Oracle 10.2.01 Database(Not Client) on my windows Xp laptop. While installation i Choose the custom option and Check the Oracle Windows Interface. Oracle Services for Microsoft Transaction server it gives an error saying that "Microsoft Transaction server" was not found on the system.
I had previously installed the same on my laptop and it was working fine. but after uninstallation when i try to re install i get this problem.
If i go to the services.msc option in windows i still see the OracleMTSRecoveryService option even when i have uninstalled oracle. But when i try to start the services i get the following error
Could Not start the OracleMTSRecoveryService on the local computer.
Error 3: The system cannot find the file specified.
Any help on how to resolve this issue will be highly appreciated -
Hello everyone, Very recently itunes on my windows computer does not let me access any items in my Library except for "Apps" and "Ringtones". When I click on any other items it flashes the redcircle meaning forbidden".
When I connect my iPhone or iPad I can see every items on them but not on the iTunes Library.
They sync fine with iTunes.
I browse all the menus in iTunes but cannot find any clues to what I have done for it to happen. It worked fine previously.

They would only be where you put them. What program did you use to import them? Pics/vids taken with ipod are not part of the sync process at all. You should be importing them just as you would with any digital camera.
If you did not import them, then they are not on your computer. -

Cannot install latest updates for Bridge and Photoshop CC. I get the following message: "Update Failed. The download appears corrupted. U43M1D207."
I have tried to install at different times over three different days with the same result each time. My version of Bridge now no longer shows DNG files except as an icon. The update is supposed to install Camera Raw version 9.I had the 204 version of your error using the direct download links proved on this thread solved my problem.. hope you have same success... had to log off/in cloud manager before it showed all apps updated
