Installing photoshop cs5 to second computer

It's my understanding that the photoshop CS5 program I purchased a couple years ago can be used on two computers & I have only ever used it (rarely) on my macbook pro where it is currently installed - I have recently purchased an iMac and would like to know how I can transfer or install my purchased photoshop CS5 to my new computer since I only ever used it on one computer, my macbook, before. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I have signed up for a photoshop online class later this month and really want the program on my new iMac for leaning. Please Help!

You can install PS on two computers. I don't know about the Mac OS to know it CS5 is compatible, but if it is, you should be able to just install it as you did on your first computer.

If retail CS6 Serial Number then you can do licensed install on two systems same platform(Win or Mac). This depends for which platform you bought the SN for.

Re installed photoshop CS5 onto new computer & now plug ins won't work?

I recently bought a new computer & re-installed photoshop CS5.1 successfully, but can't get the plug ins to work (phototools 2.5 & perfect effects 3, which were a free download with purchase). I am running windows 7 64bit. I copied & pasted them into the plug ins folder (in both applications of photoshop - there is the 32 bit version on 'program files (x86)' & the 64 bit version in 'program files'), but neither will work.

You probably won't get those plugins to work by just copying them.
I'd remove the plugins that you copied and pasted and use the phototools 2.5 & perfect effects 3 plugin installers, as they probably install some other files besides just the plugin itself.

This can happen when something like a spyware / Trojan / adware checker is over cautious. In my case it turned out that Spybot search and destroy was being over cautious.
If this is what has happened to you you can try temporarily disabling your hosts file in the following way. This is assuming Windows 7 (you haven't said which version of Windows you are running).
Navigate to the following folder:-
%systemroot%\system32\drivers\etc\
In my case this would be
C:\system32\drivers\etc\
Rename the file "hosts" to something else (in my case I called it "hosts - copy" but you can call it anything).
Try your activation again.
Then go back and change the hosts file back to its original name.
This might solve your problem.

I just got my second computer, and I want to get my photshop CS5 onto it. I can only find CS6 for download on the genreal website, and in the my orders section, I see my CS5 and the serial number, but there is no way to download it! Help please.

I have photoshop on a computer that is about to die and I downloaded it online so I don't have the original disks to put photoshop on my new computer how can I download it again or do I have to pay for another copy?

For future reference you are allowed to install and activate Photoshop on two computers for your own use. In this case you would want to deactivate off the old computer before it dies.

I have Creative Cloud and I have already sucessfully installed Indesign, Illustrator and Photoshop on one computer.
I have recently upgraded and have a new computer, I know you can licence two computers. I have managed to install Indesign and Illustrator with no problems but there is no option to install Photoshop. How can I remedy this?

We cannot know. You are not providing any system info or giving us an exact error. PS not making a show has nothing to do with the licensing, it's some sort of technical problem, but you realyl need to provide a lot more details and explain better.

You can activate the software for use on a maximum of two computers at any given time.

Installing Photoshop CS5 on another computer

Do I need to deinstall on the lap top that I have CS5 on and then reinstall on the new computer? I downloaded from the web site. I do have the serial number but I don't know if I can have this on multiple units in my home or if I needed to remove it and then reinstall. Any help would be appreciated.

You can activate the Adobe software on 2 computers but cannot use Adobe software on both computer at the same time.
It is stated in the EULA.

Touble re-installing Photoshop CS5

When re-installing Photoshop CS5 on my computer from, http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-suite/kb/cs5-product-downloads.html, I get an error message saying "the following disk images coudn't be opened" with the reason being, image not recognized. I used the same site and for Dreamweaver CS5 and it worked just fine.
Any suggestions?

Installed Photoshop CS5 - Premiere Elements and Organiser now Crashes

I've just installed Photoshop CS5 on my computer which alreadys had Premeire Elements 9 on.
Initially when I tried to launch Photoshop I got a crash to do with the scriptingsupport.8li which was resolved by disabling the plugin, however now when I try to launch Premiere Elements or the Elements Organiser, I get a windows error box.
Premiere Elements 9 is crashing due to a problem with WS.dll. I've tried restoring the dll from the original cab folder and checking for updates and installing the latest ones but still the problem persists.
Any ideas on how I can solve it?
