Installing PSE 12 on my Mac.

I just bought the software of PSE 12_NL. But I can not install it on my Mac. Can someone help me?
I have to install it on my Imac and then share so I can use it on my MacBook Air.

photoshop elements is dual platform so your serial number for windows should work with the mac. just download the mac installation file and install with your serial number,

How do I install PSE 10 on Mac OSx 10.9.1?

My DVD drive is bad, so I mounted the Mac version of PSE 10 on a Windows DVD and shared it. When I run the installer I get the following message - Installer failed to initialize. Please download the Adobe Support Advisor to detect the problem. When I run the Support Advisor I get the following - Inspection could not identify any issues. How do I install PSE 11 on Mac OS 10.8.2?

I uninstalled PSE 10 on Mac OS 10.8.2 using Adobe's Application Manager. But how do I install PSE 11? I only see ".exe" files.

I was finally able to get PSE 11 to install by downloading the free trial. But first, I had to upgrade Adobe's Application Manager. I was then able to use the serial number contained in the confirmation email Adobe sent me from when I purchased it online.
Adobe sure makes it difficult to spend my hard-earned money!

There is not really anything actionable within the portion of the log you have provided. I would recommend you begin by downloading the Adobe Support Advisor to analyze your log files. Installing PSE 12 on Mac and PC

Hello, I'm planning to buy the Photoshop Elements DVD for Mac/PC. As far as I found out in the EULA it is possible to intall the software twice (but use only one installation at a time):
"2.1.3 Portable or Home Computer Use. ... may install a second copy of the Software for his or her exclusive use on either a portable Computer ..."
But then I find this section as well und the EULA:
"2.1.5 Dual Boot Platform. The Software is licensed for use on a specific operating system platform. Customer must purchase a separate licsense for use of the Software on each operating system platform..."
I would like to know whether I can install PSE 12 on my PC (Windows) and on my Macbook (OS X) and use the installations alternately - or not? 2.1.3 means yes - additional installation on a mobile device is allowed but 2.1.5 says no - intallation on different OS is not allowed.... ?!?
Has anyone experiences with this combination?

You are permitted two activations; so no problem. I’m running PSE12 on Windows 7 and OSX 10.9.
Shop around as good discounts can usually be obtained when PSE13 is likely to be out soon. Or if you are not in a hurry wait for the new version and use the PSE12 free trial for 30 days.

Installing PSE 6 for Mac trial

I've just downloaded the trial of PSE for a looksee, but during the installation I get a prompt to insert a Fireworks CS4 disc....
Any clue as to why that should be, and how I can get around it to try PSE?

This might sound foolish, but in case you are having the disk of Fireworks CS4, then your problem should be resolved.
If not then, This issue could be coming because you are trying to install older version of Adobe product on a newer version version of another adobe product.
You can try uninstalling both and then install PSE 6 first and then install Fireworks CS4, this way it should be fine.

Unable to Install PSE 9 on Mac

Hello all,
I brought Roxio 11 Pro and it has a full version of PSE 9 included with it. After downloading and going through the install process it freezes then crashes after the registration phase (I have an Adobe Account).
I then downloaded from Adobe and tried to install both as a regsitered item and as a trial and neither get past the login to register phase of the process.
I am using MacOS 10.6.6 with 8Gb RAM and 500Gb HDD on a Macbook Pro.
Any ideas?

I don't know if it will help but whenever I have a problem with a program on my Mac I remove it and it's files with AppCleaner .All you do is drag the PSE9 icon in to Appcleaner and It finds all the associated files and bins them for you which hopefully will allow you a clean install to try again , plus it's free .

PSE 6 for Mac: Only have one shape in the Cookie Cutter tool

I just installed PSE 6 for Mac and am getting familiar with it. When I tried to use the Cookie Cutter tool, I have no choices (no black arrow next to the star in the toolbar) and it always is a 'heart' (cute, but was hoping for more choices). Any suggestions on why this is, and how to repair? Thanks in advance for any help...

Had PSE 8 installed on PC Windows 7 with a catalog backup on an external drive. Now have a Mac with OS Mavericks. If I install PSE 12 or Lightroom on this Mac can I use the cat. backup from Windows or must I start from scratch

If you made a full catalog backup using the organizer's backup command, and you did it to a removable drive, yes, you can restore it to the mac. A backup made on discs will not work, though.

PSE 8 for Mac won't Install; running Snow Leopard 10.6.2

When PSE 8 was released for the Mac, I bought a copy from Amazon. I am running Snow Leopard 10.6.2 on two 24" iMacs and one MBP 15.3. The Adobe installer would hang about three quarters through the installation. I'm running PSE 6 for Mac without a problem. I returned the software to Amazon without a problem.
A month or two later I downloaded a trial version from Adobe's web site thinking perhaps the DVD I had gotten from Amazon was possibly defective. Nope. Same problem trying the trial version. It just hung about three quarters through the install on all three machines.
I'm running Photoshop Extended CS 3 with Snow Leopard and have no problems.
What gives?

I wouldn't know. The first copy I bought from Amazon and returned. The second one was downloaded from your web site as a trial and I removed all the bits and pieces after killing an hour with the installer. I didn't think I could download the trial version a second time.
I'm using a Mac with Snow Leopard 10.6.2. My Photoshop Extended CSS3 and PSE 6 work just fine. I'm afraid that if I deleted all you had suggested, I would have trouble reinstalling the two apps I just mentioned. From what I've read on various forums,, Mac users (not all) are still having difficulty installing PSE 8.
BTW, this is the only app I've had any problem installing on my system. I deliberately waited for v. 10.6.2 to install the newer OS as there were earlier incompatibilities.

Can I run PSE 8 with Mac OS X 10.8.2? Install hangs at 'checking system profile'

I had to replace my iMac hard drive a few months ago and installed Mac OS X 10.8.2 (having been running something a bit older). I have just tried to install PSE 8 from disc (which worked quite happily on my earlier OS X version) and it hangs when the install gets to 'checking system profile'. Should it install or do I need to get a later version of PSE?

Don't think that this will work, despite PSE 8 not being that old. Undoubtedly some of the security and file system changes in OSX 10.7 and 10.8 are at play here thast the installer can't cope with... Consider getting PSE 11.

PSE 8 for Mac stuck on "preparing to install"

Just received the disk of PSE 8 for Mac as a present. I try to install and it gets stuck on "preparing to install."
Equipment: MacBook Pro Running 10.6.2
Have Lightroom 2, Lightrroom 3 Beta, Acrobat 8 Pro, Flash Player and Community Help Client
Previously i bought and downloaded PSE 8 but I had the same issue. I 'returned it" and got my money back.
Ideas please?

Copying the text from your post on the other thread which really helped in understanding this issue:

Your issue is definately different than the one which could have been resolved by the Tech Doc link which I sent you earlier, actually there are two time the string "Preparing to install.." is shown during the installer workflow, first during the initialization process before the Welcome Screen is shown to the user and second for 1-2 seconds between the transition of user clicking on Install button and Progress Bar being shown to the user. Since, in your case, installer is stucking at Progress bar, the Preparing to Install string is visible evidently to you. A screenshot would have been really helpful in understanding this issue. My bad I should have asked for it...
Regarding the current situation, the workaround here with which Barbara tried to help you, will not work, because your's is very specific and rare issue which we have seen reported only once before on the forum, so I am sure we will get it sorted out.Please follow the below steps:
1. Go inside the <Macintosh HD>\Applications\Utilities\Adobe Installers\ folder.
2. If there are any uninstall alias of Adobe sub components like ESTK, Extension Manager, Bridge, Adobe Updater, etc, then please invoke that installer and uninstall all those sub components.
3. Now try to install PSE 8 again.
4. If it still doesnt work, then please run the CS4 clean up script for Mac, and select CS4 from the drop down and let me know what all applications it is listing in it as available for cleaning/deleting.
