Installing SAP IDES on personal laptop

Dear All,
I would like to install SAP IDES on my laptop so as to do some testing at my home during weekends.
Could someone provide me a detailed insight as to the following:
1) Is there any service provider in Bangalore to do IDES installation on personal laptop?
2) How much it would cost?
3) Minimum system requirements in laptop.
4) How much of additional Hard disk space is required so that the laptop performance after installation of IDES doesn't come down.
Please feel free to call me if some one has already done the IDES installation on personal laptop.

This is Sourav from Kolkata. I did a course in SAP from kolkata and is going to install IDES in a laptop. I have got an acer laptop with the following config:
Core 2 Duo processor 1.73 GHz.
1 GB RAM
160 GB HDD
DVD writer
Price is around 40500/-
One thing i would like to suggest u, install the version 4.6, don't go for 4.7 as it has some problems. The installation may fail as it s a tedious process. Also an expert would do the installation.
Further SAP requires 80 GB space. So better u take a 160 GB m/C for better performance and 1GB ram.

I'm installing SAP IDES 6.00 in VMWare with Win Server 2003, 2GB RAM. My laptop Spec are 4GB RAM, Core2Duo. I'm installing SAP 6.00 in external hard drive 1 TB. I have been trying for 5 times. Do you think we can run SAP 6.00 in VMware? i want to install SCM too. it is better SCM 5.0 with IDES 4.71 or 6? Does anyone here ever try IDES 4.71 in Win XP Pro SP2? I read from other forum, SAP IDES 6.00 can run in Win XP Pro SP3

Yes - but not vice versa. Oracle does not allow running databases on VMWare:

Apart from that you should just read what you posted as error message:

I'm trying to install SAP IDES 2005 SR2 on my notebook HP (2GB RAM, 120GB HDD, 700 HDD external, dual core procesor), Win Server 2003 Enterpise, Oracle 10g (patch 2), jave 1.4.2.13, I've downloaded all installation files DVDs from SAP Marketplace.
Everytime my installations stops on step 19 - Import ABAP, and I get message like this:

I am trying to install SAP IDES 4.7 2.00 on CentOS 4.5 box (RHEL 4 compatible). I already succeded installing central instance. I got stuck when proceed installing Oracle 9.2 on it.
I am using Oracle version from SAP website (I download it).

How can I increase speed when using SAP application.

I've not done it yet with 11g, but prior editions, there are 3 things that have to be done to eradicate an oracle client installation from Windows, after running uninstaller
1) delete the registry key HKLM\software\oracle
2) delete the ORACLE_HOME directory from the file system
3) delete c:\Program Files\oracle

I have checked the DPS in regedit (the DPS folder exists with lots of keys in it), Im using DLINK Gigabit adapter, and also vmware+NOD32 Antivirus is installed on the Server. I tried after disabling the Antivirus but no chance. Help is required.

During the installation, the sapinst ask for the kernel disc, when i show the folder with the kernel data, it gives me this error
You entered G:\Kernel_640_MSSQL_Server found label MSSQL:AKK:6.40:DVD_KERNEL:SAP Kernel 6.40 MS SQL Server: CD51030771 but need the label MSSQL:AKK:6.40:UKERNEL:*.amd64
The Media of the kernel downloaded is:

Can you help me with this error? where can i find the correct media for our installation?

I´m downloading the media you suggested, 51031282 , but since my conection is very slow it will take some time to complete.
This Kernel is UNICODE (51031282)?

I will install an ABAP only instance of the IDES (NON-UNICODE) in a separated DB instance

Installing SAP 4.7X200 in Laptop

I want to install SAP 4.7 X 200 ver -windows 2003 OS in my IBM Lapton with MSSQL Server 2000 database , I have 512 MB Ram and 90GB hardisk ,, 1.7GB processor.
So could anyone tell me how to proceed step by step and install SAP Database and Application server on laptop
I have all available CD's with me but need some help to install SAP.

-> get the appropriate installation guide from sapnet
-> do not ask to get it mailed...
-> have a look at this thread sap installation
roughly explained:
-> set up your box (eg. os and relevant prerequisites)
-> install database software
-> install central instance
-> install database instance
-> perform post installation steps

Installing EBS on a personal laptop

I want to install either Release 12, 11.5.10 or both onto my personal laptop so that I can play around with the configuration and Oracle's standard 'Vision' data as part of my certification preparation. I'm a functional consultant and have no database experience so am looking for a few tips on how to go about this.
I understand I need to install a series of disks in the correct order but are there any other general guidelines? Can anyone also let me know what the minimum laptop spec needs to be to get a decent level of performance? I have been told I need a around 3GB memory (but if I can get away with less let me know), and around 250GB of free disk space, which I plan to tackle by getting an external hard drive. I also plan to use Windows XP.
Your help is greatly appreciated.

I am SAP certified professional and wanted to install IDES on my computer.
I went in service.sap.com -> Downloads -> Software Distribution Center -> Entry by application group and SAP Netweaver.
It says no Data Available.
Where can i find IDES 4.7.
