Interconnecting DME and CM

I am trying to locate a doc on connecting my present CME systems to my CM system. How hard is this? Does anyone have any good links.

Hi Anthoney,
This doc shows the integration steps;

  • DME and FI posting not in balance.

    Hello Experts,
Can any one please provide information on DME and FI posting not in balance.
We are working on Concurrent employment, my client have problem with in balance amounts.
Like GL account we run 10 batches together and compare with DME and we find lots of difference between two.
We run wage type report also and again we find difference too.
Please provide your adivse and suggestions how to over come with this situation. We want to get balance between DME and FI postings.
    Thanks,

    hello parul,
For the error "status object is not assign to status profile"  check wether the status profile is assigned to that WBS. If not then assign the status profile to it.
If still the problem exists then check in status profile transaction OK02 for that perticular user status in object type WBS element is selected or not.
Also check whether system status of your WBS element is Released.

  • Interconnect Repository and Adapters going down frequently

    Hi,
We are using 9iAs interconnect as messaging middleware between Oracle applications CRM and Main frames systems.
The 9iAs repository and adapters (DB and http) are going down frequently in Production environment.
Every time we had an issue of servers going down, we used to restart them.
Sometimes they are working fine after the first bounce; otherwise we are bouncing them again.
    The behavior is very intermittent.
We need some suggestions on the following:
Is there any potential risk involved if we bounce the 9iAs interconnect repository and adapters daily?
Will there be any impact in the performance if we enable the log level to verbose for all the adapters? (As of now, the log level is set to log only errors)
Any help in this regard is much appreciated
    Thanks,

  • How to check interconnect load and health in RAC environments

I have setup the 2 node RAC (10.2.0.4.0) in Enterprise Linux 5.2. How can I check the load on interconnect. Interconnect NIC are not using bonding but are in full duplex mode.
    Thanks
    Naveed

    Hi Naveed
You can control that by doing the following queries
Measure the latency of the interconnect:
    set numwidth 20
column "AVG CR BLOCK RECEIVE TIME (ms)" format 9999999.9
    select
    b1.inst_id,
    b2.value "GCS CR BLOCKS RECEIVED",
b1.value "GCS CR BLOCK RECEIVE TIME",
((b1.value/b2.value) * 10) "AVG CR BLOCK RECEIVE TIME (ms)"
    from gv$sysstat b1,
    gv$sysstat b2
where b1.name='gc cr block receive time'
    and b2.name='gc cr blocks received'
    and b1.inst_id=b2.inst_id;
Your latency should be lower than 16ms
    The load btw the instances;
set pagesize 60 space 2 numwidth 8 linesize 132 verify off feedback off
column service_name format a20 truncated heading 'Service'
column instance_name heading 'Instance' format a10
    column service_time heading 'Service Time|mSec/Call' format 999999999
    select service_name,
    instance_name,
    elapsedpercall service_time,
    cpupercall cpu_time,
    dbtimepercall db_time,
    callspersec throughput
    from gv$instance gvi,
    gv$active_services gvas,
    gv$servicemetric gvsm
    where gvas.inst_id=gvsm.inst_id
    and gvas.name_hash=gvsm.service_name_hash
    and gvi.inst_id=gvsm.inst_id
    and gvsm.group_id=10
    order by
    service_name,

  • What is the difference between DME and forms (smartform, sapscript)?

rfumsv00 program doesnot give me the option to output data onto standard SAP forms for India butit gives me an option to generate DME files. Does that mean I can generate the form required as per legal reqiurements using DME?Will the output of the DME be just like the form output? How to view a DME output?

    Goutham,
Please go through the Dev guide initial chapters and most of your queries should be answered. In short, OAF scores over forms majorly becauase the pages created in OAF are considerably lighter if they had been created using Forms developer. All you need is to share a URL to your clients and they can access the pages without installing anything else on their machines. OAF has its own implementation of most of the functionalities provided by forms. In this way it is able to provide an alternative. The details can be sought from the guide.

  • Data Centre Interconnection - firewall and load balancer deployment

    Hi all,
I've read lots of Cisco docs/white papers on DCI - Layer 2 extension between DCs, but as yet I cannot find any decent information on how best to deploy firewalls and load balancers in such a design. I've seen refs to FHRP isolation on Nexus 7k (and possible 6k if you use DCI block) but nothing on the services elements.
The services element seems to be a complete minefield here:
    - active/standby across sites, or deploy resilient pairs in each site?
    - how to align optimal traffic flows inbound and ooutbound (RHI, SNAT, etc.)
    - best practice suggestions ideally.
Cisco DCI docs seem to always gloss over the fact that most customers would have to deal with firewalls and load balancers here, and simply refer to 'coming soon' for that info.
If anyone has any good suggestions/links to docs explaining detailed implementation info would be much appreciate
    Thanks

  • Problem interconnecting MDS9124 and MDS9120

    Hello
We are trying to connect  2 SAN switches .  Details :
cisco MDS 9124 (1 Slot) Chassis
    Model number is DS-C9124-K9-SUP
Cisco Nexus Operating System (NX-OS) Software
    Software
      BIOS:      version 1.0.19
      loader:    version N/A
      kickstart: version 5.0(1a)
      system:    version 5.0(1a)
    cisco MDS 9100
    Model number is DS-C9120-K9-SUP
Cisco Storage Area Networking Operating System (SAN-OS) Software
    Software
      BIOS:      version 1.1.0
      loader:    version 1.2(2)
      kickstart: version 3.3(5)
      system:    version 3.3(5)
We want to make the  9124 an expansion of the 9120.  Therefore we want to define 2 ports in each switch to mode E, and make an ISL link.
The problem : when we try to define the E port, we get an error :
    SW_A(config-if)# switchport mode E
fc1/6: (error) mode E allowed only for interface fc1/5 in group fc1/5-8
We don't want to define port fc1/5  in mode E, because , if we do that port 6,7,8 become unusable.
    Any suggestions ?
    Thank you.

    Hi,
The 9120 has a hardware limitation.
    http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/storage/san_switches/mds9000/sw/rel_3_x/configuration/guides/cli_3_3/intf.html#wp1242298
In the Cisco MDS 9100 Series, the left most groups of ports outlined in white (4 ports in the 9120 switch and 8 ports in the 9140 switch) are full line rate like the 16-port switching module. The other ports (16 ports in the 9120 switch and 32 ports in the 9140 switch) are host-optimized like the 32-port switching module. Each group of 4 host-optimized ports have the same rules as for the 32-port switching module.
When configuring these host-optimized ports, the following port mode guidelines apply:
You can configure only the first port in each 4-port group (for example, the first port in ports 1-4, the fifth port in ports 5-8 and so on) as an E port. If the first port in the group is configured as an E port, the other three ports in each group (ports 2-4, 6-8 and so on) are not usable and remain shutdown.
Since the 9120 (Gen1) is attaching to the 9124 (Gen2), keep this in mind.
    http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/switches/datacenter/mds9000/sw/5_0/release/notes/nxos/mds_nxos_rel_notes_501a.html#wp419251
When a Cisco or other vendor switch port is connected to a Generation 1 module port (ISL connection), the receive buffer-to-buffer credit of the port connected to a Generation 1 module port should not exceed 255.
On the 9124, you may have to configure the interface as...
    switchport fcrxbbcredit 255

  • Idoc  and  DME  difference

    Hi
Please  explain me the difference   between  idoc and  the  method of  sending file to bank  using dme engine.
I   tried  reading the notes in  sap library. But  I am confused.
    1) When  do you use idoc . In  what  scenarios
    2) When do you  use  the PMW, where you  create formats using  DME engine.
    Thanks
    kamala

    Hi
First of all please note that there are many ways of communicating with banks. You can send the payment file through various means - DME, IDOC, using PI etc.
IDOC means an Intermediate document for transferring data of a business. It means that you will configure the way the file should look in an IDOC and send the file to bank. However, for every file, it creates a new IDOC. Moreover, the banks must be able to support IDOC.
DME is Data Medium Exchange, just another method of communication. However, it is the most frequently accepted technique. PMW (Payment Medium Workbench) is a technique, for maintaining the formats and variants pertaining to DME. DME is more of a flat file which downloads to a specified location. There are few standard DME's available, or if you need some customization, you can create your own fie using DMEE. You can access more about DME and PMW using the following T Codes - OBPM1, OBPM2, OBPM3, OBPM4 & DMEE.
To sum up, it all boils down to the client businness requirements and the various facilities banks offer to receive files.

  • Error message when using AXI Interconnect core between AXI4 and AXI4-Lite

    Hello,
I am trying to connect an AXI4-Master to an AXI4-Lite slave, and as far as i have understood so far i need to use the AXI Interconnect IP module from xilinx to make the interface conversion.
I have connected modules using the AXI Interconnect block and can synthesize without problems. However when running implement design i get the following error
ERROR: [Opt 31-67] Problem: A LUT2 cell in the design is missing a connection on input pin I0, which is used by the LUT equation. This pin has either been left unconnected in the design or the connection was removed due to the trimming of unused logic. Resolution: Please review the preceding OPT INFO messages that detail what has been trimmed in the design to determine if the removal of unused logic is causing this error. I am new to this, so i hope you can point me in the right direction on how to solve this issue.
    Best regards,

    Hi,
The first step is to check if the net is connected or not connected in the design, for which you can open the synthesized design and check connectivity.
WARNING: [Opt 31-155] Driverless net IPAXI0/axiinterconnect/inst/axi_interconnect_inst/si_converter_bank/gen_conv_slot[0].gen_downsizer.downsizer_inst/USE_READ.read_addr_inst

    /gen_conv_slot[0].gen_downsizer.downsizer_inst/USE_READ.read_addr_inst/USE_BURSTS.cmd_queue/inst/S00_AXI_RLAST_INST_0
Review the connectivity of the Interconnect and see if this valid.Do you have any critical warnings listed on the design ?
What is the Vivado version you are using?

  • FAS3220 and FAS2240 direct attach on fabric interconnect 6296UP

    Hello everybody
    I have the following architecture
    1 Cisco Catalyst 6509-E
    1 Cisco Catalyst 3560-x
    2 Fabric Interconnect 6296UP
    1 FAS 3220 (principal storage)
    1 FAS2240 (vault backup)
    1 chasis cisco UCS 5108
5 blade servers Cisco UCS B200M3
    Firmware version: 2.2(3c)
Fabric Interconnect are direct attach on fabric interconnect 6296up and the ports are configurated as FC storage ports
    My question is the following:
Can I zoning fabric interconnect with FAS3220 and FAS2240?
Can I present LUNS of FAS2240 and FAS3220 at the same time on the same boot policy, same san boot policy, and the same organization?
    Thanks for your help

Well, even if that was possible. You're accounting for a critical failure - i.e. a failure of two redundant devices (both 3220s, which I would have assume would be running in a cluster ... or 7mode).
While just upstream you have a single cat 6500 - which would be a single point of failure.
Logic would dictate to account for a single device failure all across the path before looking into multi-device failure.

  • Can I configure FCoE between UCS Fiber Interconnect and Nexus 5k?

    Hello,
I have 2 UCS with 2 pair of Fiber interconnect 6120XP and they are conencted to Nexus 5k. Currently 10Gig Ethernet and FC are used for connectvity. I have 8 port FC module in Nexus 5k. Storage is connected to Nexus 5k over FC. I would like to change the FI to Nexus 5K connectvity and configurtation  with FCoE so that I can get few more free FC ports for stoarge connecting. Could you please help me whether it is possible with Nexus OS version 5 and how do we do this?
    Thanks.

What storage are you using and is it capable of running a CNA?
If so, one configuration I have used to reduce ports out of the storage and reduce the need for a high density of FC ports is to run FCoE from Storage to 5k, then trad FC from 5k to FI.
With the 5k acting as a bridge between FCoE and FC you don't hit the single-hop limitations that currently exist within the protocol.

  • MacBook Pro and External Enclosures

Just now updating from a PowerBook G4 to a brand new MacBook Pro...
I understand there may (will) be issues with trying to use FCP with Mavericks, but I'm really not wanting to switch to FCP X.
I would like to get a two-bay external enclosure to use with the new MBP. Can anyone offer suggestions? Does it need to be Thunderbolt to get the most out of my editing? And which drives would you suggest?
And do I REALLY need to migrate to FCP X? I'm currently editing with FCP 7 on my office MacPro. So if I do offline work on the MBP and then finish projects on the office MacPro, it makes sense to me to try to stick with FCP 7 for the workflow.
    Thanks for listening...

For an external enclosure, I like this:
    http://www.caldigit.com/T3/
    or something from:
    http://www.macgurus.com/store/Category/SATAEnclosures
Go with thunderbolt if you can afford it, you want the fastest interconnection possible and it certainly is an easy connection to your computer. If you are goiing with an eSata enclosure, you will need to look at a Thunderbolt PCIe Card box so you can put in a eSata raid card.
USB3 is also worth looking at, although I have had some problems with USB3 using port multiplied enclosures.
As Mr. Ross points out, there are options - including staying with FCP-7. The problem is that production world is changing at hyper-speed, and FCP-7 was killed several years ago. There will soon come a time when the third-party workarounds to get contemporary standards of media in and out of FCP will become too difficult and time consuming to make it worth while.
So while FCP-7 is and always will be a great editor for those who know how to use it - it certainly is time to consider another NLE.
