Interested in most popular Blackberry OSs

Hi,
I am interested in creating a Blackberry application, but would like to find some information on the most popular BlackBerry OS versions first (such as the percentage of total users with 4.1, 4.2 and so on).  Is anyone aware of information on this? Thanks! Van

I don't know but for recent series (8800, Pearl, Curve, Bold, Storm) I think that over 80% use 4.2.

  • Most popular api for modifying excel spreadsheets?

I googled a bit and it seems like POI and jexcel are the most popular ? I'm interested in hearing your opinions... I've tried POI and I find it OK, but I wish I had more features like copying a row and "pasting/inserting" it into another row and copying formulas and having it modified as you "paste" it to another cell.
    edit:
scratch jexcel off the list... it's not free :(

    hi,
    POI is best
The most popular API for manipulating Excel files is Apache POI (http://jakarta.apache.org/poi). This is an API for reading office-documents in general. For reading Excel there is the hssf subproject (http://jakarta.apache.org/poi/hssf). They also have a list of alternative projects that can be used for accessing Excel files (http://jakarta.apache.org/poi/hssf/alternatives.html)
You can also read in the excel file through the jexcel api (http://www.andykhan.com/jexcelapi/)
once you can read in the entire excel file into java, you can create your own Java object structure and go from there.

  • How can I sort songs on my iPad by "most popular"

I am in the iTunes store from my iPad 2.  I got the group I wanted and now just want to sort all their songs by "most popular".  However, I am only able to sort each album this way.

Don't Worry, as long as your music is consolidated in your library, then your information (ie alb. art lyrics blah) will be saved! Just don't delete your music in your iTunes folder!

  • Most Popular Items not working for document libraries

One of the new Library features is the "Most Popular Items" report.  In the library tab you can click on the icon to in theory, see a list of the recent and total Views of an item:
This does work in our environment to record views for wiki or publishing page, but it is not recording views for documents regardless of their location:
I've had several people open and view the documents, and even had 1 person edit a couple of the documents.  Even after waiting a couple of hours to make sure whatever job it is that updates the Views has run, we still aren't seeing any views.
    Any ideas?
    Nick Hurst

We finally got Office Web Apps installed and now the Most Popular is working.  Of course that means only when the documents are viewed in the Office Web App are they recorded for the Most Popular report.  We've done some testing and opening the
file directly in the desktop application, or even editing the file directly in the desktop application are never recorded.  My one disclaimer with this is we are using Office 2010, I'm curious if Office 2013 perhaps records views and edits using the desktop
    application?
Luckily the latest OWA patch now allows PDF's to open in the Word Office App as well, so those views are recorded.  If you have any non office or non PDF in the library, views will not be recorded for these items unfortunately.
I can't believe how this isn't documented anywhere.

  • Most Popular Entries in iWeb Blog. Possible??

I want to put a box in my iweb blog that will contain the most viewed (most popular) entries I have in the blog so they could be easily accessible. Is it possible because Im searching the net but I cannot find anything... What do you think?

There is a workaround that involves quite some work to do by hand.
    1. Get a Google webmaster account
    2. Add the Google Analytics code to your HTML files (post publish editing)
    3. Look at the results on a regular base to see what Blog entry is most popular
    4. Show the most popular Blog entry in an iFrame (you'll have to change them by hand)
This is a summary. Feel free to ask for details.
    Kind regards,
    Leo

  • How to include "pages" and "documents" as different tabs in most popular item webpart from site collection ?

    Hello,
I require to customize the most popular item web part that should show the "pages" and "documents" from entire site collection in different tabs in the same web part.
can anyone suggest me the approach on the same ?
    Thanks and Regards,
    Dipti Chhatrapati

    Hi,
It would not be an easy job to customize an existing web part which with its own design.
As a suggestion, it would be more appropriate to create a custom new web part with the help of Search API in your scenario, there, we can create custom style more
freely than customizing on an existing web part.

  • How to obtain most popular cities from my users table

    Hi.
    I've got a 'users' table:
    USER_ID --- CITY_ID
    1 ---- 32
    2 ---- 20
    3----- 32
    4 ---- 32
    5 ----- 17
I would like to obtain the most popular cities from this table, and the number of occurrences. Is this possible to make it easy with an SQL statement?
    Thx

Here is an example using the emp demo table -
    SQL> select deptno, count(*)
      2  from emp
      3  group by deptno
      4  order by count(*) desc;
        DEPTNO   COUNT(*)
            30          6
            20          5
10          3You can find full details of aggregate functions like count, and group by and order by in the SQL Reference manual.

im not feeling leopard for coupla reasons.
im new to all this by the way. so dont know about the diff versions of operating systems for mac........i just know tiger 10.4 was one prior.
for music software, which op system and version is most compatible with the various music apps and vst companies etc out there. like i dont mind not using the latest versions of popular programmes like pro tools and logic and ableton.
leopared is very specific and not backwards compatiblewith alot of software it seems.
    cheers
like whats the most popular system in use by music production culture, not necessarily professionals, just hobbyists.
like if you have service pack 2 XP, i know youre good to go. simple as that.
    whats the mac equivalent?

Leopard doesn't work well with G5!!
If you have tiger, stay with it, its solid. There is no reason to use leo at the moment!
There is nothing you cannot do with tiger concerning audio.
When its time to upgrade, you can do, but who knows.....
    Cheers Eddie
What FUD. Seriously. Plenty of people on this board are running leopard with no problem. My leopard is solid, and it runs logic and reason.
Leopard worked fine on my G5.
As for the comment about leopard not being able to run tiger....well, that's kinda mind blowing.

  • SharePoint 2013 Most Popular Items Requirements

    Hi all,
I have a General question regarding Usage Data and "Most Popular Items" functionality.
Can anyone provide a list of requirements for this Feature?
Currently the Problem is following we have Setup an Environment with latest CU, configured Search application and Usage Data Collection.
And it seems to be working for page request (Pages library), also we get the popularity Trends Report for site collections, but if we try to get a Popularity Trends Report from a library or a most popular items Report from a library then it is empty.
I have seen some rumors that it only work when we have Office Web Apps installed.
Can anyone confirm that or Point me to an official documentation?
    best regards

  • Searching for Apps - Most Popular

I was just looking at the itunes app store and comparing it to my experiene with Android Market when it comes to search.  When typing something or some topic in the search bar...a bunch of apps will come up but they dont seem to be in any particular order.  Are they?  Can you put them in order such as most popular or most downloaded?  Unless the apps are in the top list, its hard to find which are the good ones and the most popular, most downloaded, best reviewed.  When I look at what pops up after the search, the apps seem to be in no particular order.  Often the ones with the most and best ratings are in the middle or bottom of the page, and the top apps are not well-rated.  The iphone app store is supposed to be the creme of the crop so I dont understand why the search engine seems so OFF compared to what I notice with Android Market where the apps are generally listed in order of popularity.
So whats the best way of finding iphone apps you want?

  • Get most popular user using JSOM

    Hi,
I have a requirement to show "Employee of the month" on my intranet portal. The data has to be collaborated from 1 site collection and communities, blogs under it.
The logic behind this can be any one option from the below.
    1. User who has most followers
    2. User who has done maximum number of posts
    3. User having most mentions
Iterating through all users in a site collection and getting their data seems a bit complex and performance issue might arise.
    Any help is appreciated.Thanks
    sunny

    Hi,
According to your post, my understanding is that you want to get most popular user using JSOM.
Per my knowledge, you need to get and count the followers for each users and and then get the max number.
The appropriate user is the most popular user.
To get the followers of a specific, you can refer to:

  • Export complete "Most Popular Items" report

I need to take snapshots of the Most Popular Items (views) report for a pages library so we can analyze the data to get weekly/monthly/yearly visit trends/data for each page within the library. Our typical pages library (being used as KB's) contains 200+
pages (in one instance, over 1,000) so exporting & combining the data for each individual page every week is just not an option. What I'm looking for is a way to export the "Most Popular Items" (accessed via Library tab > Most Popular Items)
to an Excel spreadsheet without having to manually copy/paste/clean up each page of data. Has anyone found a way (programmatically or otherwise) to accomplish this?
Is it possible to modify the "topreport.aspx" page to include an 'Export to Excel' type function? Or at the least, is it possible to customize the layout of that page to be more Excel-friendly (for example: show all results on 1 page or make each
entry appear as a single row)? Is this data able to be captured through PerformancePoint?
Any help/guidance will be greatly appreciated!
    Thank You!
    - Kyle

    Hi Kyle,
Per my understanding, you might want to export the Most Popular Items related data to an Excel report in a specific format.
As there is no OOTB feature can meet your requirement, custom code would be required.
In Microsoft.Office.Server.Search.Analytics namespace, there is a method “UsageAnalytics.GetAnalyticsItemData”
which can help to “Retrieves aggregated usage data for a specified item for a specified event type”.
A demo about how to identify view count for each item in a Pages library for your reference:

  • Most Popular Items are not populating on lists and libraries

When I click the Most Popular items icon, the reports always show zeros.  I have been reading that installing OWA has resolved the problem but I need to know if it is REQUIRED to work properly. If anyone has any information on this, please let me know.
I have not  been able to find solid proof it is a requirement.
    Thanks!

    Hi,
According to your description, I have met the same issue with you. The Most Popular Items wasn’t recording any views for documents in the document libraries.
Here is a blog said that only when the documents are viewed in the Office Web App are they recorded for the Most Popular report. But it's always good to test.

  • Most Popular Items Report: items listed in report are not the document names or titles

I have a document library that's loaded with typical corporate ppt, word, and pdf files.  When I run a Most Popular Items report on the library, the list of items displayed in the report are not the document file names or document titles.
Instead, the report is showing information that seems to pulled from within the content itself.
For example, there's a new corporate ppt template in the document library and the Most Popular Items report shows the sharepoint url for the ppt file as being one of the most popular items.  Let's say that the file is named Standard_ppt_template.ppt.
The url for one of the most popular items reflects that in the URL.  However, the item is listed in the Most Popular Item as "Company Confidential".  The report seems to be pulling the words "Company Confidential" listed in the
footer of the ppt template and showing that as the most popular content item.
Is there a reason or setting why the Most Popular Items report is not returning a list of items based on either the file name or the document title?
Thanks in advance for any advice.

    Hi,
According to your post, my understanding is that the PPT files items in the “Most Popular Items” report display these items’ names seem to be pulled from the PPT files’ content.
Per my test, the Word, Excel, PDF, .txt, .png files items in the “Most Popular Items” report will display these items’ names based on the corresponding items’ title value if they have, or the corresponding file name if these items don’t have the title value.
However, it’s by design that the PPT files items in the “Most Popular Items” report will display these items’ names only based on the beginning of these PPT files’ content rather than these files’ names and the corresponding items’ title value.
    Best Regards,
    Yumi Fu

  • Can I view the songs or albums by most popular in list format? (easy star)

I'm just curious and I'd like to see what song is the most popular.
I find all the pictures and album art really annoying.
I don't use the store for buying music.
to clarify , I'd like to see the whole iTunes catalog visible in regular itunes list view.
    Message was edited by: Bobsax

I'd like to see the whole iTunes catalog visible in regular itunes list view.
Not possible. There are millions of tracks in the iTunes Store, so there's no practical way the entire catalog could be displayed in a single list. If, however, you just want to see the Top Songs in a list, click the small right-facing arrow to the right of the "Top Songs" header.
