International keyboard

My international keyboard for Vietnamese works in pages but not in the appleworks 6 wordprocessor. Can anyone tell me why?

Sure.
AppleWorks was designed before OS X was probably conceived. AW was never designed to support the international key codings.

There are 3 checks that can be performed initially:
- perform a NVRAM reset : About NVRAM and PRAM
- perform a SMC reset: Intel-based Macs: Resetting the System Management Controller (SMC)
- perform a Safe Boot : OS X: What is Safe Boot, Safe Mode?
- then reboot to normal
If the issue persists: run Diagnostics. Using Apple Diagnostics
and check if any codes come up : Apple Diagnostics: Reference codes

HELP! Internal Keyboard doesn't work

I had my macbook pro 6 months ago, and one month ago I plugged in an imac keyboard for using adobe illustrator and photoshop. When I unplugged the external keyboard the internal keyboard of the macbook pro stopped functioning. The commands buttons, letters, enter, and many other keys except for the expose and the top keys. I tried everything and nothing seems to fix it.
please help !!!!

have you tried:
1) resetting the PRAM (hold down the command option p r keys while starting up the computer. Wait until the chimes sound at least twice )
or
2) resetting the SMC ( see http://support.apple.com/kb/HT3964 )
If neither of these fix the problem then it is probably a hardware issue. If the computer is only 6 months old it will still be covered by warranty for hardware repairs, so take it to an Apple dealer if possible.

How to switch into an international keyboard?

How to switch into international keyboard while I am using the apple's wireless keyboard?
You know when u connect the wireless keyboard on ipad, the original keyboard on the ipad screen will disappear. at that time, how can i switch the english keyboard to an international keyboard. (by the way, in my ipad another keyboard is enabled.)

i got my own answer
press the "command" then "space" button, then screen will show the international keyboard to choose. using the "space" to choose and confirm.
btw. the wireless keyboard is awesome!

Macbook A1181 - Internal Keyboard issue

Hi,
I am a computer engineer with many years experience dealing with Computers, Laptops, Electronics, Windows and Mac.
I recently performed a strip down and clean of a Macbook A1181 for a customer as it was over heating and turning off.
All went well no problems or glitches and the Macbook is now running smooth with no over heat or shut down problems.
Unfortunately The keyboard seems to be giving a little trouble.
Firstly all software settings seem correct and all the keys function as should on a USB keyboard.
The internal keyboard (using the onscreen keyboard to debug) when I press the left hand shift key it presses both the shift + letter O
When I perss the letter O it thinks im pressing shift + O so all I get is capital O's can not get small o.
also (it is a spanish layout keyboard Ç,cedilla next to return key) when I press it it thinks im pressing it and the return
also when I press return it thinks im pressing Return + Ç
I have stripped down again made sure the ribbon cable is good and seated correctly, I have cleaned with Compressed air and light brush, as a last resort last night I have bathed the keyboard in 99% Isopropyl Alcohol (have done this on hundreds of laptop keyboards to clean tea, juice etc)
But again this morning the keyboard has the same problems?
Any ideas what could be the problem or what I can suggest to fix (a new keyboard and top deck is going to be expensive)

Perhaps you may be able to locate an otherwise good keyboard assembly
from another previously-owned MacBook that has a different kind of failure.
One with a logic board or graphics failure could be a parts candidate, here.
I'd never heard of a need for nor anyone cleaning a known-good Apple keyboard
in a portable Mac, with alcohol. I know they'd cautioned against using it on the
case, the display (prior to hard glass cover) & other instances, in previous years...
However your efforts and attempts to restore function to an ailing MacBook
are commendable; the use of known good used parts may suffice in a repair.

Where can I find a new Satellite A110 US-International keyboard?

Keys from my A110-225 US-International keyboard are starting to get loose or drop. From one of them the key retainer has a crack and will never work properly anymore. I've been searching on the internet, but I can find just US, UK and Spanish keyboard. I'm looking for a US-International keyboard.
Does anyone know where I could find a shop (preferably online) that has one of these and ships to the Netherlands?
I don't know neither how or where to contact Toshiba themselves for sending them to me.

I think you should contact the nearest ASP that you can find on the Toshiba website:

The ASP can order all original Toshiba spare parts and I think it should be possible to order such a keyboard.

I use Xperia International Keyboard in Persian (Farsi) on my Xperia Z3 Comapct. I really like its Gesture input for Persian. On the other hand I like Google Keyboard for Persian for its 'Zero-width Non-Joiner' Unicode Control Character key.This character is used in Persian as a non-breaking space or "نیم‌فاصله". But Google keyboard lacks gesture input for Persian. I would like it like very much If there is a ZWNJ (U+200C) key on next updates of Xperia International Keyboard for Persian. It would be perfect if it also have Arabic Decimal Separator (٫) (U+066B) and Arabic Thousand Separator (٬) (U+066C).

I'm new to IOS development,
I need a help to develop an International Keyboard for IOS,
so once user install my application i need to give him the keyboard which he can add to his default keyboard in by Following the path, Settings→General→International→Keyboards→Add New Keyboard.

You can not maintain accounts manually in OAMK. The accounts which we maintained at the time of assignment for selected account determination for classes in AO90 are only displayed in OAMK. Additionally here you can you change only their Reconciliation Type for direct postings. When you change the Reconciliation Type you are able to make direct postings to changed accounts. For direct postings make blank and SAVE.
But changing the Reconciliation type in live system is not recommended.

Silly me. I was playing around with the virtual keyboard; found the international keyboard list. I turned on the Russian/Cyrillic keyboard. Surprise, surprise, now everything is in Russian, and I can't see how to restore everything to English. Help!

Silly me. I was playing around on the settings portion of my I-Pad2, when I found the international keyboard section. I reset the keyboard to Russian to see what it would look like. Now, the keyboard is in Russian, and so are all the settings elements. I can't see how to get it all back into English. Help,

Internal Keyboard Not Working Properly Macbook 7,1

Hi there, I have a macbook which I purchased on sale early 2011, version 7,1.
I was using it today and many applications opened and the machine froze, so I turned of the machine. On turning it back on it came on in safe mode and I was unable to use the keyboard properly, in the sense that everytime I pushed a key say an "R", a N would come up or even a number. the function keys stopped working also. The "mouse" pad on the computer worked fine. If I push buttons on it now, they do absolutely nothing but the tracking mouse works fine.
I rebooted it, but no difference. I have inserted a USB keyboard, and that works fine.
I have:
1. Tryed rebooting PRAM and SMC
2. Followed troubleshooting on the Mac website for keyboard problems
3. Installed Mac Mountain Lion and cleaned the hard drive and rebooted it with the new Mac Mountain Lion.
4. Ensured sound and the mouse pad are not turned on.
Again, the internal keyboard is not working properly.
I am unsure what to do. I have not spiled anything on the keypad and there has been no trauma.
Does anyone have any ideas? I am writing this using a Mac external USB keyboard.
I am thinking it might just be worth buying another Mac, but I have only had this for 21 months.
Any help would be apreciated.

Additionally to no sound available, I could only type capital letters. When I opened my MacBook Pro late 2008, I found the small cable loose, marked by the red arrow. Opened the safety mechanisem, inserted it again, closed the stirrup again, restart - everything fine again! :-))
Hope it helps somebody else - I lost hours troubleshooting the software...

Equium P200-1IR - How to remove internal keyboard?

This notebook had soup spilled on the keyboard and now won't boot, even with a USB keyboard connected. I want to disconnect the internal keyboard, because it looks like that's what's causing the problem. (I have relevant experience.) But I can't see how to do that.
I've done web searches and looked at http://www.irisvista.com/ (mentioned in another thread) but not found anything that seems applicable to this model.

The first laptop keyboard replacement I did (not that I've done many) was guided by a technical manual downloaded from the IBM website. I suppose that's why I was optimistic. It was a few years ago and I wouldn't be surprised to learn that such manuals are no longer available from any manufacturer.

I'm actually an IT professional, though I don't have a lot of laptop hardware experience. I would normally turn away such work but this is for a relative.

That could be worth it if they gave a free quotation, but the laptop is approaching three years old so not worth spending very much money on.

When will Apple do REAL soft "international" keyboards on the iPhone?

Being a Swedish local, remembering the keynote with Steve Jobs making a big issue of using "soft keyboards" for international characters on the iPhone made my brain over-heat with disappointment when I finally got my iPhone 3G and entered "Swedish" under the keyboard settings hoping that a Swedish keyboard layout would appear on the iPhone's soft keyboard.
There is no Swedish (and possibly no other "international") keyboard on the iPhone although the settings are there. All there is is a possibility to enter "international" characters through an awkward point-hold-and-drag mechanism! These characters are being used all the time not only on those rare occations you need to spell out "Motörhead" correctly. What if you needed to click-hold-and-drag everytime you wanted to type an "a"?
Apple have had a few designs through the years that never should have left the office (remember the hockey puck mouse?) and this US-ASCII keyboard layout for "international" keyboards is one of the more ignorant ones - even more so since the facilities for making a proper layout is there.
(Another bug is the Map application assuming that the USA is the correct country for contacts in the address book where no country has been entered, instead of - for instance - using the country used for the keyboard settings as default country where none is explicitly entered or the country where the iPhone was activated?

I recently signed a contract with vodafone Greece for 46 € plan (one of the more expensive from the countries that the iPhone is available) in order to get an iPhone 3G 16GB for 430 € (also one of the highest prices of iPhone with a contract) only to find out that there is no Greek Keyboard. This is unacceptable. I don't care for which other countries you have made keyboard or not (although you make sure to rub it in my face) but the essence of the iphone is that it is a tool to have with you all the time and if the is no ability to right in your native language it is rendered useless. The think that is more frustrating is that those who bought the iPhone from abroad (at 1/4 of the price) and jailbroke it have a Greek keyboard, made by Greek hackers/programmers.
Today comes, as i am told the 2.1 firmware update and i sincerely hope that ithas the Greek keyboard in it otherwise my (and many other i spoke with that bought the iPhone due to its features and not due to the Apple brand) loyalty to the Apple brand (which is already in bad shape due to the Greek retailer Rainbow) is going to be in jeopardy.

Third party internal keyboard-

Seeing as Apple still hasn't upgraded the keyboards on its Ibook's, and my warr~ is almost up, i'm curious as to if anyone knows of a third party internal keyboard? I searched around a bit and found a touchstream bit that looked interesting, but sadly the company has gone out of business.

You can find the Apple Bluetooth card on eBay for as little ten dollars (says its for the 2008 model Mac Pro, not sure about the 2007).

Just make sure that the part will work in your model Mac Pro. To that end, you may be better off avoiding eBay and going to a parts reseller. There are even third party cards that use the internal Apple bluetooth slot.

In theory, using a USB or PCI card will work at login so long as it is recognized by Apples drivers. You say you need to launch an application to use your current USB Bluetooth dongle? If it is not controlled by the Bluetooth icon in the menu bar then it must be using a third party driver of some sort. Unfortunately, I don't know off hand which USB and PCI cards are supported.

My iPad 2 internal keyboard issue

I have noticed that my internal keyboard does not come out when I need to add some text recently on google earth. I wondered if there's some shortcut to force the iPad to xtend it's internal electronic keyboard n order to add some text? Thank you in advance.

Try restarting your iPad 2 by holding down the on/off and the home buttons at the same time until your see the Apple logo.

That is the whole point and whole different market for the I pad.. for my mom, who can write in traditional chinese and search.. that is a great way to use it..
Please add them in, you already has the design in I phone, why not add them in I pad!
