the los angeles county recoreders office requires internet explorer browser ....
i tried to find it on google and every site will only download with windows
is there a way to download internet explorer for mac.
i have 10.3.9

Apple's Safari is a w3c compliant web browser and suitable for the vast majority of websites. Try it first. If you have trouble with any sites try Mozilla's Firefox instead (link).
Microsoft's Internet Explorer (especially before version 7) renders pages in it's own subtly different ways and AFAIK does not meet w3c compliance. Microsoft dropped support for Internet Explorer on the Mac some years ago. When web page authors get lazy they don't both to stick to w3c standards and go with something that works only with the most popular browser (IE) instead.
Try Safari then Firefox and if you're still have trouble there are other browsers to try and also telling Safari to pretend to be IE.

Dreamweaver tables not displaying correctly in internet explorer browser, please help!!!!

Could someone please help me with this issue i've been having for almost a year now and can't find any information on getting this fixed, for some reason the features specs and required tables rows are not displaying correctly, the image is out of aligned when viewing the results using the internet explorer browser only, the firefox browser works just as needed but when i try to view the same code in IE the tables are not aligned properly and the text is not margined correctly either, i tried playing around with the css style that i have and no results. Please help me fix this issue so that my page would display in internet explorer just like under Firefox. Below are the pictures of the problem i'm having.

Try this without the border images and it will work in all browsers with increased text size. That's assuming eBay supports embedded CSS styles (which I'm not convinced they do). Inline styles are safer IMHO.

This sounds like a virus or malware program that has made its way onto your computer. I would ensure you have the latest virus definitions on your computer and run a thorough (complete) scan of your system. If this doesn't work, I would suggest you use Microsoft's Malware Removal Tool. You can download it at the link below. Hope this helps.

I'm looking For Mac Version intel Base Internet Explorer Browser

I need to Download the Internet Explorer browser so that I can use it to open a web Page from Staples to fill out a Job application Form, Safari and FireFox doesn't support that web page from staples. I am having a Hard time finding the right web site to download Internet Explorer, Does anyone know where I can download a Mac Version Intel Base Internet Explorer version?

Try changing the User Agent in Safari - enable the Debug menu.
Most web sites, you can tell them how to identify your browser as something other than what it is, just have to log out or reload.
Also, 98% will work with Opera which emulates IE quite well, but not always (I found 2 out of 2000 sites that would not). Another browser to look at: OmniWeb, Camino. I use Firefox 3.1a "TraceMonkey", OmniWeb, Opera (each has its own uses).
IE 5.2.3, I tried it, and it was terrible. It is old, and doesn't support any of today's web sites.
Otherwise, you are faced with running CrossOver Mac, or Windows in Fusion or Parallels, or installing on BootCamp.

When the Internet Explorer browser window is obscured Stage.width and Stage.height never return the proper sizes until/unless the IE window is unobscured long enough for the player to feel it needs to render initially. This was preventing our preloader from completing, since we were waiting for a non-0 Stage size. Took a slightly different approach to solving the bug for which the original logic was added to work around.

URGENT - Using tabs of Portal in Internet Explorer browser

Hi everyone..!!..
We are doing a web application with Portal technology. It contains several tabs within each one contain one java portlet, by mean, one .jsp page. So, when we use the application in Internet Explorer browser in some time, one tab of tha application only works very well, the others are as locked or disabled and we can't use the others tab. We want to know if it ocurres because we are using Internet Explorer browser..??..because we use the application in Firefox browser and everything was very well. We want to use the application on Internet Explorer browser yes to yes. Anyone has a solution about that problem..??..

You may not be using the recommended version of IE.
You can check browser recommendations in Portal User's Guide, which is available at
http://www.oracle.com/technology/documentation/appserver101202.html.
Click View Library and then click the Portals tab.

When clicking on an Email link it defaults to Internet Explorer browsing and I want it to use the Firefox browser

An email will have a "Click here" link and when I click it goes to a internet explorer browsing, not a firefox browser

That is is always a problem when you are using multiple profiles and Firefox isn't running.
It might work if no profile is selected (i.e. marked as Default=1 in profiles.ini).<br />
You can use desktop shortcut that open with a specific profile (-P "profile").<br />
There is also a setting in the Profile Manager (Don't ask at startup).

When I download Adobe Reader it takes over my Internet Explorer Browser and other browsers.

When I download Adobe Reader on my Windows 7, it takes over my Microsoft Internet Explorer Browser and any browser I use. Is there anyway to correct this problem without re-installing Windows 7 on my computer?

Microsoft discontinued Explorer for Mac, so what do I do? I heard of a program called Parallels Desktop - has anyone used it, will it work, or am I opening up Pandora's box by installing it on my computer? Changing hosting companies is not an option, so I need to make this work. THANKS!!!!!

You're trying to use a web-site building application that doesn't support Macs? I personally would not deal with any hosting company that won't support anything beyond Windows. Whatever you build with this company will not be accessible to other Macs. But this is your prerogative.
You're correct that Internet Explorer for Mac has been discontinued and it was discontinued at version 5.2x. To run IE for Windows on your Mac you'll need something like Apple's Boot Camp <http://www.apple.com/bootcamp/>, Parallels from <http://www.parallels.com/> or if you're feeling adventurous you can try the CrossOver beta from <http://www.codeweavers.com/>, which will let you run Windows applications without Windows.
Are you opening a Pandora's Box? I don't think so. You do need to take the same precautions you would with a regular Windows machine. That means installing antivirus software and spyware software. Be sure to test your website with both your Mac browsers as well as IE for Windows.

Acrobat Reader 9.1 and Internet Explorer Browser

I can't open pdf docs using MS Browser. I can open saved pdf docs on my PC with Acrobat Reader 9.1..
I'm using Windows Vista.
All Adobe Add Ons are activated under Browser Add Ons in Internet Explorer settings.
Steps
1 Trying to open a pdf with Microsoft Explorer returns the error "You need Acrobat Reader 8 or 9"
2 Download current version of Adobe Reader ==> failed - could not be installed
3 Starting AdbeRdr910_de_DE.exe
4 Run the software Adobe Reader 9.0 ==> Yes
5 Adobe Reader 9.1 - German runs
6 Select Repair option
7 Install ==> does take some seconds ==> Finish
8 Chosen pdf-file is displayed properly in web browser !!!
9 Shuting all windows down
10 Trying to open same pdf with MS browser (step 1) again, I receive the same error "You need Acrobat Reader 8 or 9"
What's the solution for this ?

What Java to download for my Internet Explorer browser?

When I hear that I need Java for my Interner Explorer
browser, which Java package/installer do I need to install:
the Java Runtime Environment ?Java Virtual machine?
I have Internet Explorer 6.0.2.
I want to discard the Microsoft Java Virtual machine
and use the Java from Sun.

usually, you want to install the latest release..and that would be Java 1.5 JRE.
Having the lastest JRE means that you can run the most updated application written in 1.5 and compiled in 1.5.
however, i noticed that after installation of the Tiger JRE, Java applet seems to load much slower (take twice to three times longer than using 1.4.2)...so, for me..i removed 1.5 and reinstalled 1.4.2 on my computer

There's also a browser called Atomic Web that allows you to 'look like' another browser.
No idea if it works but you can try.
You might also contact the portal tech support. maybe they know of a way to make their site work with ipads

Captivate 8 Only Previews Using Internet Explorer Browser

I'm wondering if this might be an issue related to the firewall pop-up problem, but I haven't seen this particular question on the forums yet, so here goes...
I'm a Windows 8.1 user. No matter what I do (Google Chrome is set as default browser, html files are set to open with chrome by default, blah blah) Captivate 8 ONLY launches my IE11 browser when I preview my projects. This is a particular annoyance since I like to use Edge Inspect, and I can't because the Edge Inspect preview option even launches my IE11 browser. Very strange. I know how to USE Edge Inspect - I use it all the time with Brackets (and former Edge Code) when building websites - so this is not the problem. I have the plug-in installed in my Chrome browser, and I have the Inspect program running etc... Captivate 8 just refuses to launch any other browser other than IE no matter what I do. Project type doesn't matter either - responsive, standard... all the same result. Anyone else have this problem (or better yet - know of a solution)? I couldn't find any default browser options in Captivate itself either (also weird). I'm thinking about trying the firewall pop-up fix to see if that gets rid of the problem (which is another problem I'm having).
I would LIKE to avoid hacking the software, and prefer waiting for a formal fix/update. But so far, I run into nothing but constraints and issues using this program - starting to get pretty annoyed with it to be honest. Seems very cloogie and unpolished to say the least - especially as far as this HTML5 and responsiveness is concerned. Not impressed with any of these "rapid elearning" tools truthfully (Storyline... none of em). I seem to spend all my time trying to get them to do simple things that should be inherent, rather than spending my time developing. Man... really missing the unlimited creative freedom of Flash Pro development for elearning these days. I'm starting to think custom dev using Edge Animate (or Flash Pro to canvas) and real HTML5 pages would actually be easier, but nobody seems to be hiring for custom anymore. May sacrifice the (imo) somewhat gratuitous LMS communication support (why people aren't utilizing their built in LMS test environment is beyond me), but at least I'd have some control over things. Sigh... anyhow, I digress...

Not that this is a help for your situation, but I have noted that my published projects do not play correctly in any browser if I try to launch the index.html file. I have to launch the multiscreen.html version in order to have everything work perfectly. And it has to be Internet Explorer - doesn't play in Chrome.
