Internet Explorer opens up sometimes, not always, when I open Firefox. I have Firefox set as my default browser. IE tries to open at the same time and slows my computer way down and it is slow to close.
Mozilla Firefox tries to open but the IE screen opens on top of firefox. This does not happen everytime I open Firefox.

If you are running 10.6.8 then you must have bought it 3-4 yrs ago?
Might want to check the specs and then look at various programs and their requirements as to whether Final Cut Express and ah, you want to import media to an app, not "upload."

Firefox doesn't do email, so there are no "Firefox email accounts". If you are accessing "email" with Firefox, you are using web mail. Some web mail services don't allow for direct access, they want their users to access their email from a "portal" or "main" page and will re-direct any attempt to load an "internal" web site page back to the main page.
As far as loading 3 different web mail accounts at the same time, if they are in the same domain it won't work on Firefox without a Firefox addon. http://br.mozdev.org/multifox/
IOW, if those three email accounts all with Yahoo, without that add-on you would have to logon to each email account separately and log out of the first before logging into the 2nd. Then log out of the 2nd before logging into the 3rd. Firefox isn't capable of having multiple session cookies for simultaneous logon's to the same server. That add-on provides that "multiple sessions cookies" feature. -

In Pages, you can have several sheets in a document, and several tables on a sheet. You can link cells between tables and sheets.
You can not link from one document to another, but who needs to?
To link cells from Table 1 on Sheet 1 to Table 1 on sheet 2, click on destination cell, type =, then click on the source cell. Under the Insert menu, choose Fill if you wish to duplicate a range of cells.
This is a bit different from Microsoft Windows Excel, but you will soon get the hang of it.

I think I have tried everything I could find/think of to get this to work. I can connect it to my stereo and stream music fine but the internet won't work. I really just want it to join/or extend so that my internet connection remains intact and I can stream music and surf the web at the same time.

ThanksYou would probably want your Express to join the network if an extender isn't required. Reset to factory settings and join the network.
If you do want your Express as an extender run an Ethernet cable between the Express and the Verizon router and set the Express up to be in bridge mode, with the same WiFi network name and password as your Verizon router. -
I was working with my online grade program snapgrades and the connection dropped when I started the program again Firefox was in private browsing mode. The grade program is set to email me if another computer accesses the program and I received a message that another computer had assessed my program at that time. I was hoping to find out what happened. I was on other web sites at the same time.
Install ClamXav and run a scan with that. It should pick up any trojans.

Why can't I run Safari and Skype at the same time without making my computer freeze up?
I can't believe I can't run Safari and Skype at the same time without my computer freezing up, it's a MacBook Pro with Mac OS 10.6.8 and it has an Intel Core 2 Duo CPU with 2.2 Ghz and 2 Gb of RAM. Is this a hardware problem or a software problem?
I haven't gone to the trouble of actually testing to see which uses more CPU power, but Firefox has been faster than Safari on every Mac I've ever owned.
To see CPU usage by process, open the terminal (in Utilities) and enter 'top' at the command line. You might have to expand the window as processes don't appear in any logical order.
It could also be hardware-related: I have late 2009 mini with similar specs and it pinwheels easily. -

I had an iphone that would not work and they sent me a replacement. I have everything set up the same as my last one except that now on the screen it registers 373 on the mail button. I don't have any mail in my mail box. Everything is cleaned out but it still registers 373 on the front of my phone. How do I get this to go back to normal?
If your email account offers a webmail access, I suggest checking the webmail - log in to your account using the webmail access, and I predict you will see all those "unread" emails there and can dispose of them from there.
This happens because the iPhone that went bad, when reading those emails, did not remove them from your email provider's servier. -
When I create a dynamic link to after effects it will work for a couple seconds, but then I get a black screen saying error and that I need to restart my computer. I can use the programs independently, but not together.

If it never worked after the screen replacement then it would appear that you have a hardware problem either caused by the repair or the problem that lead to the screen replacement.

Open Keychain Access in Utilities, use Keychain First Aid under the Keychain Menu item, then either check the Password under that item, change it, or delete it and start over. See if there are duplicates, should be one for Incoming & one for Outgoing.

If Keychain First Aid finds an issue that it cannot repair, or if you do not know your keychain password, you may need to reset your keychain.
