Internet Explorer Upgrade Problems

Hello,
I currently have a 32 bit operating system running internet explorer 7. When I attempt to upgrade to explorer 8 or later, I get a message that my system does not support it? I'm at my wits end. Does anyone have any advice or resolution to what
i can do to upgarde my current explorer 7 to a later version?. I thank all in advance for your help with my technical issue.

What OS are you using?
How do you upgrade your Internet Explorer 7? From windows updates?
Also you can manually download and install the latest IE from Microsoft website:

Please note you should apply the 32 bit IE update package to your computer.

Why, all of a sudden, can't I download documents from websites or e-mail attachments when I can do this on Internet Explorer without problems?

When I try to download a spreadsheet, document, or other item from a website, using either run or save, everything freezes up and no download occurs. Or sometimes the item will download in a nonsense jumble of numbers and letters. The same thing happens when I try to download an e-mail attachment from someone. Thing is, I can do all these things from Internet Explorer without problems. This has only happened within the past couple of months. Before that, I had no problems . What's happening?

Dear All,
How to stop Internet Explorer upgrade to IE 10 & IE 11
In our environment we have around 300 workstations.I need to stop all of the machine users from manually downloading and installing IE.Also how do it stop the IE from updating using Group policy on windows server 2008 & windows server 2003.
All users machine are on windows 7.
Basically i want all users to get restricted to IE9.

Internet Explorer 10 will be available as an “Important” update through the Automatic Update feature of Windows Update. Users of Windows 7 Service Pack 1, who have opted to
download and install updates automatically through Windows Update (recommended setting), will automatically be upgraded to Internet Explorer 10.
However, we can prevent users from upgrading to IE 10 via Windows Server Update Services (WSUS) or System Center 2012 Configuration Manager.
Regarding how to prevent users from upgrading to IE10 or IE11, the following two articles can be referred to for more information.

Internet explorer encountered problem and needs to close

Hi
Please resolve my problem
wile i m accessing portal suddenly i m getting the pop-up error saying
"Internet explorer encountered problem and needs to close. we are sorry for the inconvenience"
when i click <b>click here</b> link on that pop-up, again another pop-up displaying with the following details.
AppName: iexplorer.exe AppVersion: 6.0.2900.2810 ModName:mshtml.dll
My collegues suggeted it is due to the problem with IE. But im using IE6.0 SP2 only.
i m not getting this error wile accessing other sites with IE. y with mySAP only this error i m facing.
please resolve and give me the proper solution to work with my SAP portal.

other wise instal any google tool bar to ur IE it will allow ur popup for portal..

Jumpy scroll wheel control with mouse. Only with Firefox, not Internet explorer.Even pushing the scroll wheel and trying to adjust for a smooth easy scroll the text stops and starts. Problem fixed itself when I updated to 6. 0.2 from an older version but the problem returned after about a week.. The problems go away when I go to web site and scroll but is back when I return to my home page (mozilla firefox)

Good post, and glad to hear you had a solid transition. Mine went well too, though I think I beat the rush.
It's worth noting that the vast and overwhelming majority of headaches people were experiencing were related to download and activation servers (as well as credit check servers for some mobile carriers) being crushed and overwhelmed.
To give you an idea of just how crushed, here are some numbers. In the last year, something in the neighborhood of 8 million iPhones have been sold. That's just shy of 22,000 per day. So the typical traffic is around 22,000 times a day, someone is hitting the server for update/activation.
This weekend, Apple sold 1 million iPhones. In other words, 333,333 phones per day. Holy crap!
As if that wasn't enough, there are 8 million of us out there with the first generation iPhone. Not only do we need to download the new firmware, but we have to install it. The installation process requires hitting the activation server again, to validate the phone. Mind you, not everybody upgraded this weekend, but a few million did. For the sake of argument, we'll assume that's 1 million a day. So, instead of the normall traffic of 22K phones a day, those activation servers got SLAMMED with 1.33 million activations per day.
It ***** that some people had delays and hiccups and a hard time and everything, but completely understandable. With luck things will run more smoothly from here on out.

Internet Explorer Scroll Problem

Hi, I have run into a major issue with internet explorer and my new website. If you have a way to check this out on internet explorer than i would greatly appreciate it. What it is is like a choppy, shutter effect when a person scrolls down the page. (You can check it out for yourself at: http://www.thelighthouseoflapeer.org. It just butchers my design. Any thoughts or fixes to this issue?

Recently, the Yahoo Toolbar and the Babylon extension have been reported to cause that problem. They seem to overlap invisibly over the top of the web page display. If you have either or both, uninstall or disable them/it, or see if an update is available that solves the problem.

Internet Explorer 7 problem

I have installed the new Internet Explorer 7 and I have the
next problem: I cannot open the links in a new window or new tab. I
use getURL command with setting _blank. But the new link open the
IE7 in a self window and tab. How can I open the links
in a new window or in a new tab in same window? (I use Flash
MX2004.)

Are you asking what the JavaScript function is? :) If so,
it's
window.open(), as recommended by anonymous thing. Use Google
to find out

installed any of the betas, and I haven't installed the IE7

JavaScript can be triggered by getURL(), as explained by
anonymous
thing. It can also be triggered with asfunction and the new
(as of Flash 8)
ExternalInterface class, which is the current recommendation.
You
mentioned you're working with Flash MX 2004, so that choice
won't be
available in your case.

Internet Explorer Login Problem

This application, as you can see, is being called from a subdomain. Presents no problem as Chome browser, Firefox, Opera and Safari but in Internet Explorer passes to block cookies and delete the form wwv_flow.accept sessions.
I am using a validation process itself runs only:

Adobe upgrade fails because of Internet Explorer upgrade

When I try to download the Adobe Acrabat XI upgrade, it tells me I need to upgrade Internet Explorer past version 4, but I'm using version 10. What do I do to get past this?

My Yahoo mail has a problem. I cannot use a 'contact' to sned mail. If I go through Internet Explorer the problem disappears.

I have used Firefox a long time without trouble. I recently switched to 'Google Chrome'. When I decided to return to Firefox--I found that I was unable to send mail using a 'contact address' in Yahoo. When I tried using Internet Explorer to send me in Yahoo--It worked without any problem.

Internet Explorer Alignment Problem!

Hey guys,
Ive just recently developed a website using mainly dreamweaver... Now i've just realised a problem. The website looks perfect and as it should when you open it in Firefox. However, if you open it in Internet Explorer the top banner isn't aligned correctly which the background image... also the text is centered when it should be aligned left.
Can anyone please shed some light on what the hell is happening here?

Kaspersky save banking module causes Firefox to crash; in Internet Explorer no problem

Problem relates to combination of Pc Win 8.1, using Firefox 34, Kaspersky Internet Security 2015 and Rabo Internet banking. When I use Internet Explorer, utilise the KIS Save Banking Module and log in to the Rabo site, all goes well. When I do the same with Firefox, the browser opens a save window and waits for Rabo to connect. This goes on endless and the Firefox window gives "does not react". The only way of continueing is closing Firefox and start all over again. When I switch of the Save Banking module there is also no problem i.e. that the https site of Rabo works as normal. In earlier releases of KIS the problem never occurred.
Rabo technicians say, that there is no problem with their certificate (which indeed seems not the problem). Kaspersky says that Firefox updates so quickly, that development of compatible add-ons is difficult.
What do I wrong?

This Rapid Release schedule has been in effect for well over 3 years now ''[started with Firefox 5.0 on June 21, 2011]'' - so it's not "new".
Ask Kaspersky why they even offer add-ons for Firefox if they can't keep up with Firefox updates. ''FWIW, Chrome is on the same type of 6 week update routine that Mozilla uses, but with Chrome their updates are hidden and can install an update without Chrome even being open. Their "updater" runs whenever the PC is running; unlike Firefox which "looks for" updates while Firefox is running.''
Also, Norton / Symantec along with AVG are able to keep up with the Firefox Rapid Release schedule, and Roboform is fairly consistent; ask Kaspersky why "they" say ''and prove'' they are unable to keep up?
IMO, they're selling a product with features that they have no intention of keeping updated properly or in a timely manner. ''And I wonder how the US boycott of their home country's economy might be impacting their updates.''

Internet Explorer Flash Problems

Hey guys,
I'm putting an swf on a website and it's working great except for IE. (Although it works great in IE 9).
In some versions of IE it will start to play then stop as if the video was never load and in others it
will just go white.
It works great in other browsers, just our favorite browser IE seems to screw it up (big surprise).
Any idea's?
