Hi,
I have a problem when trying to sign emails with an X.509 certificate in Outlook 2010. I constantly get the error message. The certificate is Verified for the email address I'm sending from.
"Invalid Certificate
Microsoft Outlook cannot sign or encrypt this message because you have no certificates which can be
used to send from your e-mail address."I have no problem with signing documents in Word 2010 with the same certificate, only when trying to send email.Every check I can perform confirms that there's nothing wrong with the certificate. Yet, Outlook still says it is invalid.I have even tried installing a second X.509 for the same email address just to check. Outlook doesn't seem to like either certificate.I know this has been posted before, but I'm completely stuck here.Thanks,~Dan

You may have checked the option "Encrypt contents and attachments for outgoing messages" in Outlook, please uncheck this to test if the problem persists.
File -> Options -> Trust Center -> Trust Center Settings -> E-mail Security -> Clear the checkbox "Encrypt contents and attachments for outgoing messages" -> OK.

    No, I do not get any error message. Everything appears fine in Itunes, it's just when I disconnect ipod and all songs are missing. Apparently, others have said they update to itunes 7.5 and it fixes it BUT if you don't have Windows XP or Vista, it won't update. So until I figure a way to get IPOD v. 1.2.2 to work with itunes 7.3.2, I cannot see my songs on ipod.

  • Outlook 2013: Cannot sign or encrypt messages

    I've done clean install of Windows 8.1 and forgot to copy my certificate. Luckily I have offsite backup so I imported the certificate into path
    "Certificates\Personal\Certificates" in MMC console (under my user account as well as computer account).
    But I cannot sign or encrypt messages in Outlook 2013. Outlook says "Outlook had problems encrypting this message because the following recipients had missing or invalid certificates (my e-mail address here)".
    Moreover I cannot see incoming encrypted messages, Outlook says "Sorry, we're having trouble opening this item. This could be temporary, but if you see it again you might want to restart Outlook. Your Digital ID name cannot be found by the underlying
    security system."
    I checked E-mail Security in Trust Center and everything seems to be OK, my certificate/DigitalID is installed, enabled  and valid. I also have imported colleague's valid certificate in
    "Certificates\Trusted People\Certificates".
    I have Audit Failure in Event Log which says:

    Hi, guys
    I cannot view delegate mailbox in Outlook. Following is my configure.
    I have two mailbox A-User and B-User
    Login Outlook as A-User, click File -> Account Settings -> Delegate Access, add B-User and give Editor permission of Inbox.
    Right click A-User's root inbox and select Properties -> Permission, select B-User and check "Folder visible".
    Login Outlook as B-User on other computer, click File -> Account Settings -> Account Settings, select B-User and click Change -> More Settings -> Advanced, add A-User.
    Now I can see a root A-User in Navigation Pane. But when I click it, it shows
    "Cannot display the folder. Microsoft Outlook cannot access the specified folder location."
    or
    "Cannot display the folder. Microsoft Outlook cannot access the specified folder location. The operation failed. An object cannot be found".
    I searched some solutions from internet, but all of them don't work. Could you give some suggestions?

    Do not delete the old account yet. sign up for an iCloud account if you haven't.

    You cannot use .mac or MobileMe as type of Account, you have to choose IMAP when setting up, otherwise Mail is hard coded to change imap.mail.me.com to mail.me.com & smtp.mail.me.com to smtp.me.com, no matter what you try to enter.
    iCloud Mail setup, do not choose .mac or MobileMe as type, but choose IMAP...
    On second step where it asks "Description", it has to be a unique name, but you can still use your email address.
    IMAP (Incoming Mail Server) information:
              •          Server name: imap.mail.me.com
              •          SSL Required: Yes
              •          Port: 993
              •          Username: [email protected] (use your @me.com address from your iCloud account)
              •          Password: Your iCloud password
    SMTP (outgoing mail server) information:
              •          Server name: smtp.mail.me.com
              •          SSL Required: Yes
              •          Port: 587
              •          SMTP Authentication Required: Yes
              •          Username: [email protected] (use your @me.com address from your iCloud account)
              •          Password: Your iCloud password
    Also, you must upgrade your password to meet the new criteria:  8 characters, including upper and lower case and numbers.  If you have an older password that does not meet these criteria, when you try to setup mail on your mac, using all of the IMAP criteria listed above, it will still give a server error message.  Go to   http://appleid.apple.com         then follow directions to change your password, then go back to setting up your mail using the IMAP instructions above.

    In my environment, we have 10.1.2 that's currently packaged. Our CIO was able to sign documents via signature with no problem. Later he got updated to 10.1.9, no longer can sign.
    During testing I was able to confirm that 10.1.2 signed without problems, but anything that, it goes kaput, the Sign and options are not listed.
    Latest Adobe Reader can sign... any ideas?

    I'm having a similar problem.  What I'm trying to do is print a Microsoft Word 2010 document with paper size A4 to Adobe pdf document paper size A4.  I select "A4" for paper size in word and then print using Adobe print standard settings.  What I get is an Adobe document in 8.5 x 11.  This is an issue because these are patent documents for electronic filing in WIPO and they must be in A4 size.
    If I select other sizes in Word, such as A3, Tabloid, and Legal, the Adobe file is in the same paper size.
    If I print a Powerpoint document in A4 to Adobe, the Adobe file page size is A4.
    If I print an Adobe file in 8.5 x11 to Adobe A4, the second Adobe file is in A4.
    Any help?

    I want signed and encrypted file on my target side from my second XI server.But i have to use FTPS receiver adapter at my second XI server.Now while encrypting my msz,i m have to use multiple certificates.The problem and limitation is, that the FTPS adapter is only taking/accepting the first SOAP attachment and is ignoring any further. This means, that the attached signature would be ignored by FTPS adapter.So, m validating the same at my First XI server so that it goes a single message to my second XI server.Hope it's clear now..

    This happened to me as well. I read somewhere else that resetting the network settings (General, Reset, Reset Network Settings) would help and it partially did. I get half (the folders) of the Web Access screen rather than a blank screen. I tried tihs a few more times and got the right half (the messages) on occasion but never the whole web page.

    I'm now getting a little frustrated because I still haven't managed to log into the ovi store. I had two accounts with the same email add and I deleted both of accounts losing all my files on ovi.com. I wanted to start afresh now that i got the N97. So I re-registered with only one user name and password (one account) but I'm still getting this error "Sorry, you cannot sign in at this time. Try again later." 
    Why hasn't the nokia/ovi database completely deleted my previous details? this shows that I'm still in the system with my email add. I can't start creating new email accounts just because of ovi. Is there a way round this? thanx

    It sounds like you either have a bad Internet connection or the iCloud server is offline more than normal.
    Can you access other sites in Safari when this happens?

    Once you have the fastest domain name servers, you then have to manually change your DNS settings in System Preferences/Network/
    Select different browsers under the popup. I got varying results when using different browsers. Surprisingly, Firefox suggest Google Public DNS as primary, but Chrome and Safari gave me same settings.
    System Preferences > Network > Select you internet service (be it Airport, Ethernet etc) then click advanced tab > Select  DNS and enter the settings

  • I keep gettin updates from my app store but yet when I go in and update all it starts the update and then pops up and tells me that the application cannot be downloaded at this time. I have had to delete a few apps bc this isn't working.

    First check that your device is not full, maybe you may have to delete some photos or apps to make space to do updates. if its not full then you will have to try pluging it into your pc/mac running itunes then doing a backup and restore. Then you should be able to do your updates.
    Sorry but i cant think of any other way if its showing as installed already but is not there.

    There are a couple things that I would recommend trying.  Try closing all open applications and power cycle the device.  Next, go through the section labeled Troubleshoot issues on an iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch in the second article below.  If the issue persists, try completely signing out of the iTunes Store on the iOS device and sign back in.  Be sure to test downloading an application after each step.

    Until recently, I have not encountered this problem.  And I am facing this problem for both my iPad and iPhone. 
    I only have 1 iTunes account and the most recent change was that I switched the location from Singapore to UK (I'm currently in the UK).  I also updated my applications a couple of times before since the change in location, so I doubt it's due to the location change.  I've tried signing out of the account in the iTunes accounts on the devices, then signing back in.  I've also tried restarting the devices (and for the iPad, I even updated the iOS). 
    Any idea what else I can do to try to rectify this?

    1.  Yup, my iOS is the latest (6.0.1), and I have 7 apps on my iPhone that apparently have updates.  But it's been 6.0.1 for quite some time and I've also been able to update the apps till just this week.
    2.  I don't have a credit card associated with my account anymore.  Ever since I changed the location, I removed the credit card details.  But I didn't have problems with any of my apps (updating or downloading new ones) until this week.  Also, all the apps I've downloaded since I came to the UK are free apps. 
    I still don't know what's wrong.
