Inventory Business Content (0IC_03)

I have completed my work on Sandbox and am about to implement a model on the Development platform which will than be transported to QA and finally development.
On the Development Box most of the objects, cubes queries etc have already been activated whereas they are not activated on QA or production.
What approach should I take so that these objects are transported, should I reactivate and if so do I need to deactivate (how would this be done). Thanks a step by step would be great?

Hi Niten,
you do not need to activate once aagin the structures, if you do not have the corresponding Change Request create them going in RSA1 --> Transport Connection.
In this section select your structure and drag it in right section.
Pay attention to select the right Grouping (pay attention to Data Flow Before and After, it is too big).
Pay attentio to transport Update Rules only after Cubes and InfoSources.

hi Niten,
by choosing that 0IC_C03 and using grouping 'in dataflow afterward' in business content activation, you should get all the queries.
you can cross check in rsa1->metadata repository->local object (business content).

After activation of atandard business content key figure is not visible

Hi all,
I am trying to implement inventory management scnerio in BW3.5 using screen shot PDF , for this i activate standard business content ( cube : 0IC_c03 ) and activate all its related object . one of my key figure 0RECVS_VAL I want to change its parameter for this when I search this infoobject in Infoobject tree this is not visible
while its present in cube 0IC_c03 ,can anybody tell me for changing in this key figure what can i do???

Problem while installing a query from Business Content

Hi all of you,
I am trying to install this particular query Inventory Turnover from the cube 0IC_C03 (Material/Stock Movements) from Business Content. Now in the third pane in Business Content under Active version available column across the name of this cube there is a calendar symbol.
a.     So does it mean that the cube 0IC_C03 (Material/Stock Movements) is installed along with all the objects that are dependent on the cube and all those objects on which the cube is dependent. (NOTE: I had selected the grouping option as In data flow afterwars)
b.     When I collapse Query Element I find that some of the queries are not installed. So I expanded Inventory Turnover query, right clicked on it and selected Install All Below.
c.     I am getting this error, Abort system error in program SAPLRRI2 and form LI_SETZEN-01- when I execute the query Inventory Turnover. However in Business Content when I installed the report Inventory Turnover under the cube Material Stock/Movement I didnt get any error anywhere. Everything was activated successfully without any errors.
Please tell me how do I install this Inventory Turnover from business content and how do I execute this report from BEx.

Thank you for that quick reply. I want to activate only the query and not the cube. I did as you advise me but still I am getting the same error when I run the Inventory turnover report from BEx.
I am able to run other reports from the cube IC_C03. But not this report Inventory turnover. I have also checked the cube and there is data in the cube.

Error in Activating the Business Content Infocube 0CRM_C08

Hi Experts,
when iam trying to activating the business content infocube 0CRM_C08
iam getting few errors
Error-1:- Characteristic 0COUNTY_CDE is still being used as target of transfer rule ZCOUNTY_TEXT
Error-2:- Char. 0CRM_OBTYP3 is exclusively an attribute (cannot be a navigation attribute)
Error-3:- Authorization field CRM_SALORG still being used in authorization objects
Error-4:- Cannot delete authorization field of InfoObject 0CRM_SALORG
Error-5:- InfoObject ZDGTDCODE is used in transfer rules (1CL_OMAT001_BB) of characteristic 0MATERIA
Can anyone please clarify regarding these kind of errors.
What i have to do for make a successfull activation

ERROR while activating the Business Content of Sales Cube 0SD_C03

iam facing an error, iam getting the error while activating the Business Content sales info cube and Inventory info cube with the collection option DATA FLOW BEFORE. In my system the service pack was 14, what shall be the approach. Here iam getting the error like some 0DB-- objects are not available in the D version. if u have any solution for this please share with use also.
Please treat this as an urgent, because we are unable to proceed with the further Business Content Activation.

Error during activation of business content

Hi
I am facing problems during the activation of the standard business content.
I am trying to activate the infocube 0ic_c03 material stock movement. We are using BW version 3.5 patch level 13.
while activating the business content and using the grouping "in data flow before" there are several errors which come up during the simulation install such as
infoobject XXX is not available in version A
Error when reading data target XXXX
Data source XX not mantained
Key figure XXX is not available in version D
In order to avoid activating pre-installed objects i have deselected them.
I am in urgent need of some help. So any ideas that will help to resolve my problem are assured of being rewarded handsomely!!

Thanks the responses have been encouraging and i do see a glimmer of hope
since i am fairly new at this I wanted to know
1. does it make sense to install (or activate) the infoobjects which are shown as not available in version A individually and then trying the install of the infocube. It does remove the errors associated with the infoObject as i saw with one infoobject. Does this have any other impact
2. For the data sources i went to rsa5 on the source r3 system. but the data sources listed in the errors were not found (the data source errors that are shown are of the type 0DBDUNS_IMPORT_XXX). Also it is my understanding that the data sources that are required for the inventory cube are 2lis_03_bx , 2lis_03_bf and 2lis_03_um. Is this correct? I do not see them indicated in these errors. What do i do once i am in rsa5 and i select these datasources?

Does anybody know if there are bi 7.0 business content for Labor Health in companies which aren´t hospitals or health centers.

Business content infosource

Hi All,
How do I do a comparison between the active infosource (2LIS_03_BF) vs. the business content infosource, or just to view the business content info source. I am interested in both the communication structure and the transfer rule. The current active infosource in the system was from release 2.x prior ro our system upgrade to release 3.5. I need to implement the new 0IC_C03 inventory cube. The old 2LIS_03_BF infosource was customized to load a different info cube.
Any help will be greatly appreciated. I will assign points for those who are spending their time to help!!

I looked at help.sap.com and did not find the fields for the communication structure and transfer rule for info source 2LIS_03_BF. Can you point me to the right direction?
Also, I was hoping that there are some SAP utilities where it would show the differences between the active version vs. the business content version for the infosource. Such as the one available in the info object display.

Business content extractors

Hi All,
Why is it suggested to use business content extractors when compared to custom generated extractors? performance ?? if yes, how does it affect...
can anyone please explain??

Not really for performance, but because the Business content are predefinited into real scenario of business.
In many case to define a complete scenario (example inventory management or CRM activity...) without BI content you must define houndreds of objects and connect them to the object of source system.
With BI contect (and extractors) you can start with a great part of your object already defined. (after I think you need to define your custom object).
Second the standard extractor will be mantained from SAP to be coerent to the SAP application (inventory management, CRM, ...)
Are these the main reasons to suggest the Business content extractors.

Business Content Loads

We are looking at building a new Inventory model, in a test environment which has the standard Business Content cube, extractors etc activated.
At the moment the extractors have been loaded to a ZInventory cube. What I need to know is can I just carry out loads from the BX, BF and UM extractors directly to the Business Content cube which has never been loaded or do I need to follow the steps outlined in the How to Inventory Management guide? What are the info-objects in the ZInventory Cube? I guess the info-sources, update rules and the info-objects are the same as that for the standard cube(though you are not using it). If that is the case then you could load it in the same way as the How to Inventory Management guide.
Also speak to the business owners why they went in for a Z Cube as there must have been a valid reason for this. You could then reason out if following the steps in the How to Inventory Management guide serves your purpose or not.

3.x Update rules does not appear in std 0IC_C03 business content

Hi,
We are using BI 7.0.
When trying to install business content update rules for the cube 0IC_C03 (DATA FLOW BEFORE), the three update rules are not appearing in the screen for installation.
Instead , I'm getting three Transformations !! But I need 3.x Update rules only.
Note : The data source used are of type 3.x ONLY.

Hi,
When you Create the update rules manually by default Keyfigures will be set to no-update. You have to propose the rules as you want and it depends on the requirement. And for 0IC_C03 Inventory Cube, almost all the Kfigs are updated based on Routines.
So it is better to Install from BI Content.
Replicate your Datasources. Then Install Transfer rules,and then Install update rules.
