Inventory posting-default baseline date

Hi Expert!
i have opened a forum regarding invoice posting-how to set document date to be as the dafault baseline date in MIRO,FB60,FB65,FV60 and FV65.. I got the path given by prashant "SPRO=>FA=>Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable=>Business Transactions=>Incoming Invoices/Credit Memos=>Maintain Terms of Payment" but will it affected to all company codes?? I only want to set it up for 2 company codes only.. is it possible to do so?
Then one more thing is, in the path i can see payment terms 0001, 0002 and 0003 but however they're different than payment terms which are being using currently..K160,K165... where can i check payment terms againts company code?
Please advise..

Hi,
You use the standard terms of payment or customize terms as per your requirement with default baseline date controls.
These are stored in table V_T052.  You can choose any of these terms as per your requirement.  If you use page up or down
key, you go to the next page and see other terms or click positiion tab to view K160 or K165.  These terms of payments
are either assigned during transaction or directly assigned to Vendor Master or Customer Master in Company Code data.
If you want to see the terms of payment assigned to the vendors/customer in two of these company codes use SE16N
and view through tables LFB1(vendors) KNB1(Customers).  You cannot make a specific assignment to the company code.

  • How to get default baseline date in a payment terms

    Hi,
We have around 160 payment terms used in our system. We want to get the default baseline date for all these payment terms. Going to each individual payment terms and getting the default baseline date is a cumbersome job.
Is there any easy way to get the default baseline date for each of the payment terms, like from any table or anything else. I have tried table T052. But it does not have default baseline date.
    Please help.

    Hello Bibhu,
default baseline date is a customizing setting in paymentterms. That's the only way.
I have no idea why TC lsmw is recommended, definetely the wrong way.

  • Reverse the inventory posting to earilier date

    hi,
we have createed some deliveries sucefully with eralier dates i.e dec 2008,why because corresponding sales orders r created on dec '08, but for one delivery by mistake GI Date has taken as current date ie jan 2009, so that we have reverseed the PGI,but inventory posted in jan 2009, is there any posiabilty of posting the same invetory in dec 2008.Can anybody help me.
    Thanks in advance

    Hi vijay,
In SAP the inventory is kept per period.
If you did GR in Dec 2008 and then did GI in Jan 2009, there is still stock in Dec 2008
You can check table MARDH to see historical inventory
Suppose you did GR of 1 EA in Dec 2008. At the beginning of Jan 2009, you have
    Dec 2008: 1 (MARDH)
    Jan 2009: 1 (MARD)
After you did PGI in Jan 2009, you have
    Dec 2008: 1 (MARDH)
    Jan 2009: 0 (MARD)
After you cancel the PGI in Jan 2009, you have
    Dec 2008: 1 (MARDH)
    Jan 2009: 1 (MARD)
So theorectically, you can post PGI in Dec 2008 because you have stock in that month
If you post PGI in Dec 2008 now, you will have
    Dec 2008: 0 (MARDH)
    Jan 2009: 0 (MARD)
But it depends if you accounting period is closed for Dec 2008 or not
If not, I think you can post the PGI in Dec 2008

    Hi Team.
    Kindly, Help me.
can any one guide or suggest me that SAP Note no-112385, How will implement in system.
Pls share step and what i have to do for that.
My requriment is base line date is coming worng in billing document.
    Thanks
    Dhirendra.

    Hi habib,
If you feeel this answer solve your query please reward with points.
once the billing doucment is generated in sd.  Then automatcally accounting doucment will be gnerated if you would have done revenue account determinationt and release to accountg.  Coming to your point once the billing doucment cancelled in sd the following accounting document you have to reverse there is no cancellation of accounting document.  in fb08 you can do this things related to the following invoice.  and you will get what ever the result you want. Once you reverse it there is no open item for that billing doucment.  I hope u will understood the concept

  • Default due date , payment method when posting invoice with Special G/L

    Hi Gurus,
I have a question is when I am posting an invocie to a vendor (FB60), Due On date, payment method  are automatically calculated based on the defaulted baseline date and the payment term in the vendor master. But when I am posting the invocie to the same vendor with Special G/L indicator, Due On date, payment method are not automatically calculated and system are expecting me to enter this date manually. Is there a way we can default this Due On date, payment thod based on payment term like it happens when posting to other invoices without Sp GL indicator ?
    Thanks
Edited by: Ngoc Hoang on Nov 29, 2011 8:30 AM

    Dear Ngog,
In general, special G/L transactions are used to map special processes
to be stated separately in the balance sheet. So if you use special GL
indicator, the fields relevant to payment terms (including baseline
date) are not displayed. This is not controlled by field status.
To make the fields You need ready for input for posting
with special G/L indicator, the following Customizing setting is
    necessary:
Financial Accounting -> Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable
->Business Transactions -> Outgoing Payments -> Automatic Outgoing
    Payment-> Payment Method/Bank Selection -> Configure payment program ->
All company codes -> double-click on corresponding company code -> under
Vendor -> 'Sp. G/L transactions to be paid' you should enter the special
    G/L indicator A,B, etc.
As explained in SAP note 4683, the only standard possibility to get the
field payment terms on creating a posting with a special G/L indicator
is by setting in the payment program configuration (trans. FBKP) for
'All company codes' for customers/vendors 'Sp. G/L transaction to be
    paid'.

  • Posting date as Baseline Date in Residual item

    Hello,
While clearing a document with Residual Clearing method through F-28 system is automatically proposing end of the month as Baseline Date for the residual item (newly created item for the balance amount), whereas we want it to be the posting/document date but not the monthend as proposed by the system. Eventhough we have selected the option for default baseline date as posting date/document date in Payment Terms, system is proposing monthend date as baseline date for the residual item. I have set payment terms in customer master record as 0001 (immediate payment).
Because of the settings made for default baseline date in payment terms (SPRO/AR-AP) system is proposing document date as baseline date for new documents being posted, but we are facing problem only in case of residual items (new item created for the balance amount while doing residual clearing).
Please let me know the procedure to change the settings, so that posting/document date will become default baseline date for the newly created open item while doing residual clearing.
    Thanks in Advance

    Hi,
Try to take a look the setting of the following transaction,
    IMG> FA> AR & AP> Business Transactions> Incoming Payments> Manual Incoming Payments> Define Tolerances
See what has been set for payment term for Residual Items.

  • Baseline date not as default setting

    HI all,
payment term Z000 has default baseline date as posting date.
upon entry, doc date = 01.01.2006, posting date = 31.01.2006 BUT baseline date picks up 01.01.2006.
what other setting did the system checks?
    thanks.

    Hi
in customising  for terms of payment you must set for default for baseline date
    the  posting date and
    not the document date
this is the reason for the problem

  • Invoice posting - set document date as baseline date

    Hi Expert!
I have issue regardig invoice posting.
When invoice posting transactions are done, the baseline date in the transaction is changing due to unknown reasons. The baseline date should not change and should be the document date. This in turn is having effects on the culculation of the due date for the payment terms.
In this case, i would like to make the document date as the default baseline date and remove the option of changing the baseline date. Please guide me on how to do it step by step.. Please also advise step by step how can i do that in transaction MIRO, FB60, FV60, FB65 and FV65..
    Thanks..

    prashant,
let say i have 3 company codes but i want to set the document date as the default for baseline date only for 2 company codes, how? If i tick on document date in the path u've given, will it be affected to all of company codes?
Where can i check for the payment terms against company code? Because payment terms in the path u've given seems like different than what is being using in the PO currently..
In the path there are 0001, 0002 and 0003 but payment terms which are being using in the PO are K160, K162....
    Please advise..

  • Invoice posting-baseline date-uneditable field

    Hi Expert!
Is there any way to make default baseline date field in MIRO,FB60,FB65,FV60 and FV65 as unchangeable field? I set the document date as the default baseline date but is there any way to make it unchageable for a specific company code only?
    Thanks

    Hi,
For making the baseline payment date uneditable, use this path :
Financial Accounting(New) > Financial Accounting Global Settings > Document > Rules for changing documents >
Document Change Rules line item > choose Account type K + Field Name BSEG-ZFBDT > click copy as and
in the change view enter your Company Code and remove the tick from the box of possiblity of changing field
"Field can be changed" and save the entries.

  • Baseline Date as the Document Date

    Hi,
I have a query on Payment Terms which we maintain in the Posting Parameters->Postings Tab page in RE-FX Lease Out Contract.
I maintain a payment term for 10 days in the RE-FX Contract.
I have maintained a Condition which is due on 1st of every month with a monthly frequency.
When i simulate the contract for planned Cash Flow, it shows me the conditions which are due to be posted on 1st of every month. Now, here is a scenario wherein I am unable to post the conditions through Periodic Posting (RERAPP) on 1st and i eventually carry out the Posting on 16th of that month. Hence I maintain Document Date and Posting date in the T Code RERAPP (Periodic Posting) as 16th of that month.
Now when i open the Customer Line Items in FBL5N, i find that the Document Date and Posting date to be 16th whereas the Baseline date to be 1st of that month. This makes the calculation of Due Date totally wrong since the system takes 1st of that month as Baseline Date and adds Payment Term days (10 days) to it and shows 11th of that month as the Net due date (which instead should have been 26th of that month.
I tried changing the definition of Baseline Date in the Payment Terms definition to Document Date but it still did not bring the desired effect.

    Hi,
I face similar problem but not involving TRM.
I've payment term set-up in OBB8 and stating default baseline date = document date.
But in FBL5N system is always retrieving posting date as baseline date. Is there any other setting prevailing over payment term definition?

    atanu

    Hi Atanu,
Base line date will be used for clearing payments in FI.
Base line date can be defaulted based on your payment terms too i.e.
    (a) No Default
    (b) Based on your posting date
    (c) Based on your document date
    (d) Based on you Entry date.
Hope this informaion will be useful

  • Billing created on date as the baseline date in FBL5N

    Hello All,
We have a requirement where the baseline date in FBL5N (BSEG-ZFBDT) should be the Billing document created ( VBRK-ERDAT) and not the accounting document created on date.
I tried changing the Payment terms to "Document date" but it does not work either. The fields in the payment terms for base line date ( Document date, posting date, entry date ) refer to the accounting document and not the Billing document.
Please let me know how to go about this.
Thanks for your help in advance.
