"Invisible" e-mail in my Inbox

Here's a weird one that I can't figure out. Several days ago, I was mass deleting about 25 e-mails from my inbox (POP account). After selecting the ones to delete, I hit the "delete" button, & my iPhone froze. After resetting, those messages were no longer in my inbox, but they weren't in my Trash folder, either.
Later, I noticed in my Inbox that there were 25 empty slots. Like a regular e-mail, but with no address, message info, etc. Only the little arrow at the right. When I press any of those arrows, the empty slot just turns blue and stays that way.
If I press the Delete button at the top to delete, I get the little circles besides each, but I can't select them. If I do the finger swipe to delete individually, I get the red "delete" button for that message. But, when I press that, Mail crashes & the screen goes back to my Main 1st apps page.
Also, if I have one new e-mail in my inbox & am reading that, the top of the screen will read "1 of 26" instead of "1 of 1."
I have tried deleting the account & adding it back to my phone, but those "invisible" messages are still there. These messages don't show up in my Mail inbox on my computer, or in my Webmail inbox when I log on to that. Anyone have any ideas on how to get rid of these?

There's nothing on the Roadrunner server. I have it set to remove mail from their server once it gets to my computer. So, my server inbox is empty. These messages are also not anywhere in the mail program on my computer. Only on my phone.

I switched e-mail clients from windows live to thunderbird in mid december to alleviate problems in sending group e-mail. I have thunderbird on a different laptop and the product works flawlessly. The client works flawlessly with one exception: It automatically deletes any read e-mail in my inbox every 14 days without any input from me. I have had ITOK & Hughes.net look at the problem as I am using my inbox as a staging area for for pending business that tracks progress of different events. I have checked settings and there are no evident features that I can switch on or off with that time frame. This has occurred 3 times since December and I have resorted to printing e-mails to prevent loss of data.
The desktop uses windows 7, IMAP for incoming mail...

Log into your account at the providers web mail page and look for any retention options that might be there. Do not put too much into what their help desk tells you. Most help desk agents are lucky to know that the ringing sound means to answer the phone.

Can't get into talk talk email account in Mozilla, you have undefined new mails in your inbox message. No problem with Internet Explorer though

I've been using the Firefox browser for nearly a year now but for the past three days I can't open my tiscali email account via Firefox. The message "you have undefined new mails in your inbox" comes up. Talk Talk technical help says there is a problem with Firefox and advised me to use Internet Explorer. I can get into my account through Explorer but would much prefer to use Firefox so please help me out.

Apparently TalkTalk mail will work with Firefox 4 and Firefox 5 ''if'' you set the browser to ''lie'' to TalkTalk mail by saying that you are still using version 3.6.

Note: when you open about:config the first time, it will display a warning message that you should be careful with the changes you make. That's definitely good to bear in mind.

Lost all my mail in my inbox +my mail account

lost all my mail in my inbox +my mail account settings except @mac.com after a crash of my system.
When I rebooted my mac, a pop-up from mail was telling me that it had created a new folder called "distributed" in replacement of the usual "sent items" folder. This last folder is still there but is empty.
Can I somehow recuperate the settings as it was before the crash?

Could be many things, we should start with this...

Then Safe Boot from the HD, (holding Shift key down at bootup), run Disk Utility in Applications>Utilities, then highlight your drive, click on Repair Permissions, reboot when it completes.
After we're sure those things are OK, we can go further.

If you're running Leopard, as your profile says, then you need to post your question in that forum, not the Snow Leopard forums. So if you're really running Snow Leopard, you need to update your profile to show that, as well as give more details about what kind of mail accounts you have, and who your email provider is.

How can I set up a rule to delete all messages older than 6 months left in Apple Mail's main inbox?
I have created other rules to move some of my daily messages into specific folders and I don't wish to auto-delete those.
Just the general stuff that keeps piling up in my me.com main email box. Mail such as FB announcements and other low priority stuff I want to look at before deleting but don't want to keep longer than a week or month.

Thanks, but I am looking for a more automated solution than hand marking emails as junk. I might as well move them to the trash myself.
Again, these are emails I want to receive and quickly read, but not keep longer than a week or month or so. By setting a rule to toss any older than 30 days back then my Mail program (and thus my hard drive) won't be wasting so much space. For example, currently I have over 6000 read messages, with their attachments, in my main email box. I'd rather not have to physically attend to sorting the one I don't want out.
The one I do keep for other reasons get moved into other folders.
It seems this should be possible.

I installed Firefox v. 3.6.15 on 3/21/2011. Since then Firefox crashes and closes completely when I click on certain e-mails in my inbox. How can I fix this?

I run v. 10.6.7 Mac OS X on my iMac. Java is v. 10.6, Update 4. My Adobe reader is v. 9.4.3. Clicking on random e-mails in my inbox causes Firefox to completely close. I get a window that says "Firefox quit unexpectedly". When I click on "Reopen" I get a window that says "Well, this is embarrassing. Firefox is having trouble recovering your windows and tabs. This is usually caused by a recently opened web page. There are no 'Crash ID(s), because my desktop goes back to the homepage because Firefox completely closes. Does anyone have instructions on how to correct this?

I'm missing mail in my Inbox from my .live account in Apple Mail. I'm using mbox with my hotmail account. If that made any sense?!

I'm all of a sudden missing old mail in my inbox labeled .live - I used mBox to set up my hotmail account with Apple Mail. It's not in the trash nor on my hotmail account online anymore. Hmmmm??? I already tried to rebuild and my mbox folder in the library seems fine. Anyone?? I only have about a month's worth of mail which made me think I had mistakenly selected some 'time frame' for keeping inbox messages but that doesn't seem to be the case.

Try re-indexing the mailboxes. This can take awhile if you have a lot of mail.

Problem in Triggering the Mail to SAP Inbox

Dear Experts,
                 I have a problem for triggering the Mail option to SAP Inbox.
We created a Job assigning the program RSEIDOCA,RSWUWFML2 by creating a variant for those programs. We are scheduling the job, It is showing as

I think, is there any authorization problem while triggering the mail for that particular user id.. Please tell me the solution, this is very high requirement for me.

It's always good to have a backup, but Snow Leopard should leave all your data intact, just install new OS components & updated Apple Apps.
If you don't have room to back everything up...
On Mail...
First Quit Mail, then I'd backup these two Mail folders, by right clicking on them in the Finder, then choose Archive/Compress.
Users/YourUserName/Library/Mail
Users/YourUserName/Library/Mail Downloads
(Could be a different folder here if you chose such in Mail Prefs)
Right click on that Mail folder, choose archive, you'll get everything in the folder, and the folder itself in a file called Mail.zip, move it to a safe place, same for the Mail Downloads folder... only the plist is separate.
/Users/YourUserName/Library/Preferences/com.apple.mail.plist
For Address Book, quit AB...
Files...
/Users/YourUserName/Library/Preferences/com.apple.AddressBook.plist

Sending mail to SAP Inbox thru actions

Hi Friends,
I am having a requirement as below:
Need to send one mail to SAP Inbox to the BP in one specific partner functions in an activity based upon the below conditions:
1) Status of the transaction is open
2) The Todays' Date -Created date =45
I believe this can be done using actions. Please let me know if this is possible. If yes let me know the simplest way and if know let me know the alternative way.

yes you can do this using actions
just create your action profiel and there you give processing type as smartforms
and then select your parameters\
there are some standard actions available in the system for that you can refer to them
then you inside the conditions give your conditions
attach your action profile to your transaction and then you have what u wanted
alternate way to achieve this is using FMs or workflows
