IOS 8.1.2 breaks Wifi and Bluetooth on iPhone 4s

Since I upgraded my iPhone 4s to IOS 8.1.2, i am unable to use wifi or bluetooth.
My wifi button is greyed out and I cannot turn it on.
Bluetooth will just display a spinning wheel when i turn it on.
I have tried resetting network settings twice, multiple re-boots/re-sets. Toggling Airplane mode. Turning off iCloud. All to no avail.
Just to be clear, this is not an intermittent issue or a slowdown or anything like that.
IOS 8.1.2 has completely disabled wifi and bluetooth.
Anyone else having these problems or got a resolution?

Yes, but first time in the several years to have a problem. Using Outlook on Mac with MS Exchange Server. I have Exchange set up on both iPhone and iPad. Talked to IT and they are making sure MS Exchange Server is fully updated tonight.

IOS 7 on iPhone 4S WiFi and Bluetooth greyed out. Help!

I upgraded to iOS 7 last night. WiFi and bluetooth were working fine. When I woke up today, the WiFi toggle in settings was greyed out and the bluetooth toggle was missing and kept showing the "waiting wheel". Help!!!!!

All done now - the issue is with the WiFi chip - and when you update IOS it checks all components out to see if they are working correctly, then shuts them down if they are not.
It is a hardware failure, and is pretty common with iphone 4S.... If your phone is over 12 months (and you didn't take out extended warranty) you have the pleasure of paying Apple £139 for a 'remanufactured' phone with 3 months warranty.
Nothing like my expectation for a premium product (with a premium price tag) - its a component durability issue, nothing to do with the user, an Apple component fault. However forget it if you think it is Apple's problem, if it is out of warranty, they aren't interested.My love affair with Apple products is over, google products here I come...

Remember for the iPhone to see and connect to Bluetooth devices they must be in, "Discovery Mode".

Has anyone else downloaded iOS 7 on a 4S and found the WiFi and Bluetooth don't work anymore?

I'm used to Apple products that "just work", but I'm not seeing it with the installation of iOS 7 on my phone (4S). I installed it earlier today, and the Wi-Fi and Bluetooth worked for about an hour, then just quit working altogether. The WiFi button is grayed out in Settings, and Bluetooth dosen't even display a button (all I get is a throbber that continuously spins). Trying to activate them through the "swipe-up" command center doesn't do the trick, and resetting the network settings also accomplishes nothing. Several reboots later, and I still don't have WiFi and Bluetooth.
Has anyone else experienced this, and is there a solution? I may just decide to eschew iOS 7 and restore my pph

After multiple attempts to restore and reboot, I finally decided to take a trip to my local AT & T store. They contacted Apple, and I explained the situation. I ended up moving to the iPhone 5, as my 4S was in the renew period. The 4S is still under warranty, so all I have to do is bring it to an Apple Store, where they will either fix or replace the phone. Looks like one of my kids will be getting a 4S :-)

I have updated my iphone 4s with the last version IOS 7.0.2.
At the beginning my screen freezing each time I enter numbers or letters (in iphone security code as well as texting in any app)
Now, my wifi and bluetooth are broken. I have tried to activate them 3 days and nothing. I am lost. I have no internet in my telephone plan, so, all my apps are not working anymore.
How can I go back to IOS 6?
My iphone will be working correctly again???

Downgrading the iOS is not supported at all.

If you do not have Wi-Fi, do your updating using computer iTunes.
Make sure you have the latest iTunes 11.1 before you begin.

TS1559 Wifi and bluetooth is not working on iOS 7.0.2

Its disappointing to see crazy bugs even after a .0.2 release. All the work rounds fail

I Am IT support for a large Company also using iPhone 4s. I can confirm this issue as employee's start upgrading to iOS7.0.2 Bluetooth and wifi working fine on iOS 6.x as soon as upgrade to 7.0.2 Wifi Toggle greyed out, No wifi MAC address, bluetooth not working.
Have tried all suggestions on various forums to no avail .
Even a DFU recovery and set up as a new iPhone failes to fix the issue.
Have advised users if they have this issue to return the phones to Apple.
Also discussing with Other IT collegues in company to send out a bulletine asking employees NOT to upgrade to iOS 7 at this stage.
Whilst my company iPhone upgraded fine, it would appear not all do. I suspect different versions of the WIFI and Bluetooth hardware would be the cause of this issue. This would explaine why some upgrade ok and others do not.

IOS 6.1.3: Loss of WiFi and Bluetooth

Since updating one of our team's iPhone 4s to iOS 6.1.3, WiFi and Bluetooth are no longer able to be enabled.
Same model phones are not having this issue.
Any suggestions? Resetting network connections and power cycling have not proven successful.

HT6154 iOS 7 and iPhone 4S - I lost my WiFi and Bluetooth capabilities last September with the new OS, and I THOUGHT it was actually fixed this morning with the latest release - my WiFi AND Bluetooth actually worked....for about 5 minutes, but no longer

I thought this latest OS release had fixed my WiFi and Bluetooth problem, but I was excited for only a minute! I actually was able to connect to my WiFi at home and paired my Bluetooth to my car - but after a few minutes, the Bluetooth automatically turned off and the WiFi no longer worked. Is there a FIX to this??? I know it's the OS that disabled them and I'm not paying $500 for a new phone when my upgrade is not availbe for another six months!!!!

My iPhone 4S did once again did lose it's wifi connection after running perfectly for about 8 weeks.
I was streaming Pandora Radio via bluetooth connection at the time, ( not sure if that has anything to do with why the wifi dropped out again, but I thought I'd mention it anyway)
But!.... I was able to get everything up and running perfectly again by simply grabing my girlfriend's hair dyer heated it up again for about 5 - 7 minutes ( the over heated message even appeared this time) then powered it off, warped it in a plastic bag, stuck it back in the freezer for 15 minutes, took it out of the freezer, powered it back on, and Abracadabra it works perfectly again!!!
Phone has been running perfectly AGAIN for about a week now.
One strange thing this time after fixing it for a second time is that the the little WiFi symbol no longer shows at the top of the screen, but the wifi connection and everything IS RUNNING PERFECTLY!
If all I've got to do once in a while, is spend about 20 minutes with a hairdryer and a freezer to keep my iPhone 4S running perfectly.....well I'm as happy as a pig in s*** :-)
And please no comments about how I have now voided my apple support etc. I never had any to begin with (it's a 2nd hand phone and I really couldn't care less about warranty issues etc etc etc..... The phone works, and that's all that matters to me!

My Air Drop feature is not working. I have an iPhone 5S running iOS 7.0.3, my wifi and blue tooth is on and I am set to "everyone" in control panel. I am not able to see anyone in the AirDrop box to be to share pics or contacts.

My wifi and Bluetooth is on, in control panel I have "Everyone" on, I cannot see other iOS devices that are using iPhone 5 or 5S. My phone is only a couple of weeks old and was purchased brand new and I am on AT&T. I can not see other devices and other devices can not see me. I checked the manuel and I don't see any other settings other then what I described above in regards to control panel. Anyone have a solution for me? Oh by the way I have rebooted my phone, did a hard reset 3 different times but still not working. I do have an active iClould account.

I read a previous blog from a Mac user who was having an AirDrop issue. He resolved it by deleting his icloud account and reinstalling it. I figured what will it hurt to try this with my iPhone 5S. Well I am happy to say it worked. I recall recently changing my Apple ID password. This must have affected the Airdrop feature. When I reloaded my IClould account it started working. I don't know why but it's something you can try if all else fails. Hope this helps someone.

I am in such a predicament - phone not been quite right since the 6.1 update and I was tolerating the inconvenience of switching off and on etc etc for the past couple of months and now the wifi and bluetooth are totally greyed out all the time - did every restore possible including back to factory settings - still no luck - please don't tell me that trying all the solutions over the past 2 months that temporarily worked for a few days at a time will now mean I have timed myself out of the 1 year warranty? arghhhhh (I can't believe that such an issue will create the response 'oh well, your problem - best just buy another one' ???)
I can't just drop everything and drive to the apple store and wait for hours every time there's a 'glitch' otherwise I may as well move nextdoor to the mall. They tell you to try and solve it yourself first - which I did - and now it's not responding to anything I try, will I be told - 'too late, out of warranty'???
I see theres an update for the iphone 5 that fixes wifi bugs - what about us 4s owners? even my 3 year old 3gs is still working on wifi (haven't dared to update it!) so don't start telling me to expect that the iphone will only last 13 months - NOT AT $600 a piece

well, you know how it is - glitches that usually resolve with a hard reset etc
then a restore. then a factory restore....then ..... nothing fixes so I try the next step with apple online - fill out my serial number and find it is a couple of weeks out of date - and then with the holidays who has time to get to the apple store? this is my second 4s handset as it is - first one the glass cracked from L to R without any impact/damage etc - they changed it out automatically because it's a 'known fault' apparently - so technically, this handset is only 6 months old - but warranty is from original purchase date -
never imagined it would turn out to be a warranty issue with the phone - and hey maybe when I get a chance to go to the apple store they'll be sympathetic, but I won't be able to get there till at least Jan 4th as it is. On the other hand, another iOS update might resolve the issue - but how long till that release? at the moment I'm having to use my old 3gs for wifi and 4s for phone!!!
