Ios8 phone screen is magnified

iPhone 5s.
This morning I updated to ios8.  Sometimes when something touches my phone screen it goes into a magnified view and I am unable to enter my passcode to use the phone. with ios7 it was easy to fix by simply resetting the phone by pressing the power and home buttons at the same time, but this doesn't work with ios8. How do I fix it now? I cant use my phone like this because I can't enter my pass ode to unlock my phone?!!!!!

Hello again,
To turn off Zoom in iOS 8 you do the following steps that says on the article (iOS: Home screen icons are magnified or large).
BUT when your at the accessibility part of the settings app, you select Zoom and there will be 4 settings that you will see.
Just turn off Zoom by tapping on the toggle switch.
If that doesn't work, you should try disabling Zoom via iTunes.
Hope this helps,
Dmaster4391.

hi, for some reason my iphone 4 screen is magnified. if anyone know how to fix this please help >.< thank you

If you have trouble turning Zoom off from your phone, connect the phone to iTunes, click the Summary tab, and click the "Configure Universal Access..." button. Select neither under the "Seeing" section and click "OK".

Many bugs are there in ios8 update.
After installing ios8 phone keep getting hanged. Apps are closed automatically

ios8 for my iphone 5 = crashes, hot phone, restarts, dropped calls, funny looking fuzzy 'senior picture screen' with frost on the perimeter.....  Just opening 'message' for texts takes 3-4 seconds to load, where previously, it was milliseconds latency speeds.  I think they pressed this OS beyond the reasonable functional limit of the hardware (phones), especially with the older phones and/or phones with less memory.
It's like an athlete on steroids, the bones can't handle the force of the muscles and something is gonna BREAK!
When did we ever come to think that $400 phones would become 2-4 year disposable items and revere at the glory of it all!  And whether we realize it or not, it's being shoved down our throats.
Just fix the OS please so my phone can work for me as it has in the past.
For the $$ being paid out, we shouldn't have to reset, restart, restore......

Depending on what iPhone you have when you get to the connect to wifi you should be able to activate your device over cellular data. Try doing a hard reset by holding the home circle button an power button until an apple pops up and the  go through the setup again and when you get to the wifi part a option should be setup with cellular data iPhone 4 and above should give this option sometimes doesn't like showing up that's why u have to do a hard reset first

  • Although photo appears beautiful on phone screen, when reviewed in gallery, half the picture has a large line going through it.  Any ideas?  I went to VZN and they replaced my first new phone 3 days ago for this same issue.

I'm sorry your pictures appear different in your gallery sillyymom. I know its frustrating with viewing important images. Are you using a 3rd party picture application? do you have any apps that may be conflicting with your pictures. Have you tried to review your picture settings?

  • Screen is magnified after viewing movie on television.

Screen is magnified after viewing movie on television.  It automatically goes larger when connecting to TV and usually goes smaller when disconnecting .  This time it has remained large.

It's normal that the things on the screen will change size when you change resolution.  A 64x64 icon on the desktop will be a very different size at 800x600 than at 1280x960.
You didn't say which MacBook Pro you have, so I don't know what the native resolution of the screen is (ie, the number of physical pixels in the screen), but it will be whatever the highest resolution is (bottom of the list, biggest numbers).

  • IOS 8.2 update resulted in the bottom of my 6plus phone screen (the wording below the 5 icons - favorites, recent, contacts, etc.) being cut off.  Fix?

iOS 8.2 update resulted in the bottom of my 6plus phone screen (the wording below the 5 icons - favorites, recent, contacts, etc.) being cut off.  Fix?

    Hi there Melinda,
As I understand it, it seems like a part of the screen isn't visible at the bottom. I would start by quitting all the running apps on the iPhone:
iOS: Force an app to close
    Double-click the Home button.
Swipe left or right until you have located the app you wish to close.
Swipe the app up to close it.
When you have done that restart the device and test the issue again:
iOS: Turning off and on (restarting) and resetting
I would next check to see if an Accessibility option enabled making the screen larger with iTunes:
    Use Accessibility features in iOS
Connect your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch to any computer with iTunes installed.
    In iTunes, select your device.
From the Summary pane, click > Configure Universal Access in the Options section at the bottom.
Select the feature you would like to use and click OK.
Thank you for using Apple Support Communities.
    Take care,
    Sterling

  • My i phone screen is black and an apple on it. I'm trying to connect it to computer to i tunes and it's not registering under devices. Any ideas?

My i phone screen is black and has an apple on it.  I tried connecting it to my computer but it is not recognizing it under devices.  Any Ideas?

You may have done this, but I'd try the home button/power button shutdown first....it sounds like it is hung up in the "boot" process somehow...if that doesn't work as paulcb said, recovery mode may be the only option..I suppose you could also try and let the battery fully discharge...

  • I phone screen is blank, have tried holding both buttons but not working

I phone screen is blank, have tried holding both buttons to reset but still will not work any suggestions?

    Hey damien1979,
Thanks for the question. I understand that you are experiencing issues with your iPhone 4. To completely isolate the issue, you may want to follow these steps:
Will not turn on, will not turn on unless connected to power, or unexpected power off
    1. Verify that the Sleep/Wake button functions. If it does not function, inspect it for signs of damage. If the button is damaged or is not functioning when pressed, seek service.
    2. Check if a Liquid Contact Indicator (LCI) is activated or there are signs of corrosion.
    Learn about LCIs and corrosion.
    3. Connect the iPhone to the iPhone's USB power adapter and let it charge for at least ten minutes.
    4. After at least 15 minutes, if:
                   - The home screen appears: The iPhone should be working. Update to the latest version of iOS if necessary. Continue charging it until it is completely charged and you see this battery icon in the upper-right corner of the screen. Then unplug the phone from power. If it immediately turns off, seek service.
                   - The low-battery image appears, even after the phone has charged for at least 20 minutes: See "iPhone displays the low-battery image and is unresponsive" symptom in this article.
                   - Something other than the Home screen or Low Battery image appears, continue with this article for further troubleshooting steps.
    5. If the iPhone did not turn on, reset it while connected to the iPhone USB power adapter.
                   - If the display turns on, go to step 4.
                   - If the display remains black, go to next step.
    6. Connect the iPhone to a computer and open iTunes. If iTunes recognizes the iPhone and indicates that it is in recovery mode, attempt to restore the iPhone. If the iPhone doesn't appear in iTunes or if you have difficulties in restoring the iPhone, see this article for further assistance.
    7. If restoring the iPhone resolved the issue, go to step 4. If restoring the iPhone did not solve the issue, seek service.
My issue is still not resolved. What do I do next?

  • Displaying the phone screen on a PC or a video

    Hi,
I have implemented an application for a Nokia N70 mobile phone (graduation project).
As i have to present my work, it would be surely very nice if all people attending
the presentation can see a demonstration of the tool projected on the wall.
Does any body know if there is a (free) software tool that enables sendig current phone screen in real time
to a connected computer, so that a connected beamer/projector will display it on the wall.
Any other ideas which fullfill the described task for the N70 device?
I am thankful for every help.
    Sincerely,
    huss

sry but n70 doesn't comes with a TV out option. And to the best of my knowledge there is no software available which lets you transfer the video via cable or bluetooth

Now the phone screen says to connect to iTunes but the phone is not recognised when plugged in. Using Windows 7 and phone not recognised by computer, let alone by iTunes.
Any suggestions? Happy to take it off to the the Apple genius people but would prefer to get it running myself.

It's too late. If you had been syncing your phone with that computer prior to the screen failing, it wouldn't be asking you for a passcode...
