  • Some of the newer shows and movies on my IPAD 2 show "cannot open content not authorized"

    All of my library plays on my MAC and Apple TV, but some of the newer shows and movies on my IPAD 2 show "cannot open content not authorized" . If I download them directly to my IPAD they will play. iPad and MAC are all up to date. I have restarted the IPAD 2 and MAC multiple times.

    I have the opposite issue. I play my tv shows and movies on itunes off my computer but all I get is the audio. The picture shows up in flashes every couple of times but does not stay on. I have the most recent Itunes (7.6.1)available and am running Windows Vista. Any help available?

  • Every movie purchase through iTunes fails to transfer to my iPhone or iPad and the message I get is this: some of the items in the itunes library, including were not copied to the ipad because you are not authorized for them on this computer... help?

    For a couple months now, every movie purchase through iTunes fails to transfer to my iPhone or iPad giving me the error: "some of the items in the iTunes library, including were not copied to the iPad because you are not authorized for them on this computer". I have read many forums about deleting, reinstalling, de-authorizing and authorizing my iMac through the iTunes store. Many suggestions don't work except to rename the movie to *.MP4 in Finder under the iTunes movie directory. I imagine this is a setting or a bug somewhere... any suggestions on how to bypass having to rename the files in Finder? My research into Google suggests this problem dates back to 2007 or so but it is now more prevalent than ever.
    Thanks.

  • Ipad2 sd movie cannot open content not authorized

    Downloaded SD movie onto ipad2 and it will not open to play. Get the message Cannot Open: Content not authorized. Using current version of OS, other SD movies in library play fine.

    Was the download complete? Did you stop halfway through the download of the movie?
    If you did, that could affect the issue.

  • Rented movie does not play after download if not connected to the internet

    rented movie does not play after download if not connected to the internet

    Hello b noir.
    Thank you for your interest in solving my problem.
    What I did I opened iTune. I read the information about what does my computener need to play back a rented movie. My computer is okay to play back rental movies. So I went to the iTunes store, I searched for the movie I want to watch, i singned in into my Mac account and I bought the movie. The movie started to download to my computer, it took some time because I bought a HD version, but it never stop and after a couple of hours or little less the movie was in the Rented folder of my iTunes and also I checked to be sure that was in the movie folder. So, next day I open iTunes and click on the movie, it opens but I wait for five minuetes and never started to play back, so I tried several time and I looked for info in different internet forums but I couldn't find anything that help. So I posted the problem in this forum and also I called Apple. Apple contacted me and they let me to download the movie again. So I did it and now I will watch the movie later. Not sure if the movie will play back normally or if I am going to have the same problem. I'll keep you posted.
    Apple representative did not know why this happened.
    Thanks.

  • Content not authorized

    Cannot for the life of me understand why purchased content on my desktop cannot be played on my AppleTV2, when all the music can be, getting the ubiquitous "Content not authorized" tried all the unplug/de-authorize steps. even hopped on one leg.. really trying my patience. Someone help for the love of gord..

    I have been unable to watch any NBC Sports Netweork programming on this app eventhough I have the Prime HD package which includes NBC Sports Network. This happens with a Windows or Android phone. I think there is an authorization problem between Verizon and the app. I have tried deleting and re-installaing with same result.

    lost my unwatched rented movie is not on my laptop...where can I find it?

    Normally I'd offer this advice...
    Empty/corrupt library after upgrade/crash
    Hopefully it's not been too long since you last upgraded iTunes, in fact if you get an empty/incomplete library immediately after upgrading then with the following steps you shouldn't lose a thing or need to do any further housekeeping. In the Previous iTunes Libraries folder should be a number of dated iTunes Library files. Take the most recent of these and copy it into the iTunes folder. Rename iTunes Library.itl as iTunes Library (Corrupt).itl and then rename the restored file as iTunes Library.itl. Start iTunes. Should all be good, bar any recent additions to or deletions from your library.
    See iTunes Folder Watch for a tool to catch up with any changes since the backup file was created.
    When you get it all working make a backup!
    iTunes update or Windows Update? Are you logged into a temporary profile?
    Or see Recover your iTunes library from your iPod or iOS device.

    My movies won't play, it just says "content not authorize"

    Hello rockland2u,
    Thanks for the question. Due to the special circumstances surrounding Movie Rentals, it may be best to contact our iTunes Store Support team about your purchase. The following article outlines how to report an issue:

  • HT1657 Rented movie does not download on Apple tv

    Dear apple. You've done it again. You ruined our movie night. Rented movie, got all ready to start watching. Now the movie does not download. Wrong on your Sid as Internet works (100Mbps) and other content/trailers download swiftly.
    I am extremely ****** of that this happened again. I have lost the past hour trying various things and now finding a way to get my money back.
    Please up your game.

    Thanks King_Penguin,
    The fact that I logged into an apple.com site fooled me to believe that this was a 'report a problem' site.
    I since found the 'report a problem' link.
    Wasn't easy to find (could not find it on my apple TV or iPad) had to:
    log into iTunes via laptop, and then
    click on iTunes Store (right top);
    click on account (quick link or at bottom);
    select "see all' next to purchase history;
    click on small arrow next to 'problem' purchase (movie rental for me);
    click on 'report a problem' (at bottom);
    click on 'report a problem again (now inside the purchase details)  - redirect to browse
    fill in details, and
    submit.
    As you can see quite a long process.
    The long process and my missed movie night were the frustrating parts.
    The reponse from Apple Customer Support was swift and extremely good - makes up for the frustration.

  • Ipad 2 movie is not start download.

    I bought a movie and it will not download. I have 20 gb left on the iPad (ipad2)
    I have tried to twist it off and on but it does not help.
    plis help me

    I'd like to apologize in advance for the upcoming rant, but is I feel I big problem with iTunes purchasing in general!
    This is a reacurring problem for me as well, in fact I have never been able to successfully purchase and download a movie on mybipad. Last time it happened I got a refund from apple and they told me to download from my computer and sync to the iPad. (useless solution if you are away from home)
    There seems to be an issue with downloading HD or SD version, so I tried both today (sucker punch in SD and priest in HD) but none of them will download.
    Basically there doesn't seem to any real solution for this other than not purchasing movies on an iPad and syncing them from a computer instead, in which case you might as well just torrent a movie and sync the .avi file to Oplayer app.
    So app,e, if you're listening, fix it! There are too many other ways of downloading movie content on a computer for it to make sense to purchase a movie in iTunes, wait for the download to finish, plug in my iPad, wait for sync, and then watch it. That's not very mobile. (what ever happened to the whole pc-free iOS 5!)
    Again sorry for my maniacal rant.
    Good luck Frederikfromsteinkjer
    Ps. I'm from Denmark :)

  • Rented movie apparently not complete, no way to finish, no sync

    Rented three movies, including The Bounty Hunter. At one point download stopped due to disk space. I freed up space and continued. I notice even though Bounty Hunter was "finished" its artwork did not appear in the Rented Movies section, instead there's a gray box with film strip. I also noticed it was half the size of the other movies. Upon sync with iPad Bounty Hunter would not sync, giving me an two error messages. First: "Attempting to copy to the disk (my) iPad failed because the disk could not be read from or written to." Second message followed closing that message: "iTunes could not copy "The Bounty Hunter" because the file could not be read or written."
    The other two movies sync'd without incident.
    I went to Check for Available Downloads, and it said everything is complete. I went back to store and click Rent, and it said I already did and wanted to know if I wanted to rent it again. I see no other means to complete the transfer. Please advise.

    Thanks Sarah at Apple for an email answer. File replaced, now working!
