Ipad air. i m not able to restore it with my computer.
I use windows 7 and itunes in the newest software update. but today i tried to update my ipad air tp software update 8.1. After a few minutes my computer says, that its not possible to update the ipad. but the new update was at this time already on my ipad. In any case the half of the update... so iTunes said, that i have to restore my ipad. i tried to restore the ipad. everything works fine, till the ipad was in the half of the recreate, becuase then iTunes said, the it was not able to restore the ipas. it shows my a few solutions but the are not working... I tried it again but the same happends again. Now i have a ipad, that is not usable.
Can someone give me an solution for this problem? Did somone had these problems too?

[email protected]Try and force iPad into Recovery Mode:
1. Turn off iPad. Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button for a few seconds until the red slider appears, slide to turn off.
2. Connect USB cable to computer; leave the other end alone
3. Press and hold the Home button down and connect the docking end of cable to iPad
4. Continue holding the Home button until you see the "Connect To iTune" screen
5. Release the Home button
6. Open iTune (make sure you have the newest version of iTune)
7. You should see "iTunes has detected an iPad in recovery mode"
8. Use iTune to restore iPad
Note: You need to be patient and repeat the above many times to recover your iPad -

Do you already have the Kindle app downloaded to an iPhone or another iPad? Do you have "Automatic Downloads" turned on under Settings>iTunes & App Store for Apps on your iPad?
You might want to try touching and holding the Kindle App option in your Purchased list, and when it highlights, let go, and it will go to a a detail page for the app with another "Open" option on it. See if it will open from there.
If you do have Automatic Downloads turned on on the iPad, turn it off, and then go back to purchased to see if the Kindle is still showing as "Open".

I am not able to restore neither from iTunes nor from iCloud. The proble with iTunes is it says that the backup is corrupted or incompatible. And I am not able to connect to iCloud for restoring. I have IOS 7.0.4 when I have taken the backup.
iCloud does not connect and it says Request Timed out.

Applecare Senior Advisor Txx Bxxx (I have his contact info in an email he just sent) just confirmed with me that the problem people are having with the App Store not loading is an apple issue with there servers, ITS NOT YOUR IPAD so don't go restoring it! It's not happening to everyone however but they are looking into it, its really hit or miss.

Try this first - Reset the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons.
This works for some users. Not sure why.
Go to Settings>General>Date and Time> Set Automatically>Off. Set the date ahead by about a year.Then see if you can connect to the store.

I've got a long-standing problem since last year. Let's see if you can solve this!
I'll get straight to the point :
I am unable to perform recovery on my system. This is the error message :
It's a USB recovery media created with the HP recovery media utility on the same laptop. Tested to work correctly before I sent it for RMA on my SSD. It initially was running on a micron SSD. When I got it back, it was a samsung SSD instead, according to some benchmark results.

But they were stumped.I had this exact same issue on a Spectre XT Pro Ultrabook.
The original SSD failed and I was sent a replacement, was fortunate enough to be able to create a Recovery USB stick using the wizard in Windows. When booting from USB I received the message "You are not able to restore this system with the media".
SOLUTION: You must NOT use the Recovery USB stick in any USB3.0 port (labelled SS). Using another USB port prevented this exact error message from appearing and I was able to complete the system restore process.

My ipad is hung with the dialogue box saying "this iPad hasn't been backed up in 4 weeks. Backup happen when this iPad is plugged in, locked and connected to WiFi". Even after doing that, I am not able to do anything with the iPad - neither able to reboot nor able to get to the homescreen. The dialogue box doesn't go at all even after pressing OK a hundred times. I treid tacking the back up through itunes and through 3G conncetion but of no avail. Please help
I too have been having this issue since about 12/14. That is around the same time I got the Ipad for my kids. I am unsure if it is related. I have tried logging out of icloud/deleting it and trying again. Removing most of the apps to sync. I reset my router. All of the attempts have produced zero results. I will be anxiously watching this thread for some help. Good luck to you also

What is the best charging cable for the iPad Air (that is not made by Apple)? I need a long cable (over 6ft or more). I also need the cable to be of high quality and the cord part of the cable to be made of strong material. Apple does not make one this long. Is there a cable out there that is sturdy like this and is safe to use?
yes, but I'm trying to use my iPad to type notes (using pages) and I have the smart case which I use as a stand. I need a cable long enough to fit through the back of my desk and the charging brick for the iPad won't fit behind the desk. I have to put it on the floor and then the apple cables aren't long enough to reach.

I recently bought iPad 3 but iTunes on my Win XP laptop is not detecting the iPad and i am not able to transfer music to it. I tried again after downloading iTunes 10.6.1.7 and it said it's not compatible with the XP version.

If the backup you're trying to restore from is encrypted, you will not be able to use that backup if you can't remember the encrypted backup passcode.
If on a Mac, & you elected to save the passcode to your Keychain, you can recover the passcode from your Keychain. Otherwise, your backup data is unrecoverable.
While you can continue to sync/backup, if you can't remember it & want to remove it, you'll have to delete your existing backups, & restore your phone as a new device.
You delete your existing backups here: iTunes>Preferences>Devices.
