IPad Air - iTunes 11.2.2.3 - Apps

I'm using iTunes 11.2.2.3.
Yesterday I purchased 2 iPad Air - one for my wife and one for me.
We have each previously used iPad2's. Thus the 2 iPad Air's are replacing the 2 iPad2's.
We each have our own Apple-ID. We have had the accounts for years.
When backing-up I use my Pc and iTunes. Ofcourse we each have our own separate back-up.
I have just restored my wifes latest iPad2 backup (made two days ago) to her iPad Air, and my latest iPad2 backup (made 6 month ago) to my iPad Air.
For some unknown reason the number of apps restored to my iPad Air was only about half the number of apps I had/have on my iPad2.
Why?
To investigate I opened my Apple-ID account in iTunes and had a good look at all the purcheses etc. I have made since 2009. The list shown is long and contains all apps.
So this didn't bring me any closer to a solution.
Still signed-in in iTunes, I went to "Library" mode. I opened "Apps" from the drop-down menu on the far upper left side, and I clicked on "All". Here I can only see a fraction of the apps, that I can see in my Apple-ID account.
Why?
Furthermore, when I left click on one of the apps and choose "Show Info", it showed that the app was purchased by my wife, which is absolutly ridiculos. I left click on more or less all the rest of the apps shown. The Info shown was the samme in all apps. They were apparentely all purchased using my wifes Apple-ID. None were purchased using my Apple-ID. Once again this is absolutly ridiculos and very far from the truth.
Why?
I must admit that this rather confused me.
To further investigate I disconnected my iPad Air from my Pc and logged out of my Apple-ID account.
I then connected my wifes iPad Air to my Pc. When iTunes opened I logged into my wifes Apple-ID account. In "Library" mode I once again chose "apps" from the drop-down menu and clicked on "All".
To my amazement the apps shown were exactly the same as the ones shown, when I was logged-in using my Apple-ID.
Why?
Now I really confused. What am I doing wrong?

Yes, you're right. Apple does not seem to support OS X 10.6.8 anymore. This OS is not compatible with iCloud services. iOS8 and OS X depend in many functions on iCloud and many apps do as well. And iTunes 12 is indeed not compatible with OS X 10.6.8.
Although it's probably not the answer you like:  If you want your iDevices on iOS8.1 to work with your Mac, you have to upgrade.
I don't know anything about your Mac Pro but minimum requirements for OS X 10 are Mac Pro 9 (early 2008 or later). I would advice you not to upgrade yet, but wait until version 10.2 is released. You can update your iPad air and your iPhone directly with wifi for the time being.

    The apps available to you are dependent on your location. If you are not in the USA, then you cannot get the USA app store. Whilst you may think that is unfair, it has been a part of the stardard terms and conditions you agreed to when you setup the iOS device in question originally, as well as every time you click agree to the terms and conditions.
    This is done because of two things, firstly there are many legal and semi-legal reasons that an iOS app store download is available in one territory and not another, in addition to this, it also allows apple to provide language specific content, as well as team up with companies and organisations within individual organisations in order to provide you with exclusive offers, content, and information, which it would not otherwise be able to do.
    Rules for the iOS app store are also applied in varing forms for the music store, the books store, and the iTunes U content library.
    I can very much understand your fustraition, as someone who spent a considerable portion of his life, especially during the years he grew up, living in California, USA, but now living in London, UK, I too find it very fustraiting that you cannot always get the same content from one country to another, especially when most marketing for iOS apps originates in the USA these days.

    Devi scaricare l'ultima versione dal developer center e installarla manualmente (tieni premuto shift quando da itunes cerchi l'aggiornamento e seleziona il file scaricato.

    If Excel works as do other apps, you should be able to tap and hold on the attachment and then select "Open in Excel" in the window that will open. Note that you need to be subscribed to and signed into Office 365 to be able to edit documents in Microsoft's apps.

    Apple iOS designers did away with the Picture Frame slide show app and the lock screen icon that used to activate it.
    If you are looking for a replacement, look in the iOS App Store app and search for Picmatic.
    This is a pretty good replacement for that function.

  • I just bought the iPad Air and wanted to download an app and when I dismissed the page that came up that was offering free apps for the Air I pressed not now, how do you get that back?

    I just bought the Apple iPad Air yesterday and I wanted to download a certain app from the app store.  When it first opened it had a page come up over the apps with free apps that you could download to the iPad. I clicked on the not now button, thinking it would reappear after closing and re-opening the app store, but it did not. How do you get this back so that I can have the opportunity of checking the apps out?

    After activating your iPad, go to the App Store and search for your free apps:
    1. Pages
    2. Numbers
    3. Keynote
    4. iPhoto
    5. iMovie
    6. GarageBand
    If apps are still showing the price: sign out>reboot>and sign in again
    Settings>iTunes and App Store>Apple ID

  • IPad Air 2 Deletes Movies from Video App Yet Keeps Space Alotted

    My new iPad Air 2 is deleting movies from the video app and leaving the space reserved in "other." When I examine this in iTunes on my Mac, the deleted movies now show their size as "stream" instead of their file size.  This is highly annoying as I keep having to format and restore, and it keeps happening and I am losing a ton of space to "other."

    I'm experiencing this exact issue on two devices:
    iPhone 4S 32GB
    iPad Air 64 GB
    Both while running iOS 7.03 and 7.04 (recently updated both devices to 7.04 hoping it would help. It didn't)
    My iPhone had become nearly unusable until I found your post. It had apparently accumulated >12 GB of "temporary streamed content", as after I did a backup/wipe/restore, I had recovered to around 12 GB free space.
    It's unfortunate that the fix requires a complete reset/restore cycle, as it's very time-consuming, but thanks for providing that fix! It saved my iPhone 4S. Now I can comfortable wait until the 6 comes out to get a new iPhone.
    Really, though, this seems like a critical bug for iOS devices. I'll certainly not stream any iTunes content until/unless this is fixed. I found that if I turn off "Show all Videos" in the Video App settings, it doesn't show the iTunes cloud content for streaming from within the App. This forces me into iTunes to do a full download if I want to watch something. Kind of a pain, but it beats a device that's maxed out on storage and basically bricked.

    I Just got the iPad Air 2 Wifi 2 weeks ago. I was able to only update a few apps which was very slow, then nothing all together. Can't download or update my apps. Keeps turning in a circle and not loading. Is this an issue with apple? This problem started with my iPad 2 before I upgraded thinking there might be little or no support for it by now. I cannot be going to iTunes every time I need to download an app. Doesn't make any sense.

    If you lost sounds for keyboard clicks, games or other apps, email notifications and other notifications, system sounds may have been muted. I think that's what you are experiencing.
    System sounds can be muted and controlled two different ways. The screen lock rotation can be controlled in the same manner as well.
    Settings>General>Use Side Switch to: Mute System sounds. If this option is selected, the switch on the side of the iPad above the volume rocker will mute system sounds.
    If you choose Lock Screen Rotation, then the switch locks the screen. If the screen is locked, you will see a lock icon in the upper right corner next to the battery indicator gauge.
    If you have the side switch set to lock screen rotation then the system sound control is in the control center if you are running iOS 7. Swipe up from the bottom of the screen to get to control center . Tap on the bell icon and system sounds will return.
    If you are running iOS 5 or iOS 6, the system sound control is in the task bar at the bottom. Double tap the home button and swipe all the way to the right in the task bar to get to the speaker icon on the left side. Tap on that and the sounds will return.
    If you have the side switch set to mute system sounds, then the screen lock can be accessed in the same manner as described above.

  • IPad Air won't sync music or apps - infinite loop

    I've tried for several days to sync my new iPad air to my music and apps with no success.  All over the USB cable.  I've pared it down to just one album and no apps with no better luck.  Right now it appears to be in an infinite loop where it starts to sync the music, goes to step 5, downloads some music, stops and then restarts the whole process again.  It wipes out the previous few songs loaded when it starts again so it never finishes.  I've tried unchecking all music to sync which wiped out the few songs on the ipad and then tried loading one album.  That worked once out of over 10 times to succusfully load one album.   Subsequent tries have not resulted in any better results, I haven't been able to add any more albums or playlist on top of that only one.  The first time it tries to load after I've wiped the ipad clean there are 4 steps.  On the subsequent tries when it goes into the infinite loop there are 5 steps to syncing the music.  It seems to stop loading at randon song counts and I've tried different albums and playlists.   Right now, I get the following errors.  Yesterday I think it was more of the first error but I can't say for sure.
    The iPad cannot be synced because it cannot be found.
    The iPad cannot be synced. An internal device error occured.
    This is a brand new 32GB model with plenty of free space (since I can't load any of my music).  I have been able to add apps through the app store with no issues.

    I had the same problem. But I was able to fix it with a little luck.
    If you have a backup of your iPad that is functional and has value, hold on to it.
    First, restore/wipe your iPad so it is empty execpt for the stock software.
    Begin to restore your iPad from the backup.
    As it is working, click on the "Manage My Own Music" selection on the iPad sync window. Will ask if you are sure, say yes.
    Un-check and Re-Check the top box in the music section of the sync pages.
    Click Sync at the bottom and let it work.

    I recently added an iPad Air to my Verizon wireless account, the biggest reason being so I can watch NFL network via the NFL Mobile app through Verizon. Come to find out after some trial and error that the iPad air is not compatible with the free access to NFL network via the app?     Seems other applie iPad devices are compatible, including the apple iPad mini, but no iPad air for some reason.
    I have a Galaxy s3 on my account as well.  When I download the app on that device and start it, I get a popup saying that I have access to the content for free and I am able to stream the NFL network with no problems.  When I download the app to my iPad and open it, I do not get the same notification of access to the content. It opens and runs fine but if I try to tap the button to watch NFL network, it asks me to sign in with my cable provider instead of streaming.
    I'm wondering if compatibility for the iPad Air will be added anytime soon?

    Seems like if they really wanted to cash in they'd jump on making it
    available for the Air, as it's one of the more spendy of the tabs they have
    available. But I suppose that'd be too easy
    Unfortunately it's Comcast around my area and they don't play nice with
    others.  Not on the list of compatible cable providers.  Do Verizon rep's
