  • IPad air and LTE in Germany with O2

When can you expect that with the Ipad air and the Mini retina can be used also LTE by O2 in Germany
The frequency bands of the Ipdas are identical to those of the IPhone 5S - why is the function at O2 still not teleased?
Sice already the TouchID when the IPad was saved and do not exist, the lack of LTE keep coverage now but certainly me from a purchase.
Do you hav Information about LTE with O2 on Ipad Air and IPad mini Retina? O2 certainly has none.

This will probably come in handy for you.

Your questions are sort of all over the place and it makes it difficult to offer help when you splatter a whole bunch of stuff against the wall at once.
Mail accounts will sync to the iPad from iTunes if they are selected to sync. You can add the email account to the iPad in Settings>Mail, contacts, calendar>Add account. If you restore the iPad from a backup of another iPad, that should restore the email accounts to the new iPad.
Your backups will always be separate because iTunes reads the serial number on the iPad so if you had 10 iPads and gave them all the same name, iTunes would still see each one as it's own device.
You also threw the iPhone into the mix now. Why don't you start over and explain what you did to set up the new iPad Air. Or just start over and clarify all of the information a bit.

  • Keyboard not clicking on iPad Air 2 with sounds general settings on

iPad Air 2 with iOS 8.1 - initially all sounds were ok after first set up but disappeared suddenly - general sound for music, video etc...still ok.

Try this. Reset the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider if it appears on the screen - let go of the buttons. Let the iPad start up.
If that doesn't work, try this. Settings>General>Reset>Reset all settings. No data is lost, but all device settings have to be entered again.

  • IPad Mini Retina and iPad Air Worldwide LTE 4G ?

I live in Egypt and I travel to the US sometimes so I was thinking about getting an iPad Mini Retina or iPad Air.
I've read that there is only one model from each iPad that supports 14 LTE bands in many countries in Europe and Middle East as well as the USA and it is unlocked but since it comes with pre-installed Sim card from US network vendors and there is no way to order an iPad without one, I am still confused.
Technically there is still no LTE/4G here in Egypt but my network carrier is already testing band 2600 so I need to make sure whether any iPad Mini Retina ot iPad Air I get from the US would work for me here or not.
    Thanks in advance

It comes with a sim card. But you can simply take it out, and put one in for your own carrier.
While using your Egyptian sim in Egypt you'll get whatever your carrier offers. Likely 3G.
Now when travelling abroad, either you use your Egyptian Carrier's roaming plans whcih can be expensive or you can get an american pay as you go card. So you only pay for it when yoiu are going to use it.  When arriving in the US, simply swap sim cards and the iPad will connect to the carrier the sim car belongs to.

  • Nano Sim but no LTE option in Settings

    Hey there
I've iphone 5 white Model A1429 GSM, it works perfectly in Dubai (Middle East) but in Settings>General>Cellular I don't get the option of LTE on/off.
This model should work on Network with LTE/4G as its 1800 Band 3, as Apple support Reports, and I didnot Cut the Sim, my Carrier offers Nano Sim.
So now whats the problem? I only get 3G on/off

unica alae, so I just returned from the Apple Store and asked the Genius why my phone only has the 3G option and no LTE/4G on/off option. He said it's simply due to the fact that my network provider doesn't provide LTE/4G services yet. My earlier comments made on this issue above were correct. So basically, it's the carrier settings that controls this. If your provider only supports up to 3G, then 3G on/off will appear. If they support 4G/LTE, then 4G/LTE on/off will appear Settings>General>Cellular.
I asked him what happens when I go overseas and use my iPhone 5, do my carrier settings automatically change? The genius said yes - when the iPhone detects a new nano-sim, it will change the phones carrier settings with your permission. IF the new network provider has 4G/LTE services, then that option will appear in Settings>General>Cellular instead of the 3G on/off option that I have. I hope this resolves your issue!

  • View Account under Cellular Data in iPad Air Settings not working

I purchased a new iPad Air with cellular last week and successfully established an account with Verizon on the iPad. Up until Saturday I was able to sign into View Account on the iPad in Settings and saw that my usage amount stayed current. I also was able to create a sign-on on the Verizon website and login with no problem up until Saturday. Beginning Saturday View Account on the iPad says my sign in credentials are incorrect. I know they are correct. Not only that the Verizon website says "the activity you are attempting is not available" when I try to sign there. Because Verizon is not offering unlimited usage I need to closely monitor because my teenagers have been using the iPad. I called Verizon and they blamed Apple and said contact them.  This does not seem like an Apple issue to me. Anyone else experiencing this? If I go over my usage limit, it's expensive.

Yes I installed the MyVerizon app and returns an error.
I been searching around the Internet and everyone is saying that after you initially activate with one carrier on the iPad Air you can remove the SIM and replace with another from a different carrier. According to one article, Apple engineers included a wide range of bands for the iPad Air.  Here's the article: http://gigaom.com/2013/11/01/ipad-air-with-lte-tip-you-can-switch-carrier-sims-a t-will/

  • Hotspot missining on iPad air after IOS8 update

Hotspot missining on iPad air after IOS8 update

    Go to Settings
    then Cellular
you will see Cellular data network
there, you will see the option for Cellular data APN User name and password
    then
LTE setup(optional) : APN User name and password
    MMS:APN User name and password
But all the way down you will see the option for Personal hotspot...
there you have to put APN if you know the APN for your carrier
then go back to cellular again and wait for sometime.
you will surely get Hotspot option.

  • Can I use iPad Air purchased in the US in Japan?

    Hello,
I'm currently assisting a team of Japanese Engineers from Japan, who are here for less than 1 year project in the US.
Yesterday, my manager asked me to research & find SIM Free iPad Air to buy, but not with any carrier contract, and get a SIM Card to have Wi-Fi available in the US. Then when they finish the project, they will bring their iPad Air back to Japan and insert their Japanese SIM card to use WI-Fi there.
Is it possible? I have read so many related articles, my brain is about to explode with so many information, but not sure what's the FACT and what's LIE!
Can someone explain to me in plain English (or in Japanese), please?
By the way, here are some articles I have read...

    Thank you for your help!

    Hi Courcoul,
Thank you very much for your help!
Here's our situation. We are in the satellite offices, meaning in the trailers, where we have wifi set up. But they will be walking into the construction site often, but I'm not sure if they would need internet connection there...
Now I just spoke with one of the team members who arrived from Japan yesterday WITH their iPad Air, and my manager was impressed with it (hence my manager wanted to have some for his onsite staff).
According to them, they won't be needing internet connection in teh construction zone, but just computer (data input or reference), then when they return to the offices, they will connect with the WiFi.
My dilenmma is that there are TWO version sold in the US:
    1. with Built-in Wi-Fi(802.11a/b/g/n) with MIMO support
    2. with Wi-Fi+Cellure
And he does want the option to insert SIM cards when they return Japan, but doesn't want to sign up with any US carrier...
Does it make sense? Which one should they choose???
    Thank you!

  • IPhone 5s to iPad Air

How do I get my game data from my iPhone 5s to my iPad Air?

Few options that I know and it also depends on the game and to be sure for every game you may need to find out from developers.
    Ways that I know.
You can restore iphone from ipad backup. Pictures will not come, but game data should.
You can sign in to game center with same account.
You can sign in facebook with same account - some games attached to facebook
You can sign in to game with the same account - some games support that.
Sometimes you may sync game data by syncing with itunes.

  • ıphone 5s no lte option

I have ıphone 5s but ı didnt connect to 4g lte. I m living Türkmenistan. sim card(tmcell) is supporting 4g lte. but no lte option in settings.ıt have 3g option

It has nothing to do with any differences between factory unlocked and carrier unlocked.  There is no difference here and an unlocked phone is an unlocked and that is it whether you purchased it from Apple unlocked or the phone was unlocked by your carrier.
To get 4G, firstly your phone has to be compatible with the frequency used.  Assuming that this is the case, you need to go to your carrier in Tanzania and get a 4G sim card for it to work.  Once a 4G network is released and assuming that this carrier is an Apple approved carrier, the 4G network also needs to be approved by Apple themselves and once this is done, the carrier has to release what is known as a carrier update and after you have downloaded and installed this carrier update to your phone you should be able to receive 4G.  Until then you won't be able to get 4G.
It can take a little time for Apple to approve new 4G services and then for the carrier to release that update.  You also need to check that you are actually using an Apple approved carrier for the iPhone in Tanzania or you will never get 4G.  You will just need to be patient and wait for it all to happen.

  • Ipad Air 128GB No Longer Connects to LTE

My IPAD Air 128 GB no longer ever connects to LTE, only 3G.  My iphone in same location connects no problem to LTE.  I have LTE turned on in the settings.  The speed has so dramatically changed that the iPAD is virtually useless unless connected via hotspot.

Change both the name of the wireless network and the password
Make sure that the name of the network adheres to the following guidelines
No more than 20 characters in the name....shorter is better
Use only letters and numbers in the name....no special characters like an apostrophe, dollar sign, etc
No blank spaces in the name
    Same rules for the password
Avoid the hidden network setting if possible, as it will not keep anyone that really wants to see your network from doing so, and it does make it more difficult for some devices to connect
If the iPad still will not connect, you have an iPad problem. You may need to completely restore the operating system on the iPad, or better yet, get a new iPad if it can be exchanged.
The experts over at the Ipad Support Community might have a few more tips for you. We are not iOS experts here.

  • Battery usage won't display in settings on iPad Air

How can I get my usage since last charge to display in settings on my iPad Air?? I have done a hard reset and really do not want to to do a restore reset as Apple does not know how to fix the problem And that's the only option that they have given me.  I have only had to charge my ipad 3 times since receiving it, and it has never displayed the time. Any suggestions would be great!!

My brand new ipad air 1 is not displaying the battery usage figures. I did an 18 hour charge before using it and expected the values to be shown.

I changed to ipad air 2 and am unable to download books from overdrive. I am connected to wifi and have tried every option on the overdrive site. It closes everytime I try to download a file.

    Reset the device:
Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button together for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
If that doesn't help, tap Settings > General > Reset > Reset All Settings
If that doesn't help, restart your internet modem and router then try downloading books.
