Ipad Air WIFI problem with router

I keep losing my WIFI when downloading apps or on too long. From what I've been reading, it's a router problem. People have suggested changing my router settings, but I don't know to what. I have a D-Link DIR-615 draft 802.11N router that I've had for 4 years. On the box it says it performs at 802.11g. My other option is to buy a new router. Will my Ipad work with all new routers, or will there still be a different setting issue? Any suggestions on what to buy besides an Apple Airport? From what I've read, it will be hard to set up with my current modem and PC. Thanks in advance for all your help.

I ended up buying a Netgear N600 model #DGND3700 and it solved my problem. I have AT&T DSL and this is a modem/router combo (my modem was also old). It was very easy to install. When I first tried my Ipad again, it didn't work, so I tapped on general, reset, reset network settings and it worked just fine. I hope this will help anyone else having trouble with WIFI.

There are many people using the basic (i5) 2012 MacMini and even older ones to edit complex films in FCP X so you should have no problems.
I have been using FCP 7 and FCP X since they came out on my 2008 iMac Core 2 Duo and am thinking of getting the same model as you rather than pay the astronomic price for a new 27" iMac.
The performance won't be quite as fast but it will be at least 4 times faster at rendering than my old iMac.

Q. I have an IPAD air having problems with my email deleting after a short while without command.

I've had issues like this before.
I ended up having to call my provide to reset the connection, which worked for a while, then quit. i then took it into my provider for a new sim card and had the connection re-established again. I haven't had issues since.
hopefully for you resetting the connection with your provider will do the trick and a new SIM card wont be nessesary.

IPad 2 Wifi problem with DLink Router

Hello. I have an iPad 2 which was working fine with my DLink DW113 WiFi router.
of late however, the iPad is horrendously slow, reminding me of old dial up connections.
the router works fine on my wife's iPad Air. It works fine on my iPhone 6.
i Have reset network settings on the iPad, deleted Safari 'cache' etc.
Een the router admin page is slow to load, something that loads instantaneously on my other devices.
My iPad OS needs an update. But that shouldnt be a problem becaus it was working fine until two days ago. Now it has become unusable.
any suggestions?

IPad 2 wifi problem with 7.1

Since updating to 7.1 I have a problem with wifi staying active. The other morning I found that wifi was turned off. I activated it but it does not stay active through my sessions. In facebook it goes in and out. When I go into my mail account I always have to go to settings and activate my e mail. I have followed the suggestions in support but to no avail. Is there a fix on the way?

Hello, 2 new iPad Air have problems with FaceTime...

Sometimes they are unable to receive FaceTime Calls...they are doing nothing, when i try to reach them with my iphone or mac...no ring, nothing...the display just keeps black.
On both, there is iOS 7.0.4 working.
Sometimes there is no Problem...!
Does anyone has the same problem with the iPad Air and 7.0.4???

Wifi problems with new ipad

I'm trying to learn how to correct wifi problems with new iPad. It is the wifi only, 64GB model. I want to be able to use it at work, where we have a great wifi network. I can usually connect to our network with no problem, but after an hour or so my iPad loses the network. When I try to reconnect, I see that the network is showing full strength reception, but I get the error message from the iPad that I am "Unable to join" the network. My iPhone connects to the same network seamlessly, as do all of the other iPhones of my co-workers and the older generation iPads that some of our staff has.
At other locations, I typically have no problems (home, apple store, etc.) but I have had the same situation pop up at a coffee shop where I could see that there was a wifi network available, but I could not join it even though it was the shop's free wifi.
I have tried turning the iPad off, turning off wifi and turning it back on again, and forgetting the wifi network in question. I can't think of any other methods that are available to an end user to correct the problem.
I have already gone to the Apple store to swap out the unit, and the newer one is having the same symptoms.
Can anyone offer any advice here? This is quite frustrating.

Additional things to try.
Try this first. Turn Off your iPad. Then turn Off (disconnect power cord) the wireless router & then back On. Now boot your iPad. Hopefully it will see the WiFi.

I Have followed these steps, and tried others, such as resetting all my network settings. At best these only temporarily fix the problem - wifi still becomes slow or stops. I have other Apple devices connecting fine to my airport express. why is my iPad mini not working? Is it related to the fact it is 3G and I don't have a sim card installed? It is the current top of the range model with iOS 8.0.2. I paid over the odds for the best, and it is almost completely redundant. Apple - I'm losing faith. You need to keep the public better informed and fix this problem fast, otherwise I will leave you for good.

IPad Air wifi sync a lot slower than iPhone 5s?

I just got my new iPhone 5s yesterday and found out that its wifi syncing to itunes is a lot faster than the iPad Air I bought a few days ago. Actually iPad Air wifi syncing is so much slower than iPhone 5s, almost half speed, just as slow as wifi syncing with my iPhone 4, is this normal?
I've tested another iPad Air of my friend, and found out that his new iPad is as slow as mine. Anyone know WHY? Is there anything / settings we're missing?
I have the latest AirPort Extreme as wifi router.

Unless you purchased a Sprint-model iPad, then as AmishCake said, you cannot. If you do have a Sprint-model iPad, post back with details about the problem and someone can probably offer suggestions. If you not have a Sprint-model iPad, then a "MiFi" device for Sprint or tethering through a Sprint cellphone will be your only options.

my router is DLink Dir-615, and the iPhone 4(ios5.x),iPad2(ios5.x) and notbooks(windows 7) can connect to the router successfully.
And I tried to reset iPad mini's network, even reset all the settings, but still no luck.
I doubt it is the hardware issue of iPad mini. Pleasesssssssssssssse, HELP ME OUT OF IT.

So I got an problem after an update of apple, they recongized its their fault, their software fault.. Apple doesnt integrate GPS on the Wi-Fi only models, but you can still locate yourself and use Location Services only if you are connected through Wi-Fi. The cellular + Wi-Fi models are more precise on GPS as they use cellular signals to pinpoint accuracy of your location.
If you meant GPS as in Car GPS, it will be tough to drive with a Wi-Fi only model as it will keep asking you to join networks every time your out of range. Otherwise, the Cellular+ WiFi can support connection almost wherever you go.

Both the iPad Air and iPhone 5C use a nano-SIM. Physically, they will work, but your operator may have some restriction. You should check with them.

IPad air reboot problem

Are lots of people meet the new iPad air restart problem? I have met it several times since I bought it a week. Any solution can avoid it or should I go to  store to change a new one As this is a really annoying problem.

While I am using a application like safari, the iPad just restarted. Probably it wasn't a really restart because it just took a seconds and the a white screen with an  in the middle came up just like usually turn on the iPad and back to lock screen and any application I was using were closed after that.
