Ipad and iphone with IOS 7 but older Mac - How?

I have an IMac with 10.5.8 system and iTunes 10.6.3. I recently got an iphone 5 and ipad 3 with IOS 7. Now I cannot sync them with my itunes library. It refuses to recognise them and tells me to upgrade to iTunes 11.1. but I cannot and when i try to update my Imac OS it will not let me either saying I all software is upto date. What do I do to get my stuff onto my ipad - I have a library of personal / family vids I converted to play and sync from my itunes account but now cannot get them onto my ipad / iphone? Wireless transfer works fine for stuff and apps purchased from iTunes but I have a couple of itunes accounts, one from years back but has a lot of stuff on it (UK one) and a newer one I had to create on moving to Japan permamently as I now have no registered address in the UK. How do I add an additional Apple ID to my iphone / ipad? Can this even be done anymore?
Beginning to wish I had never upgraded to ios 7 as all worked fine before. Can I undo this upgrade?

I am deployed and have a wireless hot spot for my internet. Both my ipad and iphone fight me everytime i try to log into it. They will log on to it.. Stay on for varying times.. Then log off and i get a page not found message. My hotspot requires me to log it in to the internet everytime i turn it on, so i have to log on to it by IP address.. Put in my password, and then connect it to the internet. Sometimes if i am fast enough, i can toggle between the settings and safari and get itto work.. But it goes like this..
- connect to wifii
- go to safari and go to login page
- pop up screen with page not found -- wifi symbol disappears
- back to wifi-- click on hot spot
- back to safari wait for wifi symbol -- if it shows up, try to load login page
- pop up screen with page not found -- wifi symbol disappears
- Back to wifi settings.. Click on hotspot
- back to safari - if login page loaded.. Enter password and click login..
- pop up screen with page not found -- wifi symbol disappears
- back to wifi settings.. Click on hotspot
- back to safari - hope connection page is loaded -- if it is-- hit connect
- pop up screen with page not found -- wifi symbol disappears
- back to wifi settings.. Click on hotspot
- back to safari.. Refresh connection page-- if the internet connection has been made.. It will stay on the wifi.. If not.. I have to repeat steps.. Some multiple times
I have tried toggling all wifi related items.. Turned off siri.. Reset network settings twice.. Stood on my head and juggled a chicken, a pony, and a fiat,and every other crack pot notion out there to fix this, nothing has worked. Still stuck with this same situation. Non apple devices have no trouble loggomg on to my hotspot and getting through the login process... Sooooo.. *** do i do??

Are you using iCloud Photo Library? Then syncing is automatic and your mobile devices should be showing the same albums automatically.

If you are using the same Apple ID on both devices, the Game Center profile should be the same.
Check out this information from the iPad User Guide. Try signing out of the Game Center on both devices and then sign back in with the correct Apple ID:

You need OSX 10.7.2 or higher in order to access icloud. The mobile me account is now defunct (it closed down more than a year ago).

Open Keychain Access in Utilities, use Keychain First Aid under the Keychain Menu item, then either check the Password under that item, change it, or delete it and start over. See if there are duplicates, should be one for Incoming & one for Outgoing.

If Keychain First Aid finds an issue that it cannot repair, or if you do not know your keychain password, you may need to reset your keychain.

Are you sure you have a 3GS and not a 3G? The 3G cannot be updated to iOS5. What version are you on now?... Settings > General > About > Version

I think iCloud isn't coming until this fall and not until iOS 5 is publicly available. Right now there is confusion because all this stuff is still in beta and things are under NDA and may still change.
I'd just set the 3GS up the same as currently. When iOS 5 is available in the fall (and I don't think Apple has specified beyond "fall"), before you update, there should be any number of guides to setting things up and how it will all work. http://macworld.com is a good place to look for such information.

I managed to lose an earlier reply I'd started before you came back with your "solved" so I didn't bother to retype it.
It went something like this:
You should be able to recover the media with the tips in this post from forum regular Zevoneer but I'm not sure what the implications are for your application settings. You can probably transfer your purchases into an authorised library, backup the device, recover any other media using third party tools, then restore the device from the backup.
The older .itl file is useful however as iTunes should see this as the "home" library for your device which will allow you to preserve the application settings. (.itl file? Mac? I assume the library has migrated from PC to Mac at some point). Any files in the Previous iTunes Libraries folder or did you kill those as well? The most recent of these would be the best place to start.
And no, the .itl file is not editable by mortals...
Once you've restored the media from backups or recovered whatever else you useful can from the device, the scripts MusicFolder Files Not Added and Super Remove Dead Tracks should help get the library up to speed with the contents of the media folder.

VoiceOver issue with iBooks on iPad and iPhone in iOS 4.2.1

I use the VoiceOver feature of my iPad and iPhone. After I upgraded to iOS 4.2.1 I was unable to buy any books from the iBooks store. I had to disable VoiceOver to make my purchases (not an easy feat when you need VoiceOver!)
I particular, I've found two bugs.
1. When I have VoiceOver enabled while using iBooks, I can not select the price button to buy a book.
2. While I'm in my Account page by first selecting "Apple ID: myappleid" at the bottom of an iBooks page and then selecting [View Apple ID] from the pop-up, I'm unable to modify any of the fileds. VoiceOver tells me I can select the fields, but when I try to, the control (numeric keypad, picker item, etc.) is not displayed and I have no way of modifying the field. H have to disable VoiceOver and navigate back to make my changes.
How do I report this to Apple?

Synchronization of iPAD and iPHONE with iMAC and Macbook

Hi,
I am synchrinizing my calendar and contacts through iCloud with my 4 devices (iPhone, iPad, iMac and Macbook). Although it works nicely with the two computers, the iPad and iPhone do not pick up all appointments and that's very frustrating.
Does anyone know how to fix this or is this an iCloud bug that Apple needs to fix?

Thanks for the hint. But unfortunately, it does not work. There are still appointments on my Macbook that do not show on my iPhone after I've done what you describe.
Maybe it's because those were invitations I accepted on my Macbook? But technically speaking those should also be synchronized.
I think Apple has some work to do here.

I updated both iPad and iPhone to iOS 7.06. Battery lif goes extremely fast, maybe a tenth of what it was.

I updated to the latest version of the iOS. My battery life on both iPad and iPhone have dropped to nothing. My phone goes dead by noon. I have turned off every "push" locator, everything I can think off. Is anyone else having this trouble?

On my iPad 3, I noticed with the update to iOS 7.0.6 that it turned on features by default that I had previously turned off, such as Bluetooth. You might want to check to see if active features are now turned on that you previously turned off. Some of them, like Bluetooth, will cause an additional drain on the battery.
