Ipad app updates via wifi not working

I went from talktalk broadband to Bt on Tuesday (27 Nov), which may be a coincidence, but ever since my ipad 3 and iphone 4s will not sync app updates over wifi, they just freeze. I am getting so frustrated, one day these all worked seamlessly and now not.

Try this
Make Sure iOS is updated to the latest version
Reboot the device by pressing and holding down the home and sleep/wake buttons (power) at the same time until the apple logo appears on the screen, then let go.
If that doesn't work then reset the device by going to settings/general/reset/reset allsettings

How do you contact Apple by email to report one of their pre-installed iPad Apps (ie Calender) is not working properly?
On trying to open month of March 2013 the pre-installed calendar just shuts down and closes.  Have tried restarting iPad but this didn't help and because its a pre-installed App am unable to re-install it.   Is this a universal problem or just affecting me?  Tried searching for support in both App Store and on Apple site and can't see how to report this.

  • IPad 2 updated via wifi 36 hours ago has sent it in recovery mode

Stuck in a restore loop since updating via wifi my iPad 2 to the latest 6.1 software, on reboot it's gone into recovery mode & everytime I click restore iPad the download says it's failed due to corrupt download file, tried 12 times now

try to hard reset it out. hold down the power button and the home button at the same time until u see an apple appear on the screen. if that does not take it out of recovery mode there is absolutely nothing u can do to get ur stuff off of that ipad. it is officially kaput and u HAVE to restore it using itunes unless u just want a very expensive paperwieght.

  • HT5622 App update option is not working...

for some reason the app update option is not updating the applications

There are many posts about this same issue. Apparently there's a problem with the Apple app site. You'll just have to wait and try again later.

  • New ipad apps wont open, wifi wont work, iOS 5.1

    Hello all,
I am having serious issues with my 'new ipad'.
Since plugging and syncing to my laptop PC some issues have arrised. I am running iOS 5.1.
The airport icon in the top left displays bars, so I would assume it is connected via wifi to my router. However, safari says it is not connected. On wifi settings, the circular loading icon is constantly next to my wireless connection.
Secondly, all the apps which I have downloaded do not open! I have Dropbox, 4od catchup, eBay, Flipboard, Avid studio and a few photo editing apps. when tapping on them to open, the screen flashes black and the app icon shakes a tiny bit........and then nothing.
I have tried restarting (several times) and resetting the ipad.
Does anyone else have these serious issues with their new ipad?
    Cheers,
    Matt

    Additional things to try.
Try this first. Turn Off your iPad. Then turn Off (disconnect power cord) the wireless router & then back On. Now boot your iPad. Hopefully it will see the WiFi.

  • Location services on iPad 3rd gen with wifi not working.

We use iZettle for business payment solution at our store, and we switch between iPhone 5s and iPad 3rd generation... The phone is working, but the iPad that is stationary at our shop ALWAYS fails when we resync the bank terminal. Most likely because the Location services is showing a place far away from where we are...
We get the ipad to work after hours spent to reset Network settings and a lot of things... But we cannot do business this way... I am sad to say, be we are thinking of going to Samsung Galaxy or something... Because this is ridiculous...
I think Apple should fix this in some way...

Location services cause problem because of the wifi network: iPad relies on databases of location of wifi router, and the router you have was probably used somewhere "far away" before. You have 2 options:
    change router and network name
or sell your iPad 3rd Generation wifi model and get a (second hand) iPad erg gen cellular model. it should cost about 50$ more than what you sold the iPad at. you won't need an access plan, the cellular model has a GPS chip that will solve your problems. (unless the building you're in is full of concrete, preventing GPS communication: check if phones in the building can access GPS before "changing" iPads.

  • Found this article on gizmodo regarding IOS6 update making wifi not work anymore good luck

    ... I'm staying on IOS5 until I see this issue gone http://gizmodo.com/5944761/does-ios-6-have-a-wi fi-bug

So to follow up, I received my fixed laptop back after a month and a few days. It turns out that Compugen had some sort of glitch in their ordering system that ended up ordering an expired part number for the keyboard. After a few calls from me, they escalated the issue, discovered the problem and corrected it. While the experience was painful for me (over a month without my 4 day old T440p laptop), at least it was resolved and Compugen helped me out with a few things for my troubles. I promptly made a backup image of my Win8.1 hard drive with Clonezilla, wiped the drive and installed Linux Mint 17.1 on it with no issues. Things are great minus the headache over the Christmas holidays I had to endure.

Looks like updates via the App. store update option is not working again. Comments?

There are a number of other threads from people reporting a problem with a blank Updates tab in the App Store app - it looks like there is a problem at Apple's end which they need to fix.
Some posts are suggesting that you if you go into the Purchased tab in the App Store app you might be able to update the apps from there, though you will need to scroll through the list to find those with updates and individually update them.

My ipad 1 is stuck on IOS 4 as these IOS 5 update instructions do not work. When I use itunes update the software looks for an IOS 5 software update file and the apple site doesn't seem have one anywhere!

If you have an iPad 1, the max iOS is 5.1.1. For newer iPads, the current iOS is 6.0.1. For the iPad Mini the iOS is 6.0.2. The Settings>General>Software Update only appears if you have iOS 5.0 or higher currently installed.

If you are currently running an iOS lower than 5.0, connect the iPad to the computer, open iTunes. Then select the iPad under the Devices heading on the left, click on the Summary tab and then click on Check for Update.
Tip - If connected to your computer, you may need to disable your firewall and anitvirus software temporarily.  Then download and install the iOS update. Be sure and backup your iPad before the iOS update. After you update an iPad (except iPad 1) to iOS 6.x, the next update can be installed via wifi (i.e., not connected to your computer).

Try rebooting your router and or cable modem. Unplug it/them for about 30 seconds and then plug back in. See if it works then. Reboot your iPad as well.
Reboot the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider if it appears on the screen - let go of the buttons. Let the iPad start up.

Since updating the recent OS on my iPad my location services do not work.  Maps "Cannot determine location"  and "Find Me" is running in circles.  How can I delete the update on my iPad???

You can't delete the update and your problem probably is not in the Update.
Check to see if Location Services is turned ON. (Settings > Privacy > Location Services)
What model iPad Mini do you have? WiFi or WiFi + Cellular
Have you recently changed WiFi routers?
