IPad frame on projector too small

I'm connecting my newest iPad to an Epson projector (powerlite home cinema 710hd) using an adapter. I think it's this one, http://store.apple.com/us/product/MD098ZM/A/apple-digital-av-adapter, but I'm not entirely sure. It certainly looks just like this one.
Everything works and the iPad's screen is seen through the projector. But the iPad screen doesn't take all the frame the projector has -- so that what's seen on the iPad has a sort of a "rim," or a margin around it.
I must have the iPad take all the screen. This is an art piece and it has to be just right. Is there a way to solve this?  I've already tried every relevant setting on the projector.

  • Discoverer Plus Title frame height is too small

The Discoverer Plus default title frame height is too small to display more than a couple of lines of the report titles without scrolling. Discoverer Viewer displays the entire title area. Is there any way to increase the default height of the title frame in Plus?
    Thanks, Jim

There is a default hieght that the title frame occupies in Discoverer Plus. If I remember, the title frame by default will not use more than 15% of the available vertical space in the Plus window - again, not sure if this includes the browser chrome or not. You can drag and increase the size of this title frame such that it occupies more of the available screen real estate.
In Viewer, since the title is rendered as HTML - it will simply expand to show its entire contents.
    thanks

  • Hello MacBook Pro Musicians- I cannot read sheet music from the ipad. It is too small. I want to connect a large monitor, hopefully wirelessly to my 13 inch macbook pro. what would I need to connect ? Any suggestions on how to keep monitor from falling?

Hello Macbook Pro Musicians--I cannot read sheet music from my 13" macbook or from an IPad. The print is too small for these aging eyes! So I need to get a large monitor to attach to the Macbook.  I want the monitor to be connected wirelessly or using a blue tooth.  This will eliminate alot of potential mishaps
when playing out.  Also I am having a time figuring out how I am going to safely keep the monitor on somekind of music stand without falling!!!  Can anyone help me with this?

    Hi Julius,
As you can see in my profile section, my MBP is older by 5 years, 2GB RAM and with regards to question 1 (Q1), has no problems with having all those programs open at the same time with the possible exception of Photoshop since I use Gimp instead. With twice the RAM and much overall much better specs, Photoshop shouldn't be an issue. But you listed some other activities that might need that additional RAM. But the advise most give is to not get it from Apple but from a third party.
Q5 - I always get Apple Care. Only had to use it once but it paid for itself that one time.
Sorry, can't help you much with the questions you really want answered since I won't have a new MBP until (hopefully) next week but for Q4, I believe it depends on the peripheral. My current monitors are too old to allow them to be hooked up in a chain. Supposedly, if the monitors do have the ports, you could via the MBP Thunderbolt port. The speeds are also dependent upon the peripheral. If the external hard drive is using a USB 2 port, you are limited by that speed (480 Mb/s). If it has a Thunderbolt port, then from what I understand, we, my friend, are in for some great times because I believe your RAM will have the ability to access data as fast as it can take it at 10Gb/s (and if will need those kinds of speeds, the 8GB of RAM may be the way to go). The Thunderbolt demos on YouTube where they are accessing four video files from a Raid drive, then sending them back out via Final Cut Pro to a monitor are amazing. I'll probably never push this machine to anywhere near it's limits but I can't wait to see what others do.
    Peace,
    Jeremiah

  • IPad screen too small (wide black border)

there is a wide black border around the screen, obstructing the wifi, time and battery at the top. I'm not sure what I did to make this happen, but it wasn't like this always...?

I need a bigger screen. I need a 15-inch version. Does anybody know when it's coming out?
I tried tapping/typing on the iPad, the keys are too small and too close together for me to be comfortably typing on it. I need it to be bigger, and I figure that if the screen can be at 15" then the keys can be the same size as what I have on my MBP, spaced out about the same.
Not quite like an iPad, but you can get a 27" iMac with a touch screen:

  • IPad is too big, iPod is too small.... There should be an in between!

I love the iPad. It does all kinds of cool things I want it to do but unless you want to carry a monster purse (or you're a man and don't want to carry a murse) it's too big for portability. The iPod on the other hand is extremely portable for anyone.... But it's too tiny for any kind of functionality. Typing is cumbersom. Enlarging a screen is annoying because there isn't enough area to enlarge some pages enough to read them and see something on another location on the same page at the same time. There are competitor products out there that are technologically inferior to the iPad but they would work by meeting the size requirements I'd need. Thoughts?

Rumors say that Apple will be coming out with a smaller iPad (7") about the size of a Kindle around March or April of this year. But that is only the rumor, I don't know for sure. In the meantime I would get a nice leather case to carry my iPad in, looks like a small handbag. Look Here http://www.targus.com/uk/cases_tablet.asp

  • Soft subtitles in video files are displayed too small on iPad

I have many mp4 files imported to iTunes Library. They contains some soft subtitles. But when I use iPad to watch, the subtitle is too small. I can't even read it. And iPad has no option to change the font size.
What can I do to solve this problem?

I have the same problem and cannot tackle it down yet. Using handbrake and itunes to sync movies and the subtitles are very small.
    Hope someone could help.

  • The photos are far too small on Ipad ?

I need to find out why the photos are way too small on the Ipad.  I used a filter on a photo then sent it to a friend .  Way to small to use for any purpose.
    any way to make larger?

  • IPod is too small.  iPad is too big.

The iPod Touch and an iPhone are too darn small. It is too difficult to type on the tiny touch keyboard. The frequent mistypes are infuriating. The keys I want to press do not get pressed. A physical keyboard would help. And I have not bought an iPad because it is too **** big. I can't carry it all the time. What I want is a bigger iPod Touch. Big enough to be easy to type on, and small enough to put in my jacket pocket. About 6 or 7 inches.

Steve Jobs yesterday said that a 7" iPad was not something Apple would do. So while it's possible they might change their minds down the road, it's not going to happen anytime soon. There are some external keyboards that claim to be compatible with the iPod touch, but I don't think that's a solution that would work for you. So if a larger screen is a necessity, you'll need to consider some other product, perhaps one of the 7" Android-based tablets starting to be announced.
    Regards.

  • Hi! I'm from Brazil and I'm having troubles with subtitles. Watching movies from iTunes and Netflix, the subtitles shows yellow, too small and into gray boxes! I'm having this kind of trouble with my iPad also.

    Solution found.
I am a Vodafone customer and installed the Vodafone app which asks you to turn off wifi connection on installation as it needs to communicate with their servers over 3G.
After restoring the iPad via iTunes this is the only app that I did nor re-install and seems to be too much of coincidence that while in full screen view watching films my wifi is switched off and 3G data connection is established 10 - 15 minutes into a fiilm and my data allowance gets eaten up!
I would also get push notifications from Vodafone saying "my daily data usage was almost used" with this app installed.
Have tested and on 3rd time watching sky go still wifi is on after 30 mins.
DO NOT INSTALL VODAFONE APP FROM THE APP STORE.

My husband's only way to communicate is with ipad.  He now has double-vision.  The icons are too small.  Is Apple planning on accommodating us boomers and handicapped with a larger icons? Zooming doesn't help because it's not a permanent setting and he can't change it too meet his needs because of limited manual dexterity.  I understand and appreciate the desire for consistency, couldn't they make a two or three size option setting. Small, Medium, Large and maybe Xlarge?

Thanks.  Tried it.  The size of icons is great but now the part of the screen is missing.  For example, he likes going into his  music app, yes, it was easier for him to see and select, but once in the app he couldn't see the sides, so he couldn't select song without a double-tap to get it out of zoom.  I will see if I can arrange his pages so that all icons show.  This is a sort of work around.  Larger icons would be a better solution.  My husbands illness makes him akin to a person with ALS, so his ipad is his prized possession.

  • I have an Ipad Air. I have tried posting videos from Ipad (that I have saved from Nikon & I have taken with the Ipad Air) to Facebook but I am getting a pop up that video is too small and needs to be at least 1 Kb. The videos are at least 30 seconds.

Do I need to change a setting?  Thanks

I have tried to post the video from the video itself and also I have tried on the Facebook app and Facebook.com.  I go to select video, then I write something about the video.  It's showing the video attached before I even "post"to Facebook.  Then I hit post and that's when I get the pop up that the video is too small.

  • Images  too small to edit

Something just  happened here. In the past, when I open any photo in Elements 10, the image would pretty much fill the space. the bottom edge of the picture would almost reach the bottom of the workspace...whether vertical or horizontal format. Then I would create a duplicate and hit either ctrl + 0 (zero) and the duplicate would be a nice large size. ( Double clicking on the little hand in the tool bar would also do the same trick).
Now , for some reason, the picture opens to maybe 60% of that size. It's way too small to work on comfortably. The duplicate is even smaller.  When I hit the ctrl + 0 ...nothing happens size remains the same. If I pull on lower right hand corner to enlarge...it only enlarges the ruler and frame. Picture itself remains same small size. How can I get that back? I tried a system restore. that did not work. Thank you.

    Hi Barbara,
    Thank you for your response.
I don't use the Organizer. Never have. I have my own system which I've been using for over 10 years and thousands of pictures...first with Photoshop 6; later with PSE 7 on  earlier computers and now with PSE 10 since June 2012.  Its always been fine beforehand. And I have only had problems with 10 on this. Its happened before but I think last time it was under warranty and on screen dialog Support Team helped me get it back.
    This is how I work.....
Whenever I save my photographs, I create a (new)  file on the desktop.  then I will download all the images from that project  from the SD card into the file ( example...Quebec...or Dilapidated Houses; or Antique Car Show 5/2013;  etc etc.) OK then when I want to edit a picture.... I open that particular one in PSE. Then I immediately make a duplicate. OK Here is where the problem now occurs. Prior to today, after I have the duplicate on the screen.....I would just hit ctrl + 0 (zero)  and the picture enlarged to a nice size. Very easy to see and work with. (One can also double click on the little hand in the tool bar for the same effect). But something happened here and when I now do that...the image does NOT enlarge. It actually creates a smaller duplicate.  Which makes it VERY hard to edit when its so small.
Please refer to the page  attached to this email file. These should help to show what my problem is here.
How do I get back the function where ctrl + 0 (zero) or double clicking on the toolbar hand gives me a nice full image?
    Thank you.
    Art Herman
