Apple ID (your e-mail address) that was used to purchase apps are forever tied to that Apple ID for updates.
Apple ID cannot be merged or transferred to another Apple ID.

    I've changed my ID mail and now iCloud doesn't work. Everything is working, even if I access to iCloud from Safari (with my new ID) but i have the problem on my iPhone and iPad.
    It keeps asking my password and the mail is the one i had before, it's like it didn't change. I've tried both passwords, old and new and no solution. I've changed twice the password thinking it would be the problem and still isn't working.
    So now I can't do anything because there's no password to access so i can't even delete my iCloud account.
    Is there anything i can do to make it work? It's weird that everything works except this.

    Alright, please follow these steps in order to get it working properly again.
    Please change your Apple ID back to your old email address (that you used as Apple ID before) here: http://appleid.apple.com
    Then go to all your devices - iPhones, iPads, Mac etc. - ("Settings > iCloud") and delete your iCloud account from this devices (+ turn off Find My iPhone, but I guess it will ask you that anyway)
    After that go back to http://appleid.apple.com sign in again, and now change your Apple ID again to your new email address.
    Finally, set up your iCloud account on all your devices again.
    Now, everything should working properly again.

    You've done great so far to upgrade to Leopard & install more RAM. Now install the 10.5.8 combo update at http://support.apple.com/downloads/Mac_OS_X_10_5_8_Combo_Update
    After you install the 10.5.8 update, click on the Apple in the menu & select Software Update. You will then be informed of some application updates. iTunes may be one of them. Then click to install the app updates.

  • Help! i think i have created a corrupt mail and now it's stuck...

    hi guys
    i have a mail in my drafts folder which has no recipient and no subject, there are also 2 other email in there which i have not saved as drafts. they will not delete and my whole mail program has got stuck.
    my activity viewer says:
    [Drafts - my address] Updating full index
    Indexing 0 of 3
    [my address] Synchronising with file
    Reading mailbox file
    I have force quitted and restarted my computer a number of times but nothing changes, I think it is something to do with this weird file.
    Can anybody help me?!

    In a console window type the following
    echo CLASSPATH=%CLASSPATH%
    It should respond with (at a minimum) a period, like this
    CLASSPATH=.
    You can make sure there is a period in it with the following
    set CLASSPATH=.;%CLASSPATH%
    Then it should run.
    Also verify that in the java file that it says 'public' in front of 'class'

  • I have a laptop, we recently changed to ATT MIFI and now it gives me a time out error when I try to open firefox. How do I solve this problem. I really like firefox.

    We just changed to ATT MIFi and every time I try to go into firefox it give me "The connection has timed out". My husband's laptop doesn't give him that error. I had previously been on satellite (hughes.net). I had problems with explorer but that has been fixed. I really like firefox and would like to get it fixed.

    iphoto its pictures are still on your computer under the pictures folder.. it will be one file that says iphoto library. Its a separate file from the actual program.
    If you still have the disks that came with your unit they have the ilife applications on them. put the disk in your drive that says mac os x applications dvd. it will auto mount and there should be a folder called bundled software open this and there should be a .pkg file to reinstall the ilife suite which includes imovie iphoto iweb idvd and garageband .  After installing don't forget before runnig the program run software updates to download the any fixes
    if you r unit has disks labeled disk one and disk 2.. you need to boot off of disk one and choose install bundled software.

I did this successfully for ITunes but it seems my Icloud account is still showing my old ID, so how do I change my Icloud ID? someone has said to my just to delete the account but wont I lose my storage etc?   • My ipad was logged into a fake (typoed) account, and now I cannot update any apps.  Help?

    For whatever reason, very clearly a simple typo, it logged me into '[email protected]'.  I don't know how, I don't know why.  I do not have a password for that account, to my knowledge that account does not exist.  However, now *all* of my apps, especially those I have bought (and can prove to have bought) with my real account, ie, [email protected], are listed as [email protected]  I cannot update any apps, as they say they are linked to another account.  I bought them with this account, the other account doesn't even exist.  What do I do?

    Yes.  I have also wiped and restored the ipad.  I have also tried updating the apps via itunes on my mac.  It always says the account is [email protected]  It isn't.  I have proof I bought it with [email protected]  I have credit card receipts, apple receipts, et cetera.  The account has always been, and will always be @gmail.com.

  • My 80 GB classic won't read the files I have synced up to it over the past 4 years, but it still shows that the files are still in there somewhere. How can I recover those files?

    I manually manage my music on my iTunes library. Once I have it downloaded on my laptop, then click and drag it to my iPod, I delete the files from my computer to save memory space. So I basically don't have ANY back-ups to over half of the music that was on my iPod. The other week I did what I usually do to add music to my iPod, but once I disconnected it fro  my computer, my iPod said there was no music, movies, or anything on there. If you highlight over the Settings it reads that there are still 60 GB of space free out of 80 GB. How can I recover those files that are clearly still on my disk without erasing everything I installed into it?  

    In my Computer, click the  iPod icon ->Properties->Tools->Error Checking
    Click Check Now.
    If it doesn't help, you have to use 3rd Party apps to recover these lost files, as the iPod filesystem got corrupted.

    Hello David. Open System Preferences > Sharing. At the top you will see Computer Name and the old Mac Pro name. Highlight this and change to the preferred name.
    Sometimes you also need to use the Edit button under the name. But if you change the name in the first view and then press the Edit button, it should show the new name you just set.

    Go to one of the authorized computers and de-authorize it individually.
    The one year limitation is ONLY for the de-authorize all option.

  • My IPad shows I have 1.1GB of mail and attachments. What am I not seeing? I have went into each account and deleted messages from all folders (inbox, sent and trash). It still shows that I have that much space used.

    I could really use some help. Probably an easy fix, but I can't seem to figure it ou.

    I would start with taking a look at the settings to make sure that you are able to send and receive messages. If everything looks good then the next step would be to remove the accounts and add them back in.   • TS1538 I have had issues for a week now. Cannot update or purchase from iTunes. Sign in appears then, before I can even input my info it vanishes. App store says I need 24 updates but when I press the icon to do so, it states that my device could not conn

    I have restarted device several times. Have unplugged wireless several times. Have done everything Apple has stated to do on their trouble shooting page. Have called Apple seeking advice. Was told for 35 bucks they can help over the phone or choose the free email. I chose the free method and followed what they suggested! Still nothing. I am incensed that they want 700 dollars for this POS and then want 35 bucks for verbal customer service!! I will never purchase another Apple product again if this does not get resolved. I am so disappointed. Then to be told that "for a fee" I can get verbal help. I was told my product warrantee has expired,  I wonder if it expired as soon as I had issues. I am fed up! Looking for window to throw this out of or place it where an automobile is backing up.  I would like the last week of my life back spent trying to fix this hunk a junk!! Oh, they had no problems before taking my money for songs and apps! Why can't they help fix this issue!!

    DVD drive for installation
    9GB of available disk space
    You have to purchase the upgrade from Apple for $129. You ned to call and order ti since it is not listed in their on-line store. You can also try eBay or Craig's List.

    The files that weren't inside the media folder on the original machine need to be copied over to exactly the same paths as they had on the source machine. See this thread for an ongoing discussion of a similar problem. See also this post on migrating the iTunes library.
